It's beautiful to see the amazing and loving people of Suriname. Wode Maya, thank you for allowing me to travel with you through your travel. The warm welcome in Suriname made me shed tears, but of joy to see my other lost cousins. Thank you from Concrd, NC. USA.
Hey Wode Maya, it seems the path you've been on was guided by a higher force. You initially planned to visit Jamaica after Brazil, but it appears that the divine had different intentions for you. Instead, you were led to Suriname, then Guyana and after that Trinidad and Tobago. As the scripture states, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
That was an awesome segment. I don't know a lot about the country. But this video has sparked my interest. Beautiful people. Peace and love from Melbourne.

Maroon Village eh! Wonderful . In Jamaica we have Maroon Town. These people are mostly from Ghana. The Ashantis and Koromantins were great fighters. They learnt Military strategies from the great woman, Nanny of the Maroons and her brothers, They had Ghanian names. Accompong which is Acheampong in Ghana, was one of the brothers.
The English took a lot of people with them from Surinam to Jamaica and Guayana when they left Surinam to the Dutch. They where the same people becoming marrons in Surinam and Jamaica and Guayana. Same blood.
Surinamese and Ghanaians have a very interesting history. I met the ambassador here at a meeting and she heard my name and was like what, you have a similar name to my people. It was very interesting what the history is. You should deep dive into the history more. I await to see what you find out Maya.
