$650 for a new driver every other year? Sign me up! $500 for a putter that will never wear out? No thanks! People are, as James would say, "absolutely hilarious"😂😂😂
I’ve had a Rose version for a couple of years and it was second hand and had a non standard grip. I emailed Axis asking for the UK rep and they said they didn’t have one but very kindly sent me a new grip from the states for nothing. Really enjoy it . Wanted the all black one but couldn’t find one.
I found the axis tour 1 which I love at pga superstore also for $149. Great putter at a reasonable price. No thanks for $500. The store was closing out their inventory of the brand.
@@markfeldman6509 Same for me. I will say this too, I regripped mine cause I hated their grip and it didn't the change no torque/weight distribution at all in case anyone was wondering
I saw a sneak peak from a Callaway rep yesterday. The two things he was by far most excited about was their new driver line and the cruiser zero torque. $299. Id wait for that if the price bothers you.
@scallywagturk Ah come on now you know they release a new one every year. Everyone does outside of Titleist and maybe PING but not really so much anymore.
I enjoied this review. I have a PXG but am interested in all putters in this genre. PS - no putter totally eliminates bad fundamentals. Pay attention to fundamentals and try to identify and eliminate faults.
I sold my 2 putters and had to use a 30 quid macgregor mactec spaceship looking thing and I putted beautifully with it. Never been able to start putts on line as well as I did with that mactec. It's staying in the bag for now!
Got a Mezz and it works for me. Put my faith in the technology and so far I feel more confident with it. It’s not for everyone and it was a big purchase but hopefully be with me for several years. Driver are £600 and not used anywhere close as much as a putter. So think it can be worth the investment. It’s not a miracle stick though. Still needs pointing and hitting
@Nate-r6z would love to see 18, but outside of the next 100 series, generally, these videos are shorter format. Also, looking forward to the mid handicap matches coming soon, which would also make a good match with the pros paired up with their mid handicapper.
In fairness, James is a good putter, so could make an old bulls eye putt well. Poor putters need a crutch, or a confidence booster, if this ticks your box try it. I have an old spider, would never change it, so easy to use, at least i find it easy to use. So that classic six inches between the ears is whats in a putter box, if you believe in a putter, chances are you will putt well.
Let me ask this.. if you’re holding a putter with a firm grip, how would it have the ability to torque? The head shouldn’t move if your stroke and grip are good right? I’ve never understood the LAB putter test where it free hangs and doesn’t move. That’s great but the golfer is going to make an impact on the stroke.
As always, love the content, but I have an idea for the channel (besides flying me over from the US to be on the channel). I know both Gaz and Chris are a big part of your life and channel, however we never see them both on the channel at the same time. I would love to see a Gaz vs Chris match. You and Bobby vs Chris/Gaz or however you'd match it up. I think that would be a fun series to watch. Also, from the last few putts on the green it appears slightly flat lie angle wise for you
If you spend that much money on a putter, it better have the name Scotty Cameron on it! Otherwise you’re throwing your money away! No putter holds its value like a Scotty! My 10 year old Scotty is worth more today than when I bought it in 2014!
500-800 for a putter. Sure it looks nice. But that is ridiculous. Want to be a better putter, take your putter and practice. This is what will Kill golf over time this endless upsell of clubs. Too elite, too much.
Axis1 putters have been around with that tech for years now. Idk why they would build that putter with the logo up on the shaft. That would turn me off before I even try it.
i dont understand why people are shocked at the price, more and more technology is now going into them and they are the most used club in the bag.People will gladly pay it for a driver
Takes zero account of how everyone "swings" their putter. The most important club to be properly "fitted" for is the putter. It is the one club that could save the most shots per round. £500 for it too!!!!! Ouch!
@ the putter has never been the problem, lol. The fact that I even thought about hitting a hosel rocket with a putter is a pretty good indicator that the gray matter in my melon head is what needs replacing.
Lots of technology but $500 still out of reach for Mr Average
$720 CDN is not a bad price ? Madness James!😂

Copied? 90% of all putters out there are basically copies of the Ping Anser.
WOW, this is my putter. I've owned it for like 3 years. I found it at PGA Superstore on clearance for $159. It's great
Yeah. 500 bucks is nuts

I got one at $149 too

People forget that Axis 1 were the first zero torque putters.
Another nearly $500 US dollars putter. Seriously????
would you pay it for a driver?
@@dereckjones6980no
Nope
@@atfinthehouse8631 fair enough
I'll have to stick with my l.a.b. being a lefty really limits my options unfortunately.
Nothing is getting me out of the DF3

You lost me when you said new driver line. Usual sales rep garbage.
@scallywagturk Ah come on now you know they release a new one every year. Everyone does outside of Titleist and maybe PING but not really so much anymore.
Like new drivers or all clubs in the hands of a PGA professional everything is nice... Get those high handicappers trying these out...😊
I just picked up a mint 98 Ping Anser F Ti WRX for 20 quid. You won’t find anything sweeter than this!
What's your thoughts of having this putter and technology with a longer counterbalance shaft and grip. ? Could it be the grail to some ....
I enjoied this review. I have a PXG but am interested in all putters in this genre.

Never seen one or anywhere you can try one so I’d never pay that much on a whim.
At $500 this is hard to justify. There are some really high end putters around $300.
I picked mine up a while back from a Play It Again Sports for under $100. Great putter… I love having it in my arsenal.
It looks nicer than the LAB and new EVNROLL ones anyway.
Got a Mezz and it works for me. Put my faith in the technology and so far I feel more confident with it. It’s not for everyone and it was a big purchase but hopefully be with me for several years. More expensive than the Alan putter and the Evnroll ZERO.
Putters should be $120 tops
Naw not really. Drivers should cost less than putters. Putter's last way longer and you use them way more.
Got Gaz and Chris in the same video. Now we need a 9 hole match with the three of you!
Why 9 holes instead of 18. A stroke play competition would be nice, but it wont happen.
@Nate-r6z would love to see 18, but outside of the next 100 series, generally, these videos are shorter format. Also, looking forward to the mid handicap matches coming soon, which would also make a good match with the pros paired up with their mid handicapper.
I really hate those brutal, villainous, mass murdering copies.😅🙄
Just bought Evnroll zero should have waited for this. Just a not axis is only zero torque without massive shaft lean which is a plus

Axis putters have been around for a while, they were really hot on tour a few years back.

I’ve never understood the LAB putter test where it free hangs and doesn’t move. That’s great but the golfer is going to make an impact on the stroke.
The best looking of these type of putters, IMHO, but do they really hole more putts than any other good mallet?
As always, love the content, but I have an idea for the channel (besides flying me over from the US to be on the channel).

Interesting concept... how does it stack up to the Allan and the LAB putters.. ??
But where can you try them in the UK?
No thanks. I can miss putts just as easily with my $150 second hand stroke lab ten with stability shaft.
Of all the new putting grips, the prayer grip sure seems to be the least stable, especially with smaller grips.
Wilson Infinite Bucktown is well balanced. A good choice. 🙂👍
It gives me the feeling by looking at it that the toe would open upon contact. I’m sure I’m wrong just how looks to me.
Justin Rose has been using the Axis for at least 2 years. Pretty sure they were around long before LAB, but I could be well off
Rose switched to a Scotty T-5 mid year. I think success is usually the user and not the tool.
@@billbruggink3681 totally fair! I was more saying that this isn’t a new company as they have been around in a very niche market for a while.
Is this a expensive face balanced putter basically?
Looks like your greenkeeper has driven a tank over the green......😀
someone follow square golf and make affordable shit please $500 for a putter is just joke james com on. just making stuff for pros
It’s bizarrely ugly yet beautiful, great review James
James, 2 putts out of 6 , and 1 out of 3 . Think Chris needs to give you a putting lesson😂
Look at tour averages ⛳️👀👍🏼
How would you know what it looks like before you even unwrapped it?
It’s not a blind date Stan
Another one for the doctors.
That was Justin Rose putter and he ditched it fast LOL. Been out for years, now I see they have black. Axis 1 COPIED NOBODY
I thought Rosie only swapped it out this year

Can you test the ping 37” tomcat?
Call me old fashoned but today's putter s are horrible I use my Wilson tpa have done for years 😊
Justine Rose used an axis one for years, so who is copying who?
Looks like James sets up with face open and pulls it...
Strange the capto numbers don’t say that, maybe more of an illusion with the camera
I try to stay about 150 on my putters..
I’d rather miss a 8fter with my versa 7 $150 then that $400+

Don’t speak those facts too loud. Hopefully the lab putter guy doesn’t come after you for this. lol lol
It’s not lie angel balanced low torque yes
All I ever needed was a putter that gives me the best opportunity to hit a hosel rocket.
If your hitting hosel rockets with a putter the putter isn't the problem

£408 for a putter. Not a bad price? (It is if your getting it for nowt), Your losing touch my friend.
I actually thought they were less tbh. Still in line with other putters of similar tech though I guess
Can't afford
Looking down is not appealing. My golf gods 💩emoji putter looks better and is face balanced and feels good for $50 save your money
