    There's my dude! Serg, that was a fun review. I was dying to see what the car does at 0 battery, but I guess it kept going for safety? IDK, but loved the review and hell yeah on the LEGOS; i got them for Christmas too albeit, mine were the Adidas Superstar sneaker. I gotta get out to ur land man...it looks freaking awesome!

      Michael mate! So glad you liked it! Something different you know :D Haha I got that comment a few times already! So apparently the car still has 20% battery when it gets to 0% but I wasn't willing to try it out on a brand new car 😂 Would've made the video so much better too haha! And mate I'm a big Lego fan so cool to hear you got some as well! I might be bringing it to the second channel 😄🤫 How have you been?? Also where are you located?

    Three things which could reduce range in your test 1) You claim to have been using regenerative braking but every shot of the dash showed "D" (drive) not "B" (braking). 2) You had air con and seat cooling on 3) What mode did you have selected ? Normal is more economic than sport
    I have a UX300e in the UK and make a regular 102 mile (164km) trip which always shows a remaining range of 90+ miles (145 +km) at the end. The trip is about 50% motorway and then 50% crossing the Pennines which is what passes for hills over here. We use Android auto and a phone for sat nav, I do wish they had build n sat nav and a touch screen.

      @SergCarReviews  6 місяців тому

      Hey Arthur! Thank you so much for watching mate! It was a while ago so I don't remember the mode B or D, I did jump in and out of the car more than a few times so may have picked D a few times. It would've been in Normal because from memory Sport didn't really make a difference. With the air con and seat cooling, here in Australia it's very standard so it would've been an unfair test to do it without.
      And interesting because the sat nav is standard here! How long have you had yours?
      Thank you again for watching 😄😄😄

    Another great Vid! The range is very dissapointing to say the least, we get about 175kms from our 300e, hoping it gets better as the weather warms up in here the UK. One thing we cant fault though is the cost of running this car. We charge up at night and it costs between £4 and £5 for a "full tank". With fuel at £6.50 per gallon and rising, this is working out to around 125 miles per gallon (i think thats about 45km/litre??) Cheap as chips!!

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  2 роки тому

      Hey Simon! Thanks so much for coming over and checking out the channel! Wow, that is rather low!! And that's up there! That roughly equates to about 70 cents extra per litre than the current price in Aus! At this point we'll all be buying electric scooters to go everywhere 😂 Anyways thank you so much for watching and appreciate your kind words! Hope to see you on the next one :D!

    Funny vid.😀 I liked it.
    I just got a used 2008 Honda Accord to replace a 2000 Acura TL (262k miles) with a chronic check engine light. I used to fill my tank once a week in the Acura, now it's every two weeks, (tank not even fully depleted) in the Accord because of Econ-mode. Basic 3.5L non-hybrid engine. 🙂
    As car tech progresses, EVs and Hybrids will and should become the standard.👍
    The days of horsepower wars will eventually, and sadly, come to an end. 😒
    Torque competition commence.🙂

    Good video, but no one is going to intentionally completely drain the battery, same as no one intentionally runs out of petrol.

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  2 роки тому +1

      Hey mate! Welcome back! Totally agree with you! This video was more intended to find out the real range of the car to see what can be done. In most cases petrol cars never do the average fuel they say they will, but getting fuel is easy and painless and if it's a litre off (per 100klms) its almost expected. However when it comes to an electric car and getting electricity is not as accessible or quick, then I think it must be known as to what the real range could be because people now need to plan a trip in advance. Anyways mate so glad you enjoyed the video and good to see you again :)

    Hi Serg,
    We are just replacing our 18 Leaf with a UX200 petrol. The Leaf has pretty much the same range as the UX300.
    Forgivable in the Leaf but not the new Lexus.
    Realistically these EVs are good for roundtrips of less than 200km. Ideally about 100km/day so you can charge at home overnight.
    Horses for courses, we much prefer the EV but being in the country the range restriction is a deal breaker. Even the UX250 makes no sense for us doing long country runs. The bog standard UX200 with 17" wheels is perfect.

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  2 роки тому

      Hey Darron,
      Firstly thank you so much for watching mate!
      I think that's a great idea, Im a big fan of the UX200. Out of all three I really think it is the pick of the bunch for the average user. The fuel consumption of it is amazing and when you compare it to the other two and do the calculations of fuel saved over extra cost (for the average user) it isn't worth it. I say average user for someone who'll be keeping the car for around 5 years and will do that 15k-20k kms a year.
      Let me know how you got with your purchase and keep me posted once you receive it :)
      If you have instagram feel free to send me a message there!

      @@SergCarReviews Thanks Serg.
      A few years back we had a diesel A3 sedan which was a great little car. It came with 19" wheels which were nuts. We swapped them out with old 16" VW mags and the transformation was unbelievable.
      We drove that car all over Australia including deep into NE of the NT.
      Have been looking for a cushy, reliable small car for a while and the UX was a good option. A sporty UX seems like an oxymoron. We drove both Luxury and F Sport and there was nothing extra in the F Sport we would want to pay for. Plus we were arguing with Lexus to get smaller wheels.
      Stock of all cars is terrible now so prices of demos is higher than new orders but a new UX Luxury does not have the cross traffic or blind spot alert as standard which is essential for us over 50s. Pretty crap when a luxo brand scimps on safety features! Safety should not be an option!
      So we have settled on a 2019 Luxury demo car with 9,000kays. We pick it up on Wednesday.
      We do a lot of business trips to SA, from Ballarat. We are looking forward to taking the UX instead of the Transit (which is a great van with as much safety stuff as the UX) since the Leaf, or any EV for that matter, is useless for this type of travelling.
      Don't have instagram but will drop in later with our thoughts on the car.
      Love your energy bro, keep it up!

      @@darroncrick9993 Exciting stuff mate and well done on getting it! Yes you'll notice the 2019 base model came with all the features but then in the end of 20 (MY21) they released a watered down version for only 1.5k less (which made no sense to me). Totally agree I actually think the Luxury to be the best value model of the three!
      Congratulations again and talk soon! (If you get in touch later maybe send a fresh comment because sometimes the replies get washed away :) Have a great night mate and talk soon!

    Hey Serg, once the range hit 0 do you know how many extra km’s you got out of it before charging?

    • @SergCarReviews
      @SergCarReviews  2 роки тому +2

      Hey Edwin, So the car apparently should have 20% of battery charge left when it gets to zero but I wasn't game enough to try it on a brand new car 😂. My question then becomes if it actually is 20%, is it 20% of the claimed range or the real range?
