I gave up Heist league after 5 days because I just couldn't summon enough enthusiasm to play. Then I saw this video and now I can't stop playing. Soon as I could equip CWDT I switched to final setup and it was great fun levelling just by dashing into groups and getting hit :) Now with the amulet it's just a whole new level of silly. Thanks for a great build.
Nice! This build is actually pretty great for more than just the memes. I used to play necro builds in D2 with one of my students who had ALS (very poor motor control, difficulty speaking, but mentally 100% there). I'll bet there are a quite a few people who are looking for and play builds like this for all sorts of reasons that most of us might not necessarily expect.
I used to do a couple versions of Chilifreak's AFK Gone Balls good times this reminds me of that. Glad to see CWDT can still get work done thanks for the guide!
Tried this build out, I'm loving it. Easy to level using infernal Blow right up to 68, It synced well with the tree. Most expensive parts are a 6Link staff and the watchers eye!. But a 5 link staff and 2 rings are cheap and very Viable!. Build works with out the amulet for low tier maps, But that ammy makes it so much better! :) (was mapping with a 5link Staff and 2 Rings and no amulet for a bit with no problems on tier 5 - 9 maps) Just hit level 80 with the build, still using crappy rares (looking for better!) and loving it!. I'm still below 6k health but when it gets above 6k this build will really shine!. I usually play a Righteous fire build for my Lazy mans build but I now have a new favorite thanks to you!. Would make a great league starter!. as its quite cheap, easy to level, Good clear speed and can do tier 16 maps ok. Great Work, Hoping its still viable next league as it will be my league starter! :) Have a Sub you deserve it!.

What i mean is to try to rebuild the pob and make a guide for leveling with this build... from the start to endgame... like add in pob items and skills used from 5 to 5 or 10 to 10 lvls guide ? I think people are underestimating this build, and it's viability. First, most casual players, who something like this would be better for, like me, don't need 10 mil dps to instakill every boss and lol our way to delve 26k. Second, he shows LITERALLY no casting/flasks, but obviously the build uses them. Like movement abilities, flame dash. Second, while I started very late into 3.12 league, I leveled as this as my first char. Went 1-68 as a holy flame totem, then switched directly into this. for 1 ex I got everything but the watchers eye gem, cause that is very expensive at 4ex, which I don't have yet. So, end of league, 5 ex will get you into this build and easily running. It would be a lot less towards the beginning. I should clarify, you perfect gear he mentions in the video would skyrocket the price, but aren't really necessary to get it started. The jewels in particularly are pretty pricey with all of the passives. Now, it still wouldn't be my first choice as a first char of a league, but it certainly is doable. And it certainly will easily clear all content my filthy casual ass will get into. And it's lazy, which is perfect for me. I play POE to zone and relax, not try and beat my SF2 apm.
I spent a bit of currency and made a similar build. Today I had just started fighting a map boss and someone knocked on the door. Got up and answered it, when I returned the boss was dead and my toon was just standing there zzzz.
I already started your build and it works fine as hell! I'm using RF to level (yes, im an idiot:D) but it works really well with the 2 ngahamus ring:) one thing that's not really clear.. in what priority should i put the ascendancy nodes? I put the first lab on Tasalio, Cleansing Water (100% fire res and such) but don't know where to advance next
They are nice for getting a quicker start on the CWDT loops but it's not enough to make up for them having no life or resistances. Since we're losing an amulet and at least one ring slot I feel like also not getting any life out of the boot slot is too much to give up for barely any benefit.

@TrollErgoSum have you tried Volkuur's guidance and using Assassin for poisons? I used this many leagues ago, but never had the currency to really go nuts, but the poisons actually worked super well. Just food for thought in case of an alt version or something for future!
Yes actually, one of my old builds was a Cast on Crit Cyclone/Cremation Assassin that used Volkuur's and poison. I've definitely got that in the back of my brain for possible future use.
What about BladeFall instead of fire storm. I know it won't look as cool but it will synergize a ton with blade blast if you pick up a little bit of fire conversion. (Craft on your gloves)
Def more of a mapper. I haven't run it against any end game bosses yet but in 'active' mode it has the potential output of around 3mil Shaper DPS, and that will go even higher if Intensify/Pinpoint support get fixed for Cremation. The regen/recovery is so crazy that as long as you have Cremation up and you dodge the big hits it should boss fine, but might feel a little slow.
do you have a PoB for the active version? personally running cyclone version of prev cwdt chieftain build and loving it just looking at possibility of switching up to this as a slight change ^^
Is this build possible to win against Sirus? Hope to see a short video on that. Also, can u make another video showing how to further improve this build?
if the idea is to league start with this, dont. And it's not a good SSF build for the same reason as it requires too many specific items. However as a second or third character once you have a little bit of money yes. In today currency, i estimate his build around 10ex (not counting his trinket) and thats a budget version
I'm going to test this out, it would impact the survivability since we rely on regen/recovery to stay alive but the 40% more spell damage might be worth it.
This build seems really interesting, even though I'm rather a Diablo III fan and it was a long time ago since I last played PoE, so I understand almost nothing. Also watching this without a mouse cursor is kinda uncomfortable in some way :/
I wonder if this could work with the Abberath's Hooves as well....since we're already walking around doing fire damage and might need to start things on our own.
Abberath's is definitely nice but you'd be giving up a gear slot for life and resistances on a build that is already a bit starved for space for those mods. IMO, Abberath's is cute but not worth it.
In theory the build was soo good but without the watcher eye 20-25 ex and the clusters the build is half.I want to like this char but i had to quit after fail kill the hunter lvl 14
Playing on Xbone and let me tell you, the economy is silly there. The first night I looked the featured ring was all over the market but not one seller of a +30 life gain mod would sell. Got one that gives 24 life whenever igniting. The watchers eyes are between 2 and 25 or more exalts and only about 3 of them had the fortify mod (none with both fort and anger). Speaking of which- how are you running both and a skitterbot?! I don't see anything in the PoB lowering Mana reserves (although, my PoEmate app is somewhat lacking...) I got the whole build going by lvl 40 and cleared all acts deathless - first time ever tbh! I'm using Infernal Cry and then Leap Slap + Fortify. Having made the post game I will have to start replacing unique gears with life/res mod rares soon tho, particularly, my cold res nose dived after Kitava! Anyway, awesome build! Thanks for this :)

What would a PoB or build look like without using Cluster jewels? Does it even work without? Since you generally can't find these exact jewels in Trade, how difficult/expensive to make?
I do builds similar to this every so often. I get the process you are using, but how do you feel about a cyclone for ignite and depending on your ignite chance maybe a cast when channeling for additional ignite memes? In your experience would that take away from the dps significantly? I am trying to figure a way to make the procs more reliable as taking direct hits to get started does not seem like an optimized method for late bossing like Sirus.
If you want a simple set-up like that you can just do CoC or CwC Cyclone/Volatile Dead or Cremation, then you can have CWDT setup(s) to generate corpses and apply buffs/debuffs. I'm also experimenting right now with CwC Cyclone/Bladefall with Ball Lightning socketed into a Mjolner and CWDT Blade Blast. Still doing some testing and a lot of tweaking but I think there might be something promising there.
Great build, I'd love to play it. But because of greedy people I won't play. Why? Because Wathers Eye costs now 130 Ex. And I'm just starting the game in this league. It is very frustrating.

I am pretty close to your build now i wish I knew how to make a pastebin so you could take a look. Comparing my cremation damage and yours while using pob mine shows 12k while yours is 50k. I am only missing the two medium cluster jewels that you have since they are lke 5-6 ex each. Is there a reason you use skitterbots over lets say herald of ash?
Click -> Import/Export Build in the top left corner In the Build Sharing panel that pops up click generate Then click Share with Pastebin, you will get a link that you can copy and share. Regarding Skitterbots vs. HoAsh, the shock from Skitterbots is more damage than HoAsh. The chill also helps a little.

Yep this build still rocks in Ritual league. Have the random one shot deaths but just getting ready to slot in the small life regen cluster jewel.

7k life yes, Uber Atziri double flameblast is still a 1 shot, shaper laser probably would if you don't move.

you don't even need fire conversion , he has added flat fire damage from anger and from the ring i think

Vitality is being kept at a low level since there is only a little bit of mana left to reserve.

I think I did that right. I need to switch the HoA back out for skitterbots. Still have not got the two medium clusters with cooked and smoking.
