I just started restoring my 1998 Chevy S-10 that my dad and I bought brand new. I inherited my old truck back 2 years ago when he passed away. My low beams turn off when my high beams turn on. Going to check out the relays. Thanks helpful video!
As an avid S-series builder and a certified forklift operator...lol, but seriously every S chassis sale should come with the slot tutorial as 98-03% (dad jokes for days) of them are NEVER in the slots and pointing way too high leading to more S-series complaints about weak headlights..yea, gm decided to use Walmart speaker cable/28g bs on our headlights and the harness should be upgraded along with bulbs, but back to the point 👉 👈. Damn headlightsxare never seated properly, and I'm on truck #7. Even I have to fight with mine from time to time ad I hid 1000 harnesses thru the core support and its tight nut just thought I'd share my giggle as Noone ever covers the importance of seating these lights correctly... good video, clicked for a relay refresher. Haven't watched the video as inpaused at 1:30 or sonething, but hopefully you cover the "hidden" light relay under the dash drivers side up past the ebrake towards the column. As Noone ever mentions that when diagnosing lights being intermittent or non usable abd simply blaming the switch which isn't usually the problem. I've seen guys sell their "unusable at night" s10s and it end up being the 5P relay under the dash or a vorroded ground on the back of the "hidden" box lol
I have a question, my daylight running relay gets really hot, so I just took it out, I noticed when i do thanks the drivers side headlight goes out but the passenger side light stays on, what could be the problem with it?
I just recently had my AC fixed with new compressor and hoses but the guy bypassed power to my fuse box under hood so it is constantly running the compressor.ao now my main headlights are on in day time but switch is off inside I don't have daytime running lights but what happened to my main headlights why are they on now when I can turn them on inside.
My 1999 s10 pickup the light come on after the truck sits for awhile but sometimes they go out and won’t come back on… I’ve replace switch inside but even when switch is off the lights are always on… when they work…

didnt help me. all fuses, bulbs, and relays were good. apparently there is something else under the dash that is my next step

if you can turn your high beams on and both your lows and high beams are on all at once he might have grounded out your low beams
