If science in Europe remained unaffected after the objections to causality by Hume and Russell, then how did science come to an end in the Islamic world due to Ghazali's objections? This is because, unlike Ghazali, Hume did not issued edicts of heresy against philosophers and scientists, and did not discouraged the public from studying subjects like mathematics, physics, logic, and philosophy, as it could corrupt their faith. However, this is exactly what Ghazali did.
