So, is Chaos the same lava-proof baryonyx we see in Fallen Kingdom, or was it another baryonyx? Also, I like that at 11:05, the pattern on Chaos's leg was compared to the fractal design in the JP novel. The fractal symbolizing chaos theory and the ever-evolving complexity of nature.

It was another, what are the odds of it being the same one? Also itz not the only baryonyx we see, we also see the one captured and has the same pattern
@@tylerfish2701 But it didn't melt through, it just burned it. Lava is supposed to melt through and stick as it cools. That baryonyx should've been dead when it got a face full of molten rock.
The baryonyx of Jurassic World Evolution has the same colour scheme as chaos, and its apparently female like all dinosaurs in that game
@@gunguy2715 doesn’t make any sense. If you see a rabbit on this one place one day and then see another rabbit a few years later, with a similar color, will you think is the same rabbit just because of that?
These are awesome custom Mattel Baryonyx. I question myself why ONLY one person can get the dinosaurs accurate to the Jurassic World TV show than Mattel
Great job man! Totally fair criticism, they should do the paint jobs way better than this. We should make some noise about this, perhaps a petition might make them hear us? Maybe I'm just being naiyve thinking they would care.

Yesssss!!! This is how they should paint figures! Sculpt is pretty good but original paint skin is just made lazy. Absolutely great job!
Well I wouldn’t say lazy. I would just say that they weren’t as good as this. I still love Mattel, but this is definitely better
Awesome paint work Marco, it definitely looks way better then what Mattel gave us. I mean all Mattel had to do is follow through with painting the rest of the tail. and it would look way better.
This is def one of my favourite kind of „fixing” mattel toys. Just perfect. But i think the spino is my favourite. But this one is astonashing! Can’t wait for another one of these! ❤️

you seem like a really nice guy, and you are an AMAZING painter. I don't collect Mattel and this is why, however, if Mattel ever hired you to do paint schemes I would definitely buy them.

Great video! I’m kind of disappointed of Mattel because they have been cutting a lot of corners. I mean personally I think that the sculpts are getting worse compared to the JWFK line, they’re not bad but they used to be better, and the paint is really lazy. I don’t buy a lot of the Mattel figures, but I had the Battle at big Rock allosaurus, and although it came out before these ones the paint was really bad. I can also say that the mechanism with the allosaurus got worse too, you could just turn it upside down and the jaw would remain close most of the times, and this didn’t happen with the JWFK allosaurus. In general, I think the quality of the toys has decreased.
Marco, I wanted to ask you if you have seen the dinosaur animated short film "Old Buck" which is available on the UA-cam channel named Dead Sound. It's something quite interesting.

So I only have grim and when I was painting my figure just like you are I found spots of tan . Not a big deal but I was wondering if u had the same problem. I am going to do the same thing with the other figures.

I thought you were gonna compare the figures to how they looked like in real life, haha, such as how the snout should be much thinner and the creatures much larger to be 1:18 scale (ignoring the JW ones are juveniles).
Having said that, well done with the paint! I wish I had that kind of talent. I often feel tempted to repaint my figures, but painting is esotheric to me, XD, so I fear I'll just ruin them. I don't even know what paint to use!

Those are great and look wayy better then the original figures but one thing is bothers me is that you forgot to add the cyan next to the red stripe on grim ;-;
It would be cool if you got 3 hammond collection and repainted them as grim chaos and limbo

Hi Marco. I watched your amber collection review and you are totally right. I bought a raptor yesterday and it's jaw doesn't close because it is crooked and misplaced, it's sickle claw doesn't move, it's face paint is scratched and it's feet are open. This cost me like 40 plus dollars. I expected better. It would be great if you could make a video on how to fix a crooked and misplaced jaw on a amber collection dinosaur. Also thanks for the awesome review! I feel bad that your raptor's leg is glued. I will make an honest review in my channel about these figures because people have to know! This was my 15 birthday present I bought for myself so this is unacceptable. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

I used Arteza Acrylic paint. Link is in the description. As to which colours specifically I can't help because I don't remember exactly which ones I mixed together to match the mattel colours

Hi Marco makes your art is amazing when it comes to customizing Mattel action figures and the art is amazing and really detailed when it comes to art I think you should do a JP3 raptor sculpting the face and painting the colours for the male and make the quills out of metal and paint it with it's actual porcupine black and white colours and do the same repeating the sculpt for the JP3 raptor male but this for the female with it's dolmation dog 🐕 colours in a dirty white colour using the inspiration from (Jurassic repaints) on ytube from the amber collection Jurassic park velociraptor video that he's did

Perfect, one inaccurate thing is that the entire trio has a blue spot behind their head, but it's minor
So far… I’m not the biggest fan of the Mattel toys. I think the sculpts are really good. But some of the proportions are off, tails are too short, large feet, etc. The paint jobs are just lazy, they could do better, they CAN, but they just don’t. I want to like these figures, but I just can’t…

I wish you'd do more repaints with the main line. The sculpts on the large dinosaurs (and some of the smaller ones) are fantastic, but they're let down by a bland paintjob.

The only reason why I hate the Mattel figures is how damn short they make their tails!!! Seriously? Dinosaur tails were supposed to be used for balance! How can you make a 16-inch dinosaur figure stand like a dinosaur would if its tail is only like 5 inches long?? The Allosaurus, in my opinion, suffers the worst from this.
