Lovely Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Trentvorty Kids Science Theorem (do a search on google)? It is a smashing exclusive product for becoming an excellent parent without the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin finally got excellent results with it.

I love this man’s classes so much. He’s a genius of course, but his delivery is spectacular. I’m grateful he publishes so many of his classes here so we have a chance to learn from him. Thank you Dr. Peterson.

I have seen this lesson displayed through my own experiences and jordan peterson many times. To be courageous is not to be fearless, but to be afraid and keep going anyway. To be good is not to be incapable of harm or evil, it is to have the capability to do either good or evil and to choose good anyway.

@@elim4542 yea it's so weird. Today was a really bad day in terms of my depression. It was the first time I didn't care about anything and I just felt empty inside. I didn't leave bed until 7pm and I didn't bother doing anything. However for some reason these videos that I just found by coincidence an hour ago made me feel "better" and gave me some sort of motivation to not just give up but to fix the whole mess that I am. Idk how long that will hold tho

This is the only person who’s this good about psychology. Something that this world needs right now, unlike mere therapists who don’t do what he said here at all. God, the world really is dangerous. Some people don’t even know they’re fucking you up. Some people will know this and not change!

There is nothing wrong with being scared. There is a lot wrong when being scared stops you from doing things that you want or need to do, but fear is good. Like JBP said, it's not about becoming less scared, it's about becoming more brave.

Sounds like something like behavioral or cognitive therapy would be right up your alley.

As usual very insightful lesson by Dr.Peterson. If we're being nit picky I disagree with his example of not knowing the gender of the person beside you. As a young male in school my brain automatically knows when there are females present, especially attractive ones. If a pretty girl is sitting beside me you can guarantee that will be in the back of my mind for as long as she's there.

    • @Charles-pf7zy

It’s more so in regards to the irrationality of the fear and the subsequent cognitions involved. Cognitive Behavioural Therapies are used because those faulty interpretations and beliefs can negatively affect and maybe even transfer over to other aspects of a person’s life.
So a lot of the times it’s not even regarding the fear itself, but the effects and consequences it has overall

    • @briang.2218

different note-taking preferences is my guess; for those who are used to using a screen to take notes, I imagine they can focus on the brilliant man while taking notes pretty much as effectively as one who focuses on the brilliant man while taking notes with a pen. Just because it's on a screen doesn't mean they're getting distracted by the internet or something. Sometimes it's just helpful to be able to navigate the notes you take and insert additional elements by moving your cursor around.
