Shepard: "Palaven... We have an old friend there." Joker: "Don't you mean bo-" Shepard: "Trying to not make it awkward..." Joker: "Why?" Liara: * eye twitches *
War Assets are a big part of this game. Since you have used mods in ME2, there's a mod for planet scanning in ME3 that increases your scanning range. It'll help a lot. I'd also recommend checking back in on the citadel frequently. The side conversations continue every time you come back. Also the spectre terminal messages update often. All the models you collected in ME2 are randomly hidden throughout the Normandy. To answer your questions on what to spend money on, there's never a bad time to buy a new model or fish.
Don't worry about scanning in the galaxy map and revealing your location. You can easily out maneuver the reapers as they start off very slow and always enter the system from the same spot. Leaving and immediately returning to the same system resets them, so you can always get everything you want if you don't want to return later. Your ship's starting location in a system is based on where it's facing in the galaxy map.
Leaving the system and returning resets them to the system’s edge, but they renter the system immediately. Completing a mission (any mission, I believe) resets their surveillance level to zero, meaning they don’t renter the system until they pick you up doing more scans.
Alex in Tokyo and Lordas Sniegas are correct, reapers reset if you complete a mission that requires you to go out of the ship. Going to the Citadel doesn't reset reapers, unless you do a mission that features a cut scene (conversations with NPCs do not count).
1:08:00 - I'm not sure if you discovered this later, but "Reputation" is pretty much generic paragon/renegade points. It increases your overall p/r score, but keeps the same percentage. A bit of an improvement over how you ended up getting both paragon and renegade for some decisions in ME2.
2:32:50 Admiral Hackett still managed to save what was left from total annihilation which is total badassery right there. All the pressure on him, the surviving commanders, and Shepard is overwhelming. But having the strength to lead on and continue is admirable, pun intended. Also, for those that place the spacer Shepard route, there's a running joke among the fans of this series. Shepard: "Mom? I had a question..." Hannah Shepard: "What is it?" Shepard: "Is Admiral Hackett my real father??" Hannah Shepard: "I-should-go." *hangs up
When Adams talks about safety, if you don't upgrade the Normandy's barriers before the suicide mission in Mass Effect 2, one of your crew members does, in fact, end up vaporized.
BATTLE TIP! ironically, when someone is ABOUT to throw a grenade, standing up means the grenade will hit you, and bounce off you, as long as the grenade isnt on top of the cover, or on your side of the cover, it wont hurt you. and dodging sideways is very useful for enemies like the brute, In this particular game, being close to any "BIG" enemy, can result in an animation that kills you in one shot.
The difference between James' fortification choices is that one makes James, and only James, 40% more tanky and the other makes everyone in the squad 20% more tanky.
Some tactical tips (but no spoilers) 1) priority missions progress the story line (they aren’t time sensitive) 2) each outfit for your squad mates have different bonuses applied (example: one increases shields while a different outfit would increase damage)
@@LieraPlays Not a tactical tip, but a peaceful mind tip: you will get missions in your log that you cannot complete until you move the story forward. You didn't miss anything, so don't panic. That said, you never have to move the story forward more than once for a previously locked mission to come available (at least not that I can recall).
I was waiting for this from the moment you said in ME2 ''It would be cool if EDI was a companion''. Well, here you go, careful what you wish for next hahaha!!!
One thing about missions in ME3: If something is flagged as Priority this means "do it last after everything else is done" (with the exception of Priority: Eden Prime which should be done immediately). If you ever get the option to dock somewhere else than the regular docks on the Citadel - those are the DLC, one of which can be done whenever you feel like it (for story contingency I'd do a few early game missions first, but that doesn't really interfere), the second one should be done after doing a few mid-game missions because the DLC unfortunately contains spoilers for these missions and the last one should be done directly before the Point of No Return. 36:30 Aaand there goes the first War Asset. If you use the Paragon interrupt that comes next if you don't use the Renegade one she becomes a war asset and is on Shepard's side. The reaction of the Council is in fact very understandable - humanity wouldn't act any different if the Turians came to the Council and ask for help to retake Palaven. Not to mention that asking the Turians to send their fleets to Earth so that Humanity can retake their homeworld while Palaven, the turian homeworld, is also under attack by the Reapers and then saying they are a pain in the ass is a bit....well let's say it prooves once more that Humanity is not concerned about the other species but only about itself. Squadmate outfits are not purely cosmetic in ME3 (unlike ME2). Each outfit provides a combat bonus (extra shields, extra weapon damage, more power damage etc) - you can see what these bonuses are by clicking the Info button in the squad menu. PS: You missed something in Jack's old place.
@@LieraPlays Legendary Edition made these war assets far more important, than in original trilogy. In original trilogy multiplayer and some mobile game both had an effect on galactic readiness and there was an option to reset a max level multiplayer character to create another war asset. A friend often wanted to "shoot things", I have preferred cooperative games instead of competitive ones, so it was still possible to have the best endings even if I had a Shepard who wanted to focus on priority things, tried to rush things as a reaction to a sense of urgency. When you have played the game countless times it made sense to have such playthroughs too. In Legendary edition we can't depend on those characters, etc. anymore.
@@gergelyvarju6679 But I think effectivly the Legendary Edition makes it overall easier to obtain optimal War Assets overall in exchange too make up for the removal of the Multiplayer multiplicator in the OG ME3. This is from its fandom site: "Legendary Edition: Galactic Readiness does not exist in Legendary Edition as the multiplayer component has been removed. All War Assets are at 100% effectiveness and there is no Effective Military Strength value displayed in-game, only Total Military Strength. Additionally, the Military Strength points required for certain endings have been adjusted. For example, to obtain the [Censored by me becausue spoilers], you will need at least 7400 Total Military Strength."
As much as i don't like al-Jilani, i kinda stopped treating her like a punching bag, like it's satisfying to do it, but i honestly think responding to her is way more interesting in all games. Like i really enjoy in ME2 that going for Paragon response shows that Shepard still remembers ships and crews that were lost during the events of the Attack on Citadel (at least if you choose to save Destiny Ascension), and that it still feels like a hard decision for him/her, and in ME3 i like how Paragon response basically "creates an arc" for al-Jilani by persuading her to change her mind and actually help Shepard (not before showing that she's under serious stress due to new from Earth), making her understand that there's more at stake than just her "provocative reporting", it's a cool "even people with different views must join forces together to fight for their survival however they can" scene. Plus isn't that what she wants? Like Shepard (who's a trained high-ranking officer) punching a reporter, even if she was an annoyance, doesn't really color Shepard in a good light.
I have a really hard time seeing past her assholishness... And that's when we absolutely see that I am no Shepard, as she would definitely reason past my petty judgements.
@@LieraPlays Also, I've found that Garrus's proximity mines can be used as very accurate grenades too. Not the way they're meant to be used, obviously, but highly effective!
Grenades don't track like incinerate does, lead targets, use a hot key instead of the power wheel. Throw where the enemy will be not where they are, use them on groups or enemies in cover
Uff.. you ditched Liara.. that was cold......I understand why you dont wanna make 4 hours long episodes.. but my God.. i for one, cannot get enough of this game
Dont know if others in the comment might already told you. But I strongly recommend "Priority: Eden Prime" to do ASAP. Normally if you apply some common sense to most missions (like not ignoring missions that actually do sound like being timed). You are usually fine but Eden Prime is the "From-Ashes"-DLC and actually if you do not do it early on you are missing out of a lot potential content so just that you know. Its also a very good DLC in particular. ME3 DLCs are all (even if maybe a bit controversial) unlike ME2s good or even absolutely great. To experience this game with them from the get go for the first time and the extended directors cut ending is such a privilege. ME3 was not that much liked when it released you know. Unlike ME2 (where only biotic combos existed and all of them had to involve the Warp) ME3 is full of biotic and tech combos. Meaning you can cause Biotic or Tech explosions (which are very much worth) it. They usally happen if you prime your target with a primer ability and detonate them later with...well... a "detonater ability". Kept it really superficial here in case you want to figure out yourself what does what. Kind of a meta gamer/min maxer who spent thousands of hours in the ME3 Multiplayer back in the day...must resist backseat gaming... You could have chosen also Dr.Michel as your ships Doctor instead of Dr.Chakwas I mean yes I do not like her new hair model but and I have nothing about Michel. But not allowing Chakwas to be on a warship would be cruel. Though I really dislike that they changed the color of her hair now it looks like she has dyed her hair white. Well at least its not as offensive as from ME2 -> to ME2 LE where Kelly was made from a redhead to a brunette. 15:00 Okay thats just...oh boi. I have to hold myself back to not make even more fun of that scene. Dunno if alot of players have that issue or if its your character model in particular. I guess your Shepard has canonically a lazy eye now. Not always ofc...but muscles can get weak after a long day of looking through scopes and iron sights. "Turian Councilor". Oh boy. His name is "Sparatus" and in actuallity we do know all the names of all the Council members since ME1. And he is the very same guy that spawned an entire meme arround him that was arround the internet for many years by stating this quote by giving Shepard literal qoatation marks with is alien fingers "Ah yes, Reapers. The immortal race of sentient starships allegedly waiting in dark space. We have dismissed that claim." Also: Salarians name is Valern Asaris name is Tevos.
Its so funny. You are such a Paragon Shepard but when it comes down to the "The Journalist" you are full Renegade. If you do a Renegade playthrough one distant day make sure you never punch the Journalist at all. Outcome might suprise you. 1:08:23 listen...carefully. Well James calls male Shepard Loco. I think he generally thinks you are crazy. Dog!? Its a walking toaster! Richard L.(Leeroy) Jenkins. Is on the wall. Finally some respect for the man. When people and Shepard talk about people She/he lost under his/her command he usually gets forgotten about in ME. Its mind boggling that people throw arround all does casualty numbers and seeing continents burn but yet we have to keep in mind that the Reapers do not even fight to kill but to harvest (yes its still killing xd) which means all this godly power is them actually fighting with with one hand tied behind their backs and being quite reluctant using weapons of mass destruction. War of the Worlds? I prever the really old version of that movie. 2:17:29 ... Turians are based on Birds and Cats...this is one example that shows us this...*cough* You mistook your literal boyfriend for another Turian. Well lets say this slip up does not help with you washing yourself clean working for Cerberus. At least your boyfriend GARRUS (you know blue paintings and a giant scar from a gunship missile) worked for them aswell. (Sorry Chakwas take on it that Cerberus was working for you is to naive for my taste). 2:39:33 Me when my toaster settings were to high. And why is Adams (I think) suddenly limping here. Anyway well thats a good looking toaster right there (That is a joke). I mean everybody likes EDI but wow that it was necessary to save the ship to take over that body...convienient. Maybe she did not alert us on what she was about to do because we could have said "no" to it? *sighs* AIs...
As you progress, Traynor will also notify you of some side missions and side story missions. Those are treated like the other side missions, complete them before Priority Tuchanka.
The crew in the cargo bay don't mention the robot dog because it was originally a separate DLC (can't remember if it was only available with the Collector's Edition originally or what). Not to spoil it, but the hamster is running around in Jack's old room. It's hard to catch, but you can get it back. The fish I don't remember, but I think you basically have to buy them all over again. Was wondering if you were going to get back on the Liara love train when you started this game. Kind of glad to see you stayed loyal to Garrus. Also, I don't know if it makes a difference in the amount of damage your squad mates do, but you can equip your squad with the weapons you pick up/buy out in the world as well.
24:00 commander bailey doesn't understand why Udina picks him if he's so 'anti-political'. That IS why he picked Bailey tho. Apolitical = status quo. It is a privilege to not be or claim to not be affected by policy. Udina understands Bailey will just tow-the-line & be loyal no matter how corrupt he makes the system. Bailey can just say: "Following orders" BioWare does some good character writing. Hope DreadWolf is on par with golden age bioware.
If you tell Chakwas to stay with Hackett, she becomes a war asset and you can recruit Dr. Michel as your on board doctor. Allers is a very handy person to have on your side. Also, if you walk passed the various people having background conversations, you can get a feel for what is happening throughout the entire war. Charisma affects your Paragon/Renegade bonuses.
Another mechanic tip: using the weapon bench or changing load out when you find and unlock a new weapon unsets all ammo powers, so be sure to turn them back on again after playing with the load out.
Ah, Diana Allers. The reporter players love to hate even more than the one you have the bad history of punching. Lol Edit: if you are interested, look up online the story behind how that reporter character ended up in the game
You can advance all these side stories on the Citadel by leaving the area and coming back. Sometimes they unlock options at the Spectre Office terminal. Additionally, Dr Michel can update you on Kaiden's progress and the medical situation on the Citadel as the game progresses. Don't forget to speak to all your crew, even after finishing a conversation with them. They usually have an extra line or two after most missions. Avoiding the Priority missions is the order of the day, of course. The Priority story arcs have a handful of time-sensitive side missions that disappear after the priority mission is completed. The From Ashes DLC (Eden Prime) is available at any point before the final mission - most people say to do it immediately, but I personally wait until the second half of the game for squadmate availability. The N7 missions all have assets for Citadel side missions. If you can't find them during the mission, you can buy them from the Spectre Office - along with an excuse hiding how you acquired them. For scanning in Reaper-controlled clusters, it helps to skip the mass relay system and move in a clockwise or counterclockwise circuit through all of the available systems in a cluster and find all assets in one go, doing the relay system last. Most systems have destroyed fuel stations to scan and refuel before flying to the next system. They're usually in empty spaces between planets, but they give the same electronic signal as planets if you fly over them. So you don't have to randomly scan to find them - but if you _do_ attract the Reapers, you can exit the system then spin the ship and enter the system from a different direction to make a run that avoids the Reapers. If you enter facing "Southeast," you'll enter from the "Northwest" side of the system. On Vega's Arms Master lvl 6, the top one gives bonuses to everyone in the squad. The bottom is strictly Vega. Just like ammo powers giving you the choice of letting everybody use it, or just beefing it up to do more damage yourself.
1:43:15 Not sure if you want to read the codex entry about the Reaper invasion and the battle for Palaven, but it's pretty interesting. So if you read the codex, just like when Earth was invaded by the Reapers, they also suffered a similar situation. The Reapers flooded through the relay leading to Palaven. The Turian fleets were bombarded and had less range to target the Reapers. Conventionally, the reapers fired upon the Turian fleets from afar and were using distance to wear down the Turians. The codex states that two Turian carriers, which carried a massive fleet of unmanned drones and fighters, made a FTL jump to the relay the Reapers came through. Not only did the carriers manage to buy time, they also were able to determine the exact range of the Reaper weapons and gain a lot of tactical data. As a result, the fleets were able to move in close, outflank the Reapers and take out several destroyers. Prior to Shepard's arrival though, the Reapers used this same tactic against the Turians. They made an FTL jump, flanked the Turian space forces and the Reapers descended onto the surface of their home planet to begin the occupation/extermination. Which is why we see in the opening shot of the priority mission, the Turians are actually assaulting and attempting to retake Palaven from the moon instead of their home planet itself. But, every Turian willing and able on the surface is fighting. As they are a race that raises every single one of them to fight, they are holding out as best as they can for relief/support.
I've found that building for Damage is better than building for Durability because killing things faster is a much better defensive strat. Squad mates never run out of ammo and have excellent accuracy so building for damage and giving them a good gun will melt.
Talk to EDI and Jocker ;) Explore galaxies ( by radar ), reputation - important . Reputation score is developed by completing quests and interacting with NPCs, and the higher it is, the more seriously Shepard is taken. A high reputation score also unlocks additional dialogue options or cutscenes
I believe that council is in the right here, you come in and basically just tell them to send their fleets to help you while they just abandon there own people (not sure if it’s just me). And a reminder their own ships are getting destroyed too
I don't know if they're right, because divided we can't push any attacks back effectively, but Shepard's insistence that the first world to be saved should be earth is understandably met with disagreement.
Really early for me to comment, but in some situations, like the two asari talking in the hospital (6:00 in), you can go in and out of the local-area-map (use the elevator over and over again), and it'll just pick up the dialogue from where it left off last time you visited. That way you can listen to the whole story and not get confused about what they talked about last time you were there. Having a lot of fun watching you play this. Its been a while since I picked up the game, you make me want to play it again. ^^
In ME3, Garrus can get very OP depending on the skill upgrades. Focusing on his weapon damage, specifically assault rifle damage, combined with certain weapons can make him a god.
ME3!!! It feels like it's been a long time coming, but man I can't wait!! Please don't change how you play or react to the things and events in this game 🙏 I already saw a BUTT TON of "advice" lol especially about War assets apparently 🤦♂️ through exp. it's VERY difficult to accidentally not have a lot because there's sooo many opportunities for MORE, cause it's War 😅 but can't wait for the rest! Goodluck and happy shooting 👍
i think the fortification tier 6 that james has in arms master skill on top means that the other teammembers he is with get the 20% xtra. while the bottom one is for himself.
Happy Eighth Day of Christmas! And New Year too, I guess. Also, in the Spectre office, there's a shooting range. I STRONGLY recommend making use of it. There are weapons in this game with...unusual properties so the range lets you get used to them before you try to take them into the field.
You can talk more with Udina and Bailey. And you can usually talk to the squaddies more too, until they start repeating lines. Their dialogue isn't always cinematic in 3.
@@LieraPlays Often most NPC's with the "interact" style dialog (non-cinematic camera where you still can walk around) have 3 lines before they start saying a repeating "go away" kind of line (like James will just keep saying "Shepard." or "Commander." to acknowledge you when he is done talking for the time being during some phases). Not all, but it seemed like almost all followed that pattern when I played. I wish they had made it more obvious who still has things to say, because then they'll have more to say when you progress the plot and you just have to keep trying everyone basically after every mission.
Kinda sad you punched the reporter, you can turn her onto your side if you just spoke with her. Last thing you want in a reaper war is a reporter who is against you.
oh mass effect...how i have missed you...i wish i could rewind and do my first ever playthrough...as it is im on playthrough 16...yea...i know.....thats why i like to watch your channel, great stuff young lady....hope you have lots of fun!...and I subscribed :)
A 26:45 you got excited about the Black Widow; but that wasn't in the previous games. You're thinking of the Widow...but the Black Widow is more awesome.
No not really...it's the other way around! The Widow M-98 (that shoots one shot at a time before reloading) is the new one introduced in ME3 and was given the properties of the original Black Widow from ME2, while Black Widow itself was boosted to have multiple shots before reload at the cost of slightly lesser damage...Black Widow is a spectre weapon now, while M-98 is a regular one found on a mission much much later into the game...
Priority missions don't mean they have to be Priority. However the ones not listed as Priority are going to give you more war assets and a possibility to run into old teammates. Certain missions do have an invisible timer on how long they'll be available. If you miss out, it'll come back in a negative way. I'm in no way telling you how to play, just giving tips. Any DLC I'd hold off on doing until closer to end game. A few have special dialogue if you take your love interest. Also your crewmates can move around in this game and you can listen to their conversations if you linger long enough around them.
@@LieraPlays Np! This series is my favorite. If you like branching narrative games I recommend Detroit Become Human. 30 different ending, and ALL your choices matter. Also invisible timers but the game will imply when you're taking too long. Also magazines in game can be read later in extras. Looking at them in game, you miss out on important stuff. Sorry, another favorite game. Still recommend.
I imagine the turian situation is something along the lines of beetle bailey ending up general of the armed forces...so, yeah. :) LOTS of important people wiped out.
you're supposed to check all over the cluster you're in, the scanner only scans so far. you'll only know if you found something when EDI mentions it. but you have to be close
That's what I was thinking after giving it a go! I think I'll start with other clusters that don't have relays in them to make sure I can quickly flee if something happens.
Yea its nice the first thing alliance did with sr2 was put a memorial of everyone who died on the sr1s seevice from ash to all 22 people you had find dog tags for in m2
On my infiltrator insanity run, I saved up every credit I could to buy the Black Widow as soon as I could, and I'd do it again. If you are a good shot, the BW is a great sniper rifle, but missing is expensive in terms of wasted time and ammo. Your aim looks to be outstanding, so you'd probably make great use of the Black Widow.
59:30 I'm still very skeptical about the up-coming Mass Effect 4 game and what story and villain they can possibly come up with that'll be at least as interesting, terrifying, and as large in scope, as the Reapers' attack was. With that said...I certainly hope they make character models better and give female characters, in particular, some more muscle, and with it a more convincing physique, because it looks rather comical how Vega, with his bulk, should be going toe to toe with Shepard (even if she is the protagonist/player character), when he looks like he could rattle her brain with a punch. 1:24:30 NOOOOOO!!!! 2:42:00 I remember you making a comment, during your ME2 playthrough, about EDI possibly getting a body. :)
I find Edi and Ashley Typhoon (Garrus Typhoon alternative for Ashley's lowers) combo a bit to easy. I even dont need to shoot anymore. Of course sometimes companion AI (espiacially on Ashley) bugs out and they choose to stay behind cover from which they can not atack anyone :)
Yes... She is good. But I remember playing Multiplayer where we had a very similar character, and loved that character (and her abilities) even better. :)
Geez, I re-installed Skyrim because another UA-camr made me miss it and here you are with Mass Effect series. It's fun to watch someone else play. I am busy with Skyrim now, but I may just pick up Mass Effect again. Are you going to follow up with Andromeda?
For a lot of the background conversations, there's a lot of little side info that has been released over the years via interviews, tweets, and whatnot from writers and some Bioware developers. The connection between the PTSD Asari and one of your crewmates is particularly heartbreaking.
About the balconies in the Huerta hospital, I have an interesting story to tell. In Chicago, there's a skycrapper with protunding observation balconies. The floors are made of glass. People would go there and take selfies. In all of them, they'd be looking up to the camera. Never down. After a while I noticed that nobody would actually look down. I did, just to see if I could. It took some willpower, though. That said, those observation decks in the hospital are beautiful. Btw, I advise you to look at the building marked 780 throught the window. As an architect you should find it interesting to notice the spatial relationship between that building and the hospital later on. About the Normandy, you need to explore every nook and cranny you can find in the ship. Maintenance wells (spend some more time in Jack's attic. You might see something interesting), discarded boxes, everything. There are some nice surprises in some of them. You found a few, there are more around. I wonder what happened to Garrus' mother. In ME 2 she was sick. About the brutes, a little piece of lore (it should be in the Codex, I think). They are krogan Husks. Funny, yes? Also, IMPORTANT (but maybe spoilery): you are not just a soldier, you are the commander and moral compass for all of the other characters. They take their clues from your behavior, even more than in other games. Behaving as you want to migh have unpleasant consequences down the line. I suggest that you take the time to consider the consequences before reacting to a dialogue line. Then again, this is a game. You are supposed to enjoy it. If, understanding the stakes, you want to raise a little Hell just for the fun of it, I'm going along for the ride. Another important/ spoilery piece of advice. This game can be brutal. If, at any point, you feel the need of some fun escapades to make up for little boys going up in flames, I recommend playing the Citadel DLC (it's not available yet). It's a fun enough adventure in itself, but completing it will release some 20 interactions scenes that are very funny to watch. Be awarethat's better after you have all your companions available. Right now you have only four. Also, some people think you should play this particular DLC at last possible moment. I disagree, but it's up to you. And Happy new year, btw.
@@LieraPlays She is, isn't she? For fun, you might want to replay that scene in your free time, and see how it might go differrent. Or, you know, replay the trilogy at a later date to see the roads not taken. Because that's one of the most interesting things for the ME series, the replayability is enormous.
Liera, hi. I think this will the last time I discuss this subject, as I feel that I already crossed the line of good taste on this (sorry). I wouldn't sweat too much about a few points of support here and there. Few people to the upper limit. It's desirable, but not essential. What I think as essential is to make sure that some story points go the way you want them to go. Let me give you a fictional example. Let's be clear, what I will describe, won't happen during game, but something like it might. At some point during ME3, you'll be in the position to save the Salarian homeworld IF you did most of this checklist: saved the Council im ME1; convinced a politician to do a renegade action; took the right side in a discussion; saved a certain character. You could still pull the save of Surkesh if you fail one of those benchmarks, but fail two... And, to make it worse, while the Reapers descend on the planet and anihilate the entire population, you get to watch Mordin dying while begging you to save some children you won't be able to. Now, this specific scenario won't happen, But if Shepard doesn't navigate the politics of her situation just right, something depressingly like this might just happen. Mind you, there will be heartbreaking losses along the way (it's set in stone), and nobody wants you to play against your (very succesful, thus far) instincts. I just want you to understand the stakes and what might be necessary to win. In the meantime, I plan to keep taking great pleasure watching you play.
I would suggest the Eden Prime mission next, and since it's a ME1 planet, bring Garrus and Liara for some callbacks. It's also one of the few missions without that Liara dialogue issue.
@@rpmfla Agreed. So many women complaining about how bad and aweful the guys they are dating are. ... Well, if you friendzone all the nice ones... ...yeah.
@@LieraPlays My main game was very pro-human (Cerebus for the win!) throughout the first two games. Liara was a no go romance for me.... there is something creepy about a race who's sole procreational focus is on taking the best segments of your race's DNA, discarding the rest, while all their offspring still look Asari. Frankly, it weirds me out.. I swear they are up to something 😆
@@KeithDCanada Wow the general consensus of leading Asari scientists is to dismiss the claim that actually "DNA is taken" its more the randomnisation of DNA works better with other species. In ME2 an asari (while not being very objectiv about this matter because she dislikes all aliens because she lost her daughters) claims that in theory even some nuclear radiation could do the job. PS: Love to see someone who played pro-human RP run. Especially Femshep in ME1 going full anti alien is just gold. One of the few points of critic for Jennifer Hale is that she actually loved it a little bit too much to voice act Renegade Shep in comparison to Paragon.
No the upgrades never finished he said the hammerhead was probably burried under rubble you got no tank on board it was supost to be sent back to normandy but the reaper attack yea sorry your tank is burried on earth under some lab
Running away from Reapers trying to find things is the least fun mini game in the series. As a result I set my scanning range to cover the whole system with one pulse. 😛
In retrospect I really dislike and am saddened by how Mass Effect (and most games, shows, movies etc. actually) undiscriminatingly shit on politicians and - to a lesser degree - on reporters. Is corruption and bullshit happening in those fields? Absolutely. Maybe even more so than in other parts of society but I'm convinced that there're also still politicians who have the good of the people they represent at their hearts. I feel like their usual depiction in contemporary pop culture is part of the reason why most people seem to look down at them nowadays. They do make convenient targets and ironically it's mostly those who're least interested in the common good, who stand to gain most by it. It's up to us to inform ourselves and elect the good ones I'd rather have elected representatives make the decisions than the military or other strong (but unelected) leaders. Of course those are the heroes of the stories we're told but that doesn't have to be the case in reality.
ME:3 is such a great game. It does an amazing job of wrapping up series-long galaxy-wide stories. As far as when to do certain missions, I would suggest making sure to do every side mission available before moving on to the next story mission (I believe the story missions have names starting with "priority"), especially the Grissom academy mission, it goes away if you don't do it quickly and there are sad story implications later if you miss it. The one big exception to this would be the Citadel DLC. This is technically a side mission, as it has no effect on the main story, but you should do it as late as possible in the game. The best way I know how to explain it without anything that I would consider a spoiler (because many mission names have spoilers in them), is do not click on the "Personal apartment" docking option when entering the citadel at least until you reach the point in the story when the Asari counselor asks to meet with you on the citadel. The DLC is still available for 2 more missions after that, but the story gets much more urgent after that point and it would feel weird to do a funny vacation DLC in the middle of those missions. Obviously that is just my personal opinion, you can go all the way up to the point where the game warns you that there is no going back (technically it is Hackett that warns you) and do the DLC at that point. The Citadel DLC is my favorite, it is absolutely hilarious, kind of ridiculous at times, but still amazing.
The way she reads may indicate she needs to use glasses or contact lenses. When someone has bad sight, the reading is very characteristic. I am way too obsessive to not be bothered by that kind of stuff, I am thinking all the time "put some glasses on, gal" XD
>"She's gonna shit talk me" Nope, but you would have lost a war asset which in this game you don't want to. The most assets you get the better it is. They contribute to your Effective Military Strength (EMS) which in turn will be a very big factor for the endgame. >"PTSD Asari soldier" You should pay attention to her story and mark the names she mention. You won't be able to do much about it but much later you'll realize the importance of what you learn here. The full story will require several visits to Huerta Memorial; it's not given in one go and the most important bit, a name, is in the last part of the story. >Dr Michel Added to the fact that she's part of ME1 memories, she's also the one who would replace Dr Chakwas if she got killed in ME2 or simply if you dismiss her as the ship doctor in ME3 (but why would you do that?). >"Would you stand on this?" If it has been designed the right way and without cutting corners for cost reduction, why not? That means you wouldn't be comfortable flying in a glass plane. That doesn't exist... yet... but why not? I always thought the idea could be a fun way to travel :D >"I'm curious about Charisma" It's in fact called "reputation" (even though it's labelled charisma here, by mistake I assume). You'll have a lot of things having to do with reputation in ME3. Speaking to people or completing some tasks will increase your reputation. This is acting as a multiplier for both your paragon and renegade points. Paragon and renegade are still the same but this time it's your reputation level that is the primary factor in determining what dialogue option you'll be able to choose in conversations. >"I guess they won't let me here" The only reason you don't get to access the Spectre office that early in ME3 is if you haven't been reinstated as a Spectre in ME2 (so you'd need to wait for them to reinstate you in ME3). >Black Widow It's exactly the same as the Widow you were so fond of in ME2 (and which is still in ME3) but with 3 shots before having to reload instead of one. And a black finish, let's not forget that :D Awfully heavy though. >"That was on camera too so that is great" What is even less great here is that for one of the rare times you decide to pick a renegade interrupt, you've just lost a war asset that was double the value of Allers (the other journalist you took on board). No biggie, it's just 10 points, but let's hope that won't become a trend XD >"Did they take away all the upgrades" When you'll go to the war room you'll see they are all there, adding to the base asset value of the Normandy. So no, they didn't touch your baby... too much XD >"I can't imagine that all my fish survive" They did, but it's up to you to discover how to get them back :D >"Minimum, I need to get at least there" If you just want to defeat the Reapers, yes. If you want to defeat them with "acceptable" losses, you'll need much more than that. >"... you can be sure we would be guarding our own borders" Oh, yeah. As much as we can hate the councilors for not helping, human history is full of examples of alliances that didn't fully work because this party or that party had other immediate concerns. When push come to shove, any country on Earth will always look after its own garden. >"My hamster's missing" And your ship models too :D Unlike the fish, both hamster and models are on the Normandy. You just have to go find them. >"It's nice to have a store" The thing you were looking at was not a store. Those are guns that you already possess and you can upgrade them here for money. Upgrading a gun means more damage, more shots, more accuracy, less weight... It can get pretty expensive so it's worth thinking about what guns you want/need to upgrade. >Jack's old hidey hole You didn't hear the "pip" from your hamster there? What kind of pet owner are you? XD >"Where is EDI?" Now that's a deep mystery. Can it be solved? :D >Top power The one that gives +40% health and shields is for James only. The one that gives +20% is for the whole squad (when James is in it). So you have a choice between making James much tougher or benefiting the whole squad instead but without the strong bonus to James. You'll see the same thing for most companions. Either a strong bonus for the companion or a lesser one for the whole squad. >Medkits Unlike ME2, taking medkits when you're full in ME3 doesn't grant you anything. You just waste the medkit. it's a new incentive to not bother picking them up if you don't need them. >Ammo power Each time you modify or change your weapons at a bench or before a mission, the ammo power is reset so you have to put it on again. >"I need more medkits" You can buy medkits upgrades from the kiosk at Huerta memorial (and on the Normandy but with a markup). There are none in the field so it's your only option. >"Did he duck?" The most mobile enemies tend to dodge in ME3, yep. That's annoying :D Don't forget that "tactital cloak" is a power so anything you can do to augment powers in general (duration, damage, recharge speed...) will benefit it as well. >"What did I picked up?" You picked up a heavy weapon. Unlike ME2 you don't have a heavy weapon permanently attached to you but you can find some (rarely enough) in the field. The reason for that is that the one you picked up, for example, the Blackstar, can down a Brute in one shot. Heavy weapons are single use and diposable. Once you fired the shot, it becomes useless. >"In his defense he didn't loose a man" That was kinda the point. Good commanders will try to do the mission while minimizing their losses (knowing that you rarely can completely avoid them). Bad commanders just throw people at a problem, no matter the cost; sometimes they may get results but they also get a lot of their own guys killed. I'm not saying that sacrifices are not necessary, sometimes, like Hackett sacrificing the 2nd fleet, but when one can avoid them one should. >"That's Garrus. No that's Victus! I'm so racist." Seriously? I don't think it's racist, but you might be switching genders. You slept with the guy and you can't remember how he looks? Isn't that usually a man thing? XD >EDI: "One moment, I'm running trials. Complete." You wish medical staff was as fast telling you what is wrong or not wrong with you :D That's what I call a great start for 2023. And there are moments of levity in this game, just less than in the others. The Shore Leave DLC (I keep thinking of it as a DLC) is a great way to have real fun (the thing reminds me of Bioware when they were at their best). But then, it's now full scale galactic war and ME3 is gloomy overall and it's making a failry good job of reminding players that war is war (something that not enough games are doing in my opinion, most of them trivializing it)... people are dying and it's not fun. Shepard starts to show cracks in the armor (what with the nightmares and the mood switches that are sure signs of PTSD). And there is a long way to go yet. Still, I can guarantee you there will be fun moments and savour them when they come because as they say in that kind of situation... "tomorrow we might all be dead". And remember Garrus' words of wisdom from ME2: "I prefer to expect the worst. That way there's a chance I'll be pleasantly surprised." Now to the reaction of Joker seeing EDI... that will be fun XD Oh, and before leaving the infirmary talk to Chakwas, she'll have something to say about that ;D Because yeah, we all know Joker.
Yep, very important to go back to where Jack was and find your space hamster. He doesn't give you any war assets, but he gives you adorable squeaks and love which is almost as good.
Since you lost Ashley in ME1, I feel compelled to go to bat for her on this: She said in the first game that when the chips were down the council would use us like a pet dog against a bear to protect themselves. Which they do in the council meeting. Ash gets a bad rap.
@@LieraPlays I look forward to seeing that. Best renegade romance is definitely Jack, or Miranda... Or ya'know you could always see liara's romance through and not a scaly alien 😈
ZeEvilOne Well that's for everyone to decide. Personally I HATE Renegade playthroughs and have only done 1 in 36 playthroughs of the trilogy. That doesn't mean I never use Renegade interrupts, but in general I simply don't like pissing everyone off for no reason.
The difference between the last shield perk 1 buffs his stats by 40 % and melee damage, the other buffs stats by 20% for you and the 2 other squad mates. James is an excellent tank when well-skilled and geared and the 40% buff would then be ideal, if you want to play a tank character later, pick the squad buff, since it will buff you as well. Also, visiting the medbay in the Normandy allows you to reset your skills (for free the first time). Another thing, character’s different outfits can have stat boosts (Kaidan and James get +damage or +shields)
ME3 had more than one point of stupidity. like having the 'shooting gallery' portion of the 'game disc' count toward resources gained. or however that worked. hopefully, in the legendary edition, you'll be able to manage a full finish without running about on 'maps'.
Liara told from the very beginning, bonding with an Asari is a huge thing, Asari dont tend to bond easily and most bonds with only 1 partner in their 1000 years life span. So, I kinda dont like it when someone bonded with Liara in ME1 and moved on in 2nd or 3rd, thats like taking a woman virginity, slept with her for a year and then told her to f**k off because your love is in dogs lifespan.
You should go back to lower engineering deck, after a while of hanging around where Jack used to be you will hear a familliar squeak and you will have an opportunity to cath your hamster back
Well, you were focused on looking for hidden ship models. Concentration does funny things to the mind. If you haven't seen it already, search youtube for "selective attention test" (about people passing basketballs). Fascinating stuff.
Shepard: "Palaven... We have an old friend there."
Joker: "Don't you mean bo-"
Shepard: "Trying to not make it awkward..."
Joker: "Why?"
Liara: * eye twitches *
Haha yeah....
If you(council) find yourself being chased by a bear(reapers), you'll sick your dog(humanity) on the bear to escape. Ashley was right afterall.
Doggy in the squad : +5000 war points lol
I support this message.
I second constantly going back to the citadel. So many more assets, world building, etc to help make life easier down the road.
I see! Thanks for the tips!
I think reset them only completing mission (story mission?).
Leaving the system and returning resets them to the system’s edge, but they renter the system immediately. Completing a mission (any mission, I believe) resets their surveillance level to zero, meaning they don’t renter the system until they pick you up doing more scans.
oh boy, u are famous if ruzzian scammers came here
Alex in Tokyo and Lordas Sniegas are correct, reapers reset if you complete a mission that requires you to go out of the ship.
I had a question..."
Hannah Shepard: "What is it?"
Shepard: "Is Admiral Hackett my real father??"
Hannah Shepard: "I-should-go."
*hangs up
Haha, that's a nice joke 😂
Fun fact, if you got the space hamster, you sometimes see it running around random parts of the ship.
And if you’re quick you can catch it.
Yeah it squeaks when you're near it on the ship.
Its running around under engineering where jack loved the hide plus if Kelly survived she will have your fish and you can buy an auto feeder for them
When Adams talks about safety, if you don't upgrade the Normandy's barriers before the suicide mission in Mass Effect 2, one of your crew members does, in fact, end up vaporized.
In ME2, Chokwas can die, Dr. Michel is an alternative doctor for the Normandy.
PS Just saying it's important to do every side mission you can do in this game to get every war asset you can get.
A moon covered in Turian soldiers.
The temptations...
XD
BATTLE TIP! ironically, when someone is ABOUT to throw a grenade, standing up means the grenade will hit you, and bounce off you, as long as the grenade isnt on top of the cover, or on your side of the cover, it wont hurt you. and dodging sideways is very useful for enemies like the brute, In this particular game, being close to any "BIG" enemy, can result in an animation that kills you in one shot.
Holy cannoli. Good to know haha, thanks!
@@LieraPlays Anytime! luv your videos! im new to the channel, your ME series attracted me, just finish the 2nd game's playthrough, you did awesome!
The difference between James' fortification choices is that one makes James, and only James, 40% more tanky and the other makes everyone in the squad 20% more tanky.
Some tactical tips (but no spoilers)
1) priority missions progress the story line (they aren’t time sensitive)
2) each outfit for your squad mates have different bonuses applied (example: one increases shields while a different outfit would increase damage)
oh damn! i thought they were cosmetic like ME2. Will have to look closer!
I was so excited haha
> Aaand there goes the first War Asset
yeah... she got me there. bummer.
This is from its fandom site:
"Legendary Edition: Galactic Readiness does not exist in Legendary Edition as the multiplayer component has been removed.
@@LieraPlays I get it, but in a way it's hard for me to blame her, "asking hard questions" is often what makes journalists great at their job.
The top option on the last part of fortification gives a 20% boost to him and all of your squad mates. The bottom option is just for himself.
Perfect! Thanks for clarifying! :)
Thank you for the video,,looking for more 😊
And happy new year 2023🥂
Happy new year!
The difference between your grenades and James' grenades is that his never miss so they are very effective for him to use.
I was very curious about that. Thank you for clarifying! And apparently I am also incredibly awful at aiming grenades :)
@@kylekjelland6261 Sir Yes Sir!
Uff.. you ditched Liara.. that was cold......I understand why you dont wanna make 4 hours long episodes.. but my God.. i for one, cannot get enough of this game
> that was cold
Felt awful!
Shepard: * asks Garrus about Victus *
Liara: * explains Victus *
Shepard: * embodiment of a "Did I ask you?" glare *
Haha, it didn't seem That bad :D I was grateful at least haha
Dont know if others in the comment might already told you. But I strongly recommend "Priority: Eden Prime" to do ASAP.
Normally if you apply some common sense to most missions (like not ignoring missions that actually do sound like being timed).
You are usually fine but Eden Prime is the "From-Ashes"-DLC and actually if you do not do it early on you are missing out of a lot potential content so just
that you know. Its also a very good DLC in particular. ME3 DLCs are all (even if maybe a bit controversial) unlike ME2s good or even absolutely great. To experience
this game with them from the get go for the first time and the extended directors cut ending is such a privilege. ME3 was not that much liked when it released you know.
Unlike ME2 (where only biotic combos existed and all of them had to involve the Warp) ME3 is full of biotic and tech combos. Meaning
you can cause Biotic or Tech explosions (which are very much worth) it. They usally happen if you prime your target with a primer ability
and detonate them later with...well... a "detonater ability". Kept it really superficial here in case you want to figure out yourself what does what.
Kind of a meta gamer/min maxer who spent thousands of hours in the ME3 Multiplayer back in the day...must resist backseat gaming...
You could have chosen also Dr.Michel as your ships Doctor instead of Dr.Chakwas
I mean yes I do not like her new hair model but and I have nothing about Michel. But not allowing Chakwas to be on a warship would be cruel.
Though I really dislike that they changed the color of her hair now it looks like she has dyed her hair white.
Well at least its not as offensive as from ME2 -> to ME2 LE where Kelly was made from a redhead to a brunette.
15:00
Okay thats just...oh boi.
And he is the very same guy that spawned an entire meme arround him that was arround the internet for many years by stating this quote by giving Shepard literal qoatation marks
with is alien fingers "Ah yes, Reapers. The immortal race of sentient starships allegedly waiting in dark space. We have dismissed that claim."
Also:
Salarians name is Valern
Asaris name is Tevos.
When people and Shepard talk about people She/he lost under his/her command he usually gets forgotten about
in ME.
Its mind boggling that people throw arround all does casualty numbers and seeing continents burn but yet we have to keep in mind that the Reapers do not even fight to kill but
to harvest (yes its still killing xd) which means all this godly power is them actually fighting with with one hand tied behind their backs and being quite reluctant using weapons of mass destruction.
War of the Worlds? I prever the really old version of that movie.
2:17:29 ... Turians are based on Birds and Cats...this is one example that shows us this...*cough*
You mistook your literal boyfriend for another Turian.
I mean everybody likes EDI but wow that it was necessary to save the ship
to take over that body...convienient. Maybe she did not alert us on what she was about to do because we could have said "no" to it?
*sighs* AIs...
Great game so far, love the vids. and ya your space mouse(hamster) lol is alive and running around the ship.
Of course you had to punch the reporter. Nearly every player I've watched always punches the reporter 😂
Haha
I never punch the reporter
Mechanic tip: you can double click to select an upgrade in the powers screen, instead of clicking on “Upgrade Power”, if you prefer.
That would be way easier :)
You get your fish back from a friendly face. There are new fish to add to your collection too.
Bailey can just say: "Following orders"
BioWare does some good character writing.
I was wondering if that was it when I realized my disruptor wasn't on anymore. Thanks!
Note Garrus' bandages are off, and his scars have dulled.
And the collar of his jumpsuit from the ME2 romance scene is sticking out around his neck.
These little details are so precious.
Ah, Diana Allers. The reporter players love to hate even more than the one you have the bad history of punching. Lol
Edit: if you are interested, look up online the story behind how that reporter character ended up in the game
Huh! Thanks for that, I definitely am interested.
Haha, "god damn squids" is exactly how I feel about the reapers!
2023 Hype 🙂🙃
Great episode Liera! My boi Garrus is back and ready to kick some more booo-tay! That's Turian for Butt😉
The scanning part is a bit confusing to me... but I think I just need to try and experiment. Thank you for the tips!
Aye Liera, i want to give you a wise Sniper Rifle-Lesson Thanos gave to us all: "You should have gone for the Head..."
^_^ I spent a lot of time at the shooting gallery. I'm a huge fan of tweaking, lol.
"I'm so racist"... And I'm so dead, thank you lol
XD
Bailey and Udina both have news about the citadel, earth, the alliances situation with being basically decapitated and earth under seige, etc.
Modders hack the cutscene cameras, and it was found that there was a lot more going on during that close-up of Shepard and Garrus' handshake.
Oh wow! I'll look for that!
Typhoon 4ever!
1:23:00 I hope Garrus is somewhere out there alive and appreciates this commitment one day.
Pained me to do it, so he better!
@@LieraPlays don't worry, Garrus is amazing
Best romance in my opinion.

I think so, yes.
Happy Eighth Day of Christmas! And New Year too, I guess.
Also, in the Spectre office, there's a shooting range. I STRONGLY recommend making use of it. There are weapons in this game with...unusual properties so the range lets you get used to them before you try to take them into the field.
Unusual properties huh? Hmmm. Thanks for the tip!
@@LieraPlays Yeah, I recall one that had its shots bounce off the walls several times (never got the hang of that one).
Nice way to bring in the New Year :)
Spam the trigger on that Viper! It shoots way faster than you are using it.
Also RADAR RADAR RADAR!
I signed up to your membership, I really enjoy your playthrough and wanted to support you.
Thank you! I really appreciate it! :)
You can talk more with Udina and Bailey. And you can usually talk to the squaddies more too, until they start repeating lines. Their dialogue isn't always cinematic in 3.
Good to know!
Not gonna lie, it would have been great to have another war asset, but it was still satisfying
oh mass effect...how i have missed you...i wish i could rewind and do my first ever playthrough...as it is im on playthrough 16...yea...i know.....thats why i like to watch your channel, great stuff young lady....hope you have lots of fun!...and I subscribed :)
Thank you! I appreciate the tips :)
Head to Eden Prime...
you're supposed to check all over the cluster you're in, the scanner only scans so far. you'll only know if you found something when EDI mentions it. but you have to be close
That's what I was thinking after giving it a go! I think I'll start with other clusters that don't have relays in them to make sure I can quickly flee if something happens.
@@LieraPlays you can in that cluster, but be careful of fuel. unlike the second game you cannot upgrade the fuel cells (or whatever it was called)
you may have already written it, but your hamster is running in the lower hold. the collection of ships is scattered throughout Normandy
Your aim looks to be outstanding, so you'd probably make great use of the Black Widow.
you also have shops you can buy new stuff for the normandy, weapons, mods and armor. one is in the hospital.
I agree! She might have speed on him, but once he lands a hit, she should be quite hurt.
Edi is super good, just level up her overload and incinerate. She's one of my favorite squad mates!
I can't wait to try her out in a mission!
I will, eventually, but probably not right away!
For a lot of the background conversations, there's a lot of little side info that has been released over the years via interviews, tweets, and whatnot from writers and some Bioware developers. The connection between the PTSD Asari and one of your crewmates is particularly heartbreaking.
that one is clear from the game itself.
Happy new year! And thank you for the advice. Looking back, I regret the reporter decision. But goddamn was she infuriating.
It's also one of the few missions without that Liara dialogue issue.
scan scan scan away even if the reapers show up you can outrun them
It's a priority that you concentrate on side missions and quest
Garrus❤ also, may I suggest doing eden prime next? You won’t regret it!🎉🎉
1:24:06 You chose Garrus over Liara?! Well, you did also choose a sniper rifle over biotics so I guess it makes sense.
I can't describe how painful it was and how awful her response made me feel.

It's up to us to inform ourselves and elect the good ones
I'd rather have elected representatives make the decisions than the military or other strong (but unelected) leaders.
EDI: "I am woman now."
you wondered where edi was there's your answer lol.
i'm sure you know by now but you still have a surprise left in enginering.
In the expanded powers tree, you can simply double click on a power to activate it (instead of selecting it and then clicking on power upgrade).
Handy!
The way she reads may indicate she needs to use glasses or contact lenses. When someone has bad sight, the reading is very characteristic.
I am way too obsessive to not be bothered by that kind of stuff, I am thinking all the time "put some glasses on, gal" XD
>"She's gonna shit talk me"
Nope, but you would have lost a war asset which in this game you don't want to. The most assets you get the better it is. They contribute to your Effective Military Strength (EMS) which in turn will be a very big factor for the endgame.
>"PTSD Asari soldier"
You should pay attention to her story and mark the names she mention. You won't be able to do much about it but much later you'll realize the importance of what you learn here. The full story will require several visits to Huerta Memorial; it's not given in one go and the most important bit, a name, is in the last part of the story.
>Dr Michel
Added to the fact that she's part of ME1 memories, she's also the one who would replace Dr Chakwas if she got killed in ME2 or simply if you dismiss her as the ship doctor in ME3 (but why would you do that?).
>"Would you stand on this?"
If it has been designed the right way and without cutting corners for cost reduction, why not? That means you wouldn't be comfortable flying in a glass plane. That doesn't exist... yet... but why not? I always thought the idea could be a fun way to travel :D
>"I'm curious about Charisma"
It's in fact called "reputation" (even though it's labelled charisma here, by mistake I assume).
>"I guess they won't let me here"
The only reason you don't get to access the Spectre office that early in ME3 is if you haven't been reinstated as a Spectre in ME2 (so you'd need to wait for them to reinstate you in ME3).
>Black Widow
It's exactly the same as the Widow you were so fond of in ME2 (and which is still in ME3) but with 3 shots before having to reload instead of one. And a black finish, let's not forget that :D Awfully heavy though.
>"That was on camera too so that is great"
What is even less great here is that for one of the rare times you decide to pick a renegade interrupt, you've just lost a war asset that was double the value of Allers (the other journalist you took on board). No biggie, it's just 10 points, but let's hope that won't become a trend XD
>"Did they take away all the upgrades"
When you'll go to the war room you'll see they are all there, adding to the base asset value of the Normandy. So no, they didn't touch your baby... too much XD
>"I can't imagine that all my fish survive"
They did, but it's up to you to discover how to get them back :D
>"Minimum, I need to get at least there"
If you just want to defeat the Reapers, yes. If you want to defeat them with "acceptable" losses, you'll need much more than that.
>"... you can be sure we would be guarding our own borders"
Oh, yeah. As much as we can hate the councilors for not helping, human history is full of examples of alliances that didn't fully work because this party or that party had other immediate concerns. When push come to shove, any country on Earth will always look after its own garden.
>"My hamster's missing"
And your ship models too :D Unlike the fish, both hamster and models are on the Normandy. You just have to go find them.
>"It's nice to have a store"
The thing you were looking at was not a store. Those are guns that you already possess and you can upgrade them here for money. Upgrading a gun means more damage, more shots, more accuracy, less weight... It can get pretty expensive so it's worth thinking about what guns you want/need to upgrade.
>Jack's old hidey hole
You didn't hear the "pip" from your hamster there? What kind of pet owner are you? XD
>"Where is EDI?"
Now that's a deep mystery. Can it be solved? :D
>Top power
The one that gives +40% health and shields is for James only. The one that gives +20% is for the whole squad (when James is in it). So you have a choice between making James much tougher or benefiting the whole squad instead but without the strong bonus to James. You'll see the same thing for most companions. Either a strong bonus for the companion or a lesser one for the whole squad.
>Medkits
Unlike ME2, taking medkits when you're full in ME3 doesn't grant you anything. You just waste the medkit. it's a new incentive to not bother picking them up if you don't need them.
>Ammo power
Each time you modify or change your weapons at a bench or before a mission, the ammo power is reset so you have to put it on again.
>"I need more medkits"
You can buy medkits upgrades from the kiosk at Huerta memorial (and on the Normandy but with a markup). There are none in the field so it's your only option.
>"Did he duck?"
The most mobile enemies tend to dodge in ME3, yep. That's annoying :D
Don't forget that "tactital cloak" is a power so anything you can do to augment powers in general (duration, damage, recharge speed...) will benefit it as well.
>"What did I picked up?"
You picked up a heavy weapon.
>"In his defense he didn't loose a man"
That was kinda the point.
I'm so racist."
Seriously? I don't think it's racist, but you might be switching genders. You slept with the guy and you can't remember how he looks? Isn't that usually a man thing? XD
>EDI: "One moment, I'm running trials. Complete."
You wish medical staff was as fast telling you what is wrong or not wrong with you :D
That's what I call a great start for 2023.
That way there's a chance I'll be pleasantly surprised."
Now to the reaction of Joker seeing EDI... that will be fun XD Oh, and before leaving the infirmary talk to Chakwas, she'll have something to say about that ;D Because yeah, we all know Joker.
Yep, very important to go back to where Jack was and find your space hamster. He doesn't give you any war assets, but he gives you adorable squeaks and love which is almost as good.
Thanks!
I'm almost caught up but how dare you break up with Liara she's the most invested romantic interest throughout the trilogy
I was very sad after doing it.
Since you lost Ashley in ME1, I feel compelled to go to bat for her on this: She said in the first game that when the chips were down the council would use us like a pet dog against a bear to protect themselves. Which they do in the council meeting.
Ash gets a bad rap.
The memorial wall in my playthrough is a lot more full than yours...
Being a renegade is so much more fun.
I bet it is! It'd be interesting to compare when I get to my own renegade shenanigans...
@@HH-hd7nd Being not human in ME1 IS A REASON.
jk.
You should go back to lower engineering deck, after a while of hanging around where Jack used to be you will hear a familliar squeak and you will have an opportunity to cath your hamster back
Interesting, because you romanced Garrus after the Shadow Broker DLC she did not mention the fact that you were with Garrus when you said no too her.
I was wondering if she'd mention anything about that...
@@LieraPlays Indeed, had you initiated Garrus’s romance before the SB DLC she would mention it then, and again when you talked too her in 3.
1:08:23 Did you hear the peep?
I did not at all in the moment, but it's so clear right now, that I don't know what was wrong with my ears XD
Well, you were focused on looking for hidden ship models. Concentration does funny things to the mind.
If you haven't seen it already, search youtube for "selective attention test" (about people passing basketballs). Fascinating stuff.
Sometimes I could swear you’re about to hit the renegade option sometimes and you never do lol

Why can we not just threeway?
No Liara?! Ugh!
