I recommend practical nursing vocational school, then a bridge program over to a state community college for an ASN degree. Later at the same state community college school an ASN to BSN degree. It’s the cheapest way to go. Also, apply for scholarships. I received 3 scholarships. 1 was for volunteering at a small hospital as a candy striper. They sometimes have a women’s auxiliary group that offers a scholarship. The college has a long list of scholarships usually. Biggest challenge is working with a baby. With no nursing experience, job offers were for night shift usually, & it was impossible for me to find night childcare. At least nursing pays more now.

Yeah but not everyone can get into a cheaper school. Sometimes they have a long wait list. I had loads of debt from a private nursing school and I also had an inheritance to pay for it. Private was my only option I didn’t use my inheritance to pay for it I worked and budgeted. I paid close to what you had in one year while my inheritance made $. 🤷🏼♀️ everyone’s situations is different.

How did you apply to volunteer?
@@TheSUPERHAPPY1 I think I saw the event on Facebook.. read comments, might’ve seen something mentioned there, looked on his website, looked on the school/church’s website. I remember something took me to a volunteers website, & I signed up. They fixed a feast for him, & he had the volunteers get access to it also. Looked untouched, excellent fun. Easy work helping people get seated, got to listen for free. They took pictures with us. I recommend it. I also found a volunteer website for a free Disney ticket when they have 5K, 10K, & marathons. That one is more tiring, extremely early, but totally worth it also.
