I know this is an old post however I originally reviewed the plastic Imperial Roman Legion figures for Wargames Illustrated many moons ago, even then I thought they were very small. I believe at the time I was informed they were meant to fit in with the Foundry range sculpted by the Perrys. Warlords various ranges contain much scale differences, worse though is their practice of selling Italeri 1/72nd scenario kits as 28mm and some resin vehicles they obtained from other manufacturers which were sculpted at 1/64 as 1/56.
I've never had a decent set of figures from Warlord Games Andy, the only decent sets seem to be WW2 figures. All the best.Randolph.
The only other figures that scale with Warlord's Legionaries are 1st corps, all the other main companies are either bulkier or taller than these figures. Victrix are head and shoulders above warlord! The plastic Auxiliaries however can match in with other ranges.
Wow, really glad I stumbled upon this video before buying
I'm building a Victrix Roman Army, can't go wrong, figures are stunning 👍👍
@@randolphmagee I agree, they look good, but I prefer the Warlord scale
Useful information and thanks for sharing. 👍
Your welcome 😃👍
Wish I had seen this sooner! So disappointed after building and basing several boxes worth only to notice the scale difference too late.
Hello Rob.I felt just the same.I put all the Warlord Romans on eBay and bought Victrix, Victrix are more expensive Rob,but I'm a great believer that you get what you pay for, Victrix Romans are excellent 👍
Great video, very good information about the scale of the romans from Warlord Games. Thank you.
108 Vikings, that is what I call a raiding party.👍
Thank You,Yes a very large raiding party,Hide your women lol 😀👍
Very cool update mate
Nice 1 bud 😀👍
Whatever the excuse from Warlord Games is, it doesn't matter. Quality control should have rejected the sculps as being out of scale with the rest of their range. It's just another example of Warlords rush to cash in on a new figure set and to hell with the buyer. They're going to learn this with their new Spanish and Prussian Resin figures as the majority of gamers think they are crap.
Absolutely Michael 👍
Good update mate. I think the Victrix will be a much better match scale wise
Nice 1,I agree 😀👍
I have the Victrix Aux and they are bigger than the Warlord metals. That plastic aux is chunkier than the Victrix tho.
@@TheEccentricManI totally agree with you 😀👍
The victrix Romans have thinner arms by looks of your auxiliaries (got some victrix legionaries and stumbled across your page while looking for size comparisons )
Your right about the arms being thinner James 👍👍
Randolph Magee have you got the victrix models? Anything else of note ? I think I'll probably go for victrix auxillary jus to be safe anyway :)
@@littlejimmy5020 yes I have all the early Imperial Roman sets,The Auxiliary's are excellent, I'm not too keen on the legionnaires attacking set 👍👍
Randolph Magee ah I went for marching :) quite happy with them
Yes they are good, wise choice 👍👍
Their is no excuse for a wargame miniture company to sell different scale minitures as all 28mm. Thats very scammy behaviour. Its a shame I like warlord but I dont really trust them anymore. I cant risk spending on armys that dont scale. So im also going towards victrix good models properly scaled.
