My GOD. When I was a child we had a satellite dish. I saw this by chance one day. For years I’ve had a distant memory of a guy destroying Herbie, finding out from the animal owner it was the wrong one, and him fleeing in the real Herbie. For years I convinced myself that it was something I dreamed and remembered as real. Damnit, I DID see it. And it’s still as stomach churning as it was as a child. That beautiful bug destroyed. The premise of the story was to show how whenever Herbie does a stunt in one of his movies the dent or crack or if he break anything would miraculously heal and be fixed in the next scene. Sadly he destroys the wrong car as this Herbie was the Werewolf's car and not real. Then the chase ensues to beat up the caped stupor for destroying wolfs Herbie.

They did the same thing almost exactly in the US World of Disney show back in 79 or 80. No wolf or chase but the idiot destroyed the wrong car. Pissed me off back then as a kid.
how come in the video, Herbie has the fake gas tank but not fog light on his hood, plus the sunroof is not dark grey, and his stripes are missing on Herbie's sunroof? And it uses Herbie's look from HGB.
