When I went to Iceland I basically did the exact same things as you are doing. It's incredible. I can't wait until you go to the blue lagoon. It's so cold when you walk out from the changing rooms but when you get in the water/liquid it's so hot and warm
Reykjavik is so ecologically advanced it's powered by geothermal technology. Come on America.......... The kindness of the farmers inviting two crazy Americans to their dinner party was heart warming ;) And seeing the birth place of glaciers is a blessed treat. Cody, if you had a hand shovel who knows what small treasures you may find just beneath the waters edge (where it's safe to go!) See you Cody and Blake.
Great video! For anyone who hasn't visited yet, I have to say that I have never seen *any* video or photograph that *completely* does justice to the beauty and wildness (except maybe for the drone shots of the waterfalls). In person, it's even *more* beautiful than apparently can be caught in images. If you take an organized tour, you may be surprised (as I was) that the guides often talk even more about the history and politics than about the beauty and geography. One of the best parts about their history is that after the financial crisis of 2008 they were the only country to put all the bankers in jail! As for the friendly people (which is definitely true), Iceland is sort of the "small town" of countries ... which is really nice.
I was there in May 2017, and the weather was spectacular. Clear blue skies for most of the country. I went there again in early June 2019, and again great weather. I guess I must have lucked out.
Thanks Cody. It's a wonderful experience to live thru your eyes while your traveling the world. Places I'll never see, but thanks to you I will!!!! Stay safe please!😀
Thank you for always inspiring with your videos :) You've certainly motivated me to create better vlogs! Excited to see how your life progresses in 3 years time!
Cool video Cody, glad you had fun. It's actually my brother and his wife you should thank for the party and the soup, all I do is provide the music - hahahaha. Have fun during your trip.
In my country we DO NOT WALK ON THE MOSS !!!! We do not stop at the side of the road where the white line is unbroken - we drive with our headlights on always and we show nature the respect she is entitled to. (On a side note: the canyon you walked through at Þingvellir National Park is a result of the continental drift but it is in fact NOT the division line between the NorthAmerican plate and the EurAsian plate and the sulfur smell is NOT sulfuric acid but sulfur hydroxide which is non toxic in small doses) - Get your basic facts straight and your excellent and entertaining videos will be worth so much more as time goes by.
Do t his insidethevolcano.com/ kinda spendy though at $360. ---------------- That waterfall is where Prometheus was shot. i.imgur.com/5vcwv6l.jpg guidetoiceland.is/image/230750/x/0/movie-locations-in-iceland-16.jpg
Wow love it! Came from christian and enjoy your vlogs so far :) Awesome content and I've never saw Iceland like u captured it! Actually makes me wanna go there although im more of the tropical guy :)
I couldn't resist watching it before my husband the views were amazing it's so different in summer but still as beautiful.. Did you go down the gouge? Can't spell but it's where the wall is on 'the games of thrones wall' I want to go back to Iceland now. I went in Jan I would have waited if I knew you were going in sept 😂
The land of Fire and Ice. Your footage is beautiful Cody. Those sheep had some sort of painful sounding bleats...lol..I though My God, they sound like they are dying for goodness sake! lol
@11:09 That waterfall is called Gullfoss (Golden waterfall) and if you go down it you will never be seen again. Just few months ago a foreign person fell into it and he was never found again after long search for him. So basically it would be the last thing you will do(going down that waterfall)
There's one place on the trail where you can look down into the abyss -- but you can't see anything because of the heavy mist rising from it. It's pretty scary.
amazing fun time! I've heard of the Continental divide,of course, but I actually didn't know that it was an accessible place that people could go and touch! lol! thanks for taking us to Iceland, and I look forward to all the adventure of this trip. although, I must admit that I can only watch with one eye every time you dangle your feet off those high cliffs!😉
I love all your Iceland videos, wish there would be more! It seems like for me, this kind of exploring and vlogging fits you the most! But sad to see most of your subscribers are not interested in these videos :( I really want to go to Iceland after seeing your videos :)
Hey, Cody. Are you going to go to Snaefellsjokull? It's the Icelandic volcano featured in Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth and at least two film versions of the story. Just asking! :)
Hey, does anyone knows what's the name of the place where you can walk between concinents?:) I am going to Iceland in May so if you could recomend me some things I would be super glad.
Thingvellir National Park. (Sorry I'm four years too late to let you know. Hope you found it. But this is for anyone reading it now.) While I was there a US friend texted me "When will you be home [San Francisco]? I'm currently on the East Coast [New York]." I texted back "You're not on the East Coast -- I am!"
you talked about storage. Have you thought of combining all your short videos and making one or two long movies out of them , with the drone footage of say nature and music between each separate video. That would be cool.
someday i want to visit iceland.. need to work hard .. cause for only 1 people at least needed 25million rupiah (my currency) thanks for the info cody.. that we can get wifi device in gas station.. for internet connection :3
That hidden mini waterfall at 4:36. Beautiful. Wow, you got invited to a party by some local farmers. So cool. Very nice people.
