I did something like that the other day at one of my locals.... TCBOO and GOZEN MATCH with a Lava Golem... basically just wait 6 turns until he surrendered xD

the evenly matched seems like a poor choice
Yeah sometimes it bricks me, but my deck is a devoted going second deck, so I use cards like Evenly Matched to break boards.
That was a close clutch, why not just use Jowgen or fossil dyna?
I prefer barrier statue cause I can special summon Hugin to protect from card destruction
Horrendous first duel, the solemn judgement and the dark bribe where enough to stop the opponent s turn
My bad, I underestimated the opponent 😬. I didn’t think they could OTK me cause I thought they could only special summon on their Main Phase 2, which I will use Evenly Matched next turn.
