In Colossians 2:11,12 the circumsision " made without hands" occurs during water baptism. This is what remission of sins accomplishes( Acts 2:38). During water baptism, because of the shed blood of Christ, the Holy Spirit circumcises our conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring it to its original childlike innocence from the consequences of wilful sin. This is the " washing of regeneration" in Titus 3:5. The word regeneration defined means to return something to its original state. The original state of our conscience is that of a child, innocent of the consequences of wilful sin. The writer of Hebrews stated that the blood of bulls couldn't deal with " consciousness of sins"( Heb.10:2) Consciousness of sins is guilt. The blood of bulls could only cover it temorarily with the result that the Spirit of God would only dwell temporarily in the temple. With the removal of that guilt, because of the blood of Christ, that occurs during water baptism , the guilt can be removed through spiritual circumcision so that the " temple" of the believer can then recieved the Holy Spirit on a permanent basis. This is " the anointing that abideth"( 1John 2:27). Lastly, when the Lord said that unless we become as little children we cannot enter the kingdom,( Matt.18:3) he was speaking of us not becoming childlike in demeaner but as it pertains to our conscience.
Can someone please explain Revelation 13 5, "And he was given a mouth to speak great things and blaspheme God..". What great things could Antichrist speak about God?
Notice it says to speak great things. And blasphemous words. It seems to be saying it speaks things to boast it's own greatness, that in those things spoken it tries to lead those astray who would follow God. Most likely Making them believe lies about God. Hope that helps, God bless
Piper writes “Therefore, Christians communicate a falsehood to unbelievers when we act as if policies and laws that protect life and freedom are more precious than being a certain kind of person. The church is paying dearly, and will continue to pay, for our communicating this falsehood year after year.” Piper? Really? Churches aren’t supposed to protect life? Didn’t Jesus say He came so we could have LIFE more abundantly? That is one price I am more than willing to pay. If your "church" is unwilling to do that it isn't worth a bucket of warm snot. You are evil. At the moment when you had an opportunity to stand for righteousness, for maxim effect, you folded. There is no greater indictment.
