@@teadott Just because a law exist doesn't mean that law makes sense.
Park is a walking zone respect that
20 is obviously and clearly too slow. She can be stopped in 5 meters at 35kph, so clearly enough time to see an obstruction or potential obstruction.
It is worth looking up "The 85th Percentile". A study based on speed and safety.
no - 35 kms on a biycle in High Park is reckless. 5 meters is hardly a safe distance. There are way too many close calls with pedestrians. Thy really become a menace at that speed. 20 kms is chosen for a reason.
Nail em more!
Wrong.
You're classified as a vehicle which means you're entitled to same rights *AND* responsibilities as a vehicle.
You speed, you get a ticket. Time to take accountability and act like a grown up.
Inbound their bicycles
ok moms on roller blades and strollers go faster than 20/h tho
100% ticket everyone going through a stop sign....tickets for speeding on the other hand....thats dumb as....
The law is objective not subjective.
about time
Cyclist have to follow the rules of the road. Should be handling out more tickets . As for speed . You can get speedometers for bikes
So why can I not run a stop sign in a car or motorcycle but it's fine if it's a bike. If you use the road you follow the road rules
Just don't pay the fines? It's not complicated. I've gotten fines for not wearing a helmet out in Victoria. Never paid it, don't care. Nothing happened. That was well over 10 years ago now.
I wonder if the cops can arrest you for riding your bike without ID. How can they ticket you if you don't have any? 🤔
This is dumb. Cyclists should not be forced to flow laws designed for cars specially in park. A cycle can stop almost immediately and will almost never cause fatal accident. If anything those writing these ridiculous laws should be forced to ride a cycle for 2 kms daily for a month to understand the issues of treating cycles as cars in laws.
The law is the law.
@@teadott Which can be changed . We have a whole branch of government for it.
@@ansh7335 I see no need to make any changes.
@@teadott Well laws change all the time.
@@ansh7335 don't expect traffic laws to change just for you stop signs are a legal requirement not a suggestion if you want to get a ticket for running a stop sign on bicycle that's on you.
everyone failed to stop, not a single person got hurt...
Don’t cry when a cyclist gets hit by a car and killed
That not the point, have you use the air mask on a airplane before, ii guess not.
ridiculous
What a joke .are tax money waisted
Yes, why not let the lawless cyclists terrorize the elderly on the streets and sidewalks, until your granny breaks her hip!! Anarchy is a perfect fit for any capital, and lawless communities are a big thrill for bottomfeeders like you! As long as Canadians are unwilling to stop at stop signs and make law-abiding streets and highways real, we have a badly run nation of dimwits, impersonating weasels. OK? Why not deweasel Canada and post percentages at school stop signs?
Another money grab. Speeding on a bike. Lol. Smh
Not money grab it's for public safety Bicyclist are using the roadway are required by law to follow all the same roads of the road as motor vehicles if you don't want to pay traffic tickets then don't break traffic laws simple.
@AceTheDriver 2 I understand how law works. I understand traffic court. Highlighting it as a "pubic safety concern" is a little much. It's a 1st world problem as they say. Also I always fight my tickets and if you pay early they'll reduce it. Try walking in with a lawyer and without one and see the difference in outcome. Leave some tickets for a long enough time they will disappear unless you have a license to suspend. Cops used to not show up to court which is a dismissal but now they have set dates in their calendar for court specifically. Been through it. Lol
@@SMOOVKILL1 if you don't want to pay traffic tickets don't break traffic laws simple.
Waste of tax payers dollars. Defund the police
If this is a waste then when should this law be enforced.
@@teadott ... riddle me this??.... How do you know what speed you're riding on your bike to determine you're over the speed limit? Failing to stop at a stop sign is inexcusable however the fines as ridiculous. Its obviously a cash grab. Defund the police☝️
this is awesome 👌
Make the tickets expensive$$$
this is absurd.
Its the law.
Lawless Canadians breaking traffic laws with their kids? What's not to love? The complete and total lack of ethics? The total and complete lack of a conscience? The police ticketing lawless, unethical folks with zero conscience? The fact that many of these seen - are civil servants? That many of these breaking traffic laws are riding hot bikes?
Things change.🙍🚲🎫💸💳📲💔
Ticket pedestrians as well. Joggers or anyone who violation the rules.
You sound like a real thrill to be around 😆
@@user-zn9ht6mf6t sorry, to hear you feel that way. Unfortunately, the park isn't designed with a concrete path for joggers, cyclist, those going for a stroll. If there is a road and pavement everyone needs to follow the rules accordingly. If it is being used by everyone as a path you need to take that into account. Make them aware. Road/pavement area in the park are not for exercising, cyclists, and those who are going for a walk. Use the trails if you can't follow the rules.
just cyclists and motorists
@@pasqualinamichelaconsiglio9391 you don’t seem to understand what this video is about.
It is about bicycles.
@@CantHandleThisCanYa no kidding it's just about bicycles. Lol.
But by breaking the laws & the rules they are , by definition, not being safe, & are having no regard & consideration for pedestrians & parents with young children. They should be banned from parks, or parks should have dedicated cycle lanes, with penalties for venturing outside of them in an unsafe manner.
