Oh wow. The line “(on my planet) I don’t leave marks where my feet tread” could also be that feeling of him not making a difference in the planet shaped battleground that was Cybertron. I think that Optimus being here on Earth makes him feel that he has to have more responsibility to his actions since even one misstep can have great consequences. I’m sure that Optimus will recall this moment every time he makes even the slightest mistake, there may even be a pressure building on him to be perfect so as to prevent any more unnecessary loss of life.
I once read a beautiful comment that put it perfectly for Optimus' circumstances: Cybertron was a harsh, jagged, metal environment. It's all he's known. Earth, by contrast, felt like walking on a soft blanket for the first time.
I was shock to hear IDW lost the rights to the transformers series. But when I heard about the guys who worked on invincible was going help out on the comics. I give it a chance. And it did not failed me.
(Technically speaking, it's less they lost the rights, and more they were not renewed, as Hasbro wanted to "reboot" things, and give another publisher a go at it.)

I honestly couldn't get into IDW Transforms, eveytime I picked up an issue the characters weren't what I expected or the oversaturated colors would make the story hard to follow. I read one about Ratchet and the colors practically made my eyes hurt.😂
The scenes /panels evoke what Peter Cullen used from his brother and Larry for Optimus "Be a real hero. Be strong enough to be Gentle". And as such, Peter Cullen will always be Optimus Prime.

The style of this animation really brought mid-90's-2000's vibes, it felt like a really homey-touch. The voice for Spike was unique too. He wasn't an anime-teen with an adult voice. He felt like an actual teen. An actual kid. Gentle as Optimus. But his tone of voice conveyed a real sense of genuine openness to perspective on things. It makes sense since he said he wanted to go and be an astronaut. You gotta be a smart kid for that, and his VA conveyed that nicely. Which could also be a product of proper direction. You also drew him perfectly and also helped convey that sense of innocence. Real Iron Giant vibes here with the methods you used to animate Prime interacting with the environment. Stellar work.

At first, reading the scene, I was a little shocked. But going through I understood that if you live your whole life in a metal planet, it's a bit normal to not know very well your own strength.

It's a very nice tool, but if you want to get the same effect using something less complicated, you can use the blender armatures. Peter Cullen is definitely the voice I imagine when I'm reading the comic! However, newer voices like Gary Chalk or David Kaye or even random fans are just as great.

Optimus stepping on a deer is very unbelievable. Walking through the woods very quietly and then stepping on one? Where if he had taken off running at 50 miles per hour and screaming his head off and then stepped on it then it would be more believable.

Optimus has no idea how common it is for deers to come out of nowhere and get killed by trucks. He'll stop feeling bad about it eventually.
