Yeah a Mitten channel but I’ve tried to hear this more towards the specific niche of Japanese domestic lures, so that’s what you’ll see on here for the most part. Yeah Lansing area does not disappoint for fishing. I’ve caught some fantastic smallies around these rivers. Thank you for subscribing 👍🏾 feel free to ask any questions
@@roandpixels1274 I'm down for JDM in the north country content. I find myself experimenting more and more with JDM baits. I've got some Honey Nuggets coming in to test as a more cost effective alternative to the DEPS DoLive Gills
@@georgef3077 oh the honey nugget is definitely effective. Especially on a free rig in the rivers. I find Weightless texas rig throwing around a pond does fantastic with this bait. Slow spiral fall. Or you could do a 3/0 light swimbait hook to make it fall faster
@@roandpixels1274 Free rigging is the technique I planned to use with them. I found decent success using the DoLive Gills as a surface bait too. Kinda a mix of a toad and a fluke.
@@georgef3077 oh for sure. Makes sense. I think they all have different sink rates too. Maybe the Deps has the faster of the fall rates. Hayabusa WRM958 Wide Gap Screw Lock Weighted. That’s the name of the hook. They come in lighter weights like 1/16oz which I prefer. I just switch out the tornado screw for the owner with center pin. So many new baits to film. Check out my IG which is @ro_and_pixels it’ll show more recent stuff I have picked up
@@roandpixels1274 thanks! I was thinking of ordering some but wasn’t sure what kind of rod I could throw it on. Seems like a MH would work well. Looks like it would be fun to skip under docks.
Looks really good and would be a good compliment to the Bounty Fish. Where did you buy it?
Sounds like it would benefit from a keel weighted hook, but I might have to pick up a pack of those.

A Michigan channel? Subscribed from Lansing.
Do you remember the weight?
The weight of just the bait alone is 15.8g or around 0.5 ounces

@@dontdoxmebro1780 MH would be great
This thing looks too much like Nikko Winnow.
For sure. The ribbing runs less right and deeper on the dead slowler. Both cool baits
