Revival moves add a whole new layer of strategy to competitive, also it took me way too long to realize that the reason Pawmot can revive its allies is because it uses its paws as a defibrillator. I guess Rabsca does it by using the soul inside the -poop- mudball. According to its dex entry, the -poop- mudball contains either its consciousness or its offspring, so its either sacrificing part of its own soul or its unborn child.
Damnit this Gen has too many good Ghost types. I kind of want to put one on my team but I don’t want two Ghost Types and I’m not getting rid of Ceruledge either.
Chilly reception fun fact: it has to do with how Japanese handles puns and other corny jokes. In Japanese, if someone says a corny joke you would say "kono gag wa samui" literally means this joke is cold which means bad/corny joke
But that's similar to the English definition of a "chilly reception", in the sense that it means that something didn't go over well (in this case, it's a bad/corny joke).
@@edgyanole9705 those don't really stand out besides being 120 bp moves on strong pokemon; this generation gets stuff like shed tail (free substitute to protect your switch-in), last respects (300 bp move if your team wipes, as well as being on a pokemon that can outspeed almost everything if there's a sandstorm set up), and tidy up (literally just defog + dragon dance combined)
I think it's better to fight with more stronger pokemon in this showcase to show the secondary effect of every move happen to the target. We can't see those effect since they fainted. Revival blessing is interesting.

kinda sad that revavroom didn't get the team star car moves, but yeah it made sense that only the cars have them. would of been nice tho in my opinion, giving it fighting, fairy, fire and dark coverage.
Maybe it'll come up in the prequel? Or in the future? I would like to see a Fusion possible for Revavroom. Maybe like, a Pokemon being the shell of a car, that could only reach it's true potential when merged with Revavroom. And like Motisma, you coul have engines based on different kind of cars (Monster Truck, Race car, Limousine, 4x4... )
Maybe in the DLC, Revaroom will get the option to get on any of the Starmobiles and it could not only give it any one of those moves depending on the Starmobile, but maybe it'll even give them some kind of BST boost?
It would be cool if you could rematch the team star leaders with them also using the enchanced revarooms and as a reward for beating each of them you would get a specal revaroom that looks like they're starmobile and has they're moveset as well.

I mean I started since 1996 with blue version being the 1st start for me. I transferred all of my pokemon through every gen game I played since day one to black and white and I retired I guess you can say. Watching Ash win motivated me to want to return for one more go. Give Spidops a protect that lowers speed, and in the same breath make it so slow it will rarely ever out speed anything with it. Spidops got done dirty.
I think I came up with a tricky strategy for double battles after seeing Scovillan's Spicy Extract move. Since this move sharply boosts the target's Attack stat at the expense of a -2 Defense drop, why not use it on your allies in double battles ? Say you pair up the move with a Pokémon whose ability is Defiant (hi, Bisharp!), it would have its Attack stat increased six times with the sacrifice of a -2 in Defense as a minor downside after just ONE single turn. It is pretty much worthy, IMO!
I'm pretty sure that Defiant cannot activate when an ally drops its stats(if that were the case, more busted strategies would pop up.) But it's still a good idea!
You can probably do some cheeky combos with Spicy Extract and Clear Amulet since it prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokemon’s moves and abilities

Yeah, couple that with its high speed, and I had to use a couple of revives and cycling around my intimidators (Staraptor, Gyarados & Tauros) to force him to attack my Staraptor with a badly weakened Thunder Punch before I beat him.
Believe me it is stupidly overpowered when you at a team full of last resort Pokemon, the sandstream ability, and a choice scarf, basically you're only afraid of normal
Goomy line is based on how artists from the middle ages drew Knights fighting Snails. Alolan Exeggutor is based on Shape shifter dragons from Hawaiian mythology who mostly look like palm trees. Applin is the Dragonworm inside the apple. Like the Dragonworms that live in Hills. Ampharos was planned to be Dragon type in gen 2 but scrapped it until they made Mega Evolutions. Having all the wooly parts and red orbs are from on chinese dragons. Tatsugiri is based in the Dragonroll sushi and the fish dragon Shachihoko. Charizard is based on the fire salamander.

Sadly, each “torque” move is exclusive to the starmobiles… apparently they did a bit of code editing to get a regular revaroom with only some of the moves at a time(technically having 6 total signature moves and 5 of them are illegal right now).
Chilly Reception is a hilarious move concept--and a weather setting switch out move could be very useful competitively.

I have a Garganacle on my team with a Ghost tera type and it knows curse. Along with having Purifying Salt as its ability, its really busted.

I feel like Gholdengo has some serious competitive potential. It’s immune to status moves, has banger typing, and a really solid signature move.
It also has some swag animations. I mean, seriously, riding around on a skateboard made from gold coins, that's very cash money.

I love a lot of these moves, and I like that there are many signature moves and abilities

Defiant doesn't work against allies attacks. I found out the hard way after already planning something like that to competitive milotic. lol
I tried to think about a strategy with it using confusion. But confusion got nerfed since gen 7 , so I don't think it's worth it that much

Easily countered by espalda, it's ability gives it a boost to the same stat the opponent boosted, it's a psychic type and has a signature move that harshly lowers special defense. I'm just glad meowscarada is getting protean and not sniper with its signature move always hitting and critical hits. Paired with a metronome it'll be gross

Sadly, each “torque” move is exclusive to the starmobiles… apparently they did a bit of code editing to get a regular revaroom with only some of the moves at a time(technically having 6 total signature moves and 5 of them are illegal right now).
