Chilly Reception is a hilarious move concept--and a weather setting switch out move could be very useful competitively.

I love that Kingambit's special attack is a false-surrender just to sell the dark typing.
Looks like it's going to start genuflecting, but it's really just lining up the crest on the head for the perfect slice.
It learned from the grimmsnarl line that actually has a move just called false surrender lol
I wonder why they didn’t just give it False Surrender, and maybe buff it to 85 Base Power because the move is kinda bad.

Salt Cure doing more damage to steel and water types is nice conceptually, low key I think this move is coo;

I get why Water because salt draws away water from the body, but...why Steel?
@@ikarainijirai if i remember, i think salt or more specifically salt solutions hasten the rusting process of a metal thus causing steel pokemon to rust (they dont really go rusty just took more dmg)

I have a Garganacle on my team with a Ghost tera type and it knows curse. Along with having Purifying Salt as its ability, its really busted.

I love how baxcalibur's move looks similar to that flying Godzilla scene in both Godzilla vs Megalon and Godzilla vs Hedorah,it's so fun and I'm excited to get them in my team

He’s strong as hell but has little to no coverage…. Mines level 72 and I need to give him like earthquake or something
I need a dramatic fight between duraludon and baxcalibur. Later on add Garbodor and end the saga with him fighting Hydreigon and immediately after Iron Jugulis

alot of the new moves I really like and they're kind of game changing tbh. btw Tera blast has unique animations for every type.
I feel like Gholdengo has some serious competitive potential. It’s immune to status moves, has banger typing, and a really solid signature move.
It also has some swag animations. I mean, seriously, riding around on a skateboard made from gold coins, that's very cash money.

@@airam1721 Yes but can you obtain a starmobile in SV ? No. What I meant is that's the first time we have exclusive moves for a certain pokémon you can't obtain, and is used in the story mode

Revival moves add a whole new layer of strategy to competitive, also it took me way too long to realize that the reason Pawmot can revive its allies is because it uses its paws as a defibrillator. I guess Rabsca does it by using the soul inside the -poop- mudball. According to its dex entry, the -poop- mudball contains either its consciousness or its offspring, so its either sacrificing part of its own soul or its unborn child.

I love a lot of these moves, and I like that there are many signature moves and abilities
The moves that travel to the enemy pokemon look so much better and natural compared to the moves that just appear on them.
I love how people now use the Penny's battle theme as the background music. It's a great piece of soundtrack!
And how they use the area zero battle theme and the Scarlet and violet gym leader theme

@@edgyanole9705 those don't really stand out besides being 120 bp moves on strong pokemon; this generation gets stuff like shed tail (free substitute to protect your switch-in), last respects (300 bp move if your team wipes, as well as being on a pokemon that can outspeed almost everything if there's a sandstorm set up), and tidy up (literally just defog + dragon dance combined)

probably important to note that the 5 "torque" moves can only be used by the starmobiles , hence why the lack descriptions

Chilly reception fun fact: it has to do with how Japanese handles puns and other corny jokes. In Japanese, if someone says a corny joke you would say "kono gag wa samui" literally means this joke is cold which means bad/corny joke
But that's similar to the English definition of a "chilly reception", in the sense that it means that something didn't go over well (in this case, it's a bad/corny joke).

I think it's better to fight with more stronger pokemon in this showcase to show the secondary effect of every move happen to the target. We can't see those effect since they fainted.

Maushold is such a beast with Population bomb. Like, hits freaking 10 times in a row!?
Maushold will be too OP if its Normal Terastallize and just sweep through any pkmn
kinda sad that revavroom didn't get the team star car moves, but yeah it made sense that only the cars have them. would of been nice tho in my opinion, giving it fighting, fairy, fire and dark coverage.
Maybe it'll come up in the prequel? Or in the future? I would like to see a Fusion possible for Revavroom. Maybe like, a Pokemon being the shell of a car, that could only reach it's true potential when merged with Revavroom. And like Motisma, you coul have engines based on different kind of cars (Monster Truck, Race car, Limousine, 4x4... )
@Jason Adjiwanou or it could hold an item and it type changes, gets a stat buff and signature move spin out turn into one of the torque moves
Maybe in the DLC, Revaroom will get the option to get on any of the Starmobiles and it could not only give it any one of those moves depending on the Starmobile, but maybe it'll even give them some kind of BST boost?
maybe they'll give em out in an event...
It would be cool if you could rematch the team star leaders with them also using the enchanced revarooms and as a reward for beating each of them you would get a specal revaroom that looks like they're starmobile and has they're moveset as well.

Lumina Crash is SO good. Like, really good.
Plus that thing gets SPEED BOOST and stored power, so many of these new Pokémon are just broken in certain situations

I think I came up with a tricky strategy for double battles after seeing Scovillan's Spicy Extract move. Since this move sharply boosts the target's Attack stat at the expense of a -2 Defense drop, why not use it on your allies in double battles ?
Say you pair up the move with a Pokémon whose ability is Defiant (hi, Bisharp!), it would have its Attack stat increased six times with the sacrifice of a -2 in Defense as a minor downside after just ONE single turn. It is pretty much worthy, IMO!
I'm pretty sure that Defiant cannot activate when an ally drops its stats(if that were the case, more busted strategies would pop up.)
But it's still a good idea!

Defiant doesn't work against allies attacks. I found out the hard way after already planning something like that to competitive milotic. lol
I tried to think about a strategy with it using confusion. But confusion got nerfed since gen 7 , so I don't think it's worth it that much
You can probably do some cheeky combos with Spicy Extract and Clear Amulet since it prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokemon’s moves and abilities

Can I be honest I have stopped playing pokemon since white and black, but watching these videos , I kind of would like to make a return and battle as many of you new trianers out there and learn new techniques. Im married and have a kid and I know I missed out on a lot which I think it would make it even more interesting, but I dont know if I have the will to keep training hours on end. I mean I started since 1996 with blue version being the 1st start for me. I transferred all of my pokemon through every gen game I played since day one to black and white and I retired I guess you can say. Watching Ash win motivated me to want to return for one more go. My 6 fave is Arcanine, Sceptile, Infernape, Lucario, Umbreon, Sycther

ngl but Skeledirge’s move Torch Song is my most favorite attack.
Give Spidops a protect that lowers speed, and in the same breath make it so slow it will rarely ever out speed anything with it. Spidops got done dirty.
Quaquaval's & Skeledirge's signature move animations make me think of Surging Strike & Gmax Wildfire respectively. Does anyone else?

Sadly, each “torque” move is exclusive to the starmobiles… apparently they did a bit of code editing to get a regular revaroom with only some of the moves at a time(technically having 6 total signature moves and 5 of them are illegal right now).

Last Respects is way too op, it's basically a last resort move that could one shot any pokemon as long as their not a normal type
Believe me it is stupidly overpowered when you at a team full of last resort Pokemon, the sandstream ability, and a choice scarf, basically you're only afraid of normal

Goomy line is based on how artists from the middle ages drew Knights fighting Snails.
Alolan Exeggutor is based on Shape shifter dragons from Hawaiian mythology who mostly look like palm trees.
Applin is the Dragonworm inside the apple. Like the Dragonworms that live in Hills.
Ampharos was planned to be Dragon type in gen 2 but scrapped it until they made Mega Evolutions. Having all the wooly parts and red orbs are from on chinese dragons.
Tatsugiri is based in the Dragonroll sushi and the fish dragon Shachihoko.
Charizard is based on the fire salamander.

man orthworm's move was op for setups its like baton pass but with a free sub
Orthworm with this move ain't broken.
It has no recovery and is very slow.
But Cyclizar can leaen this move. And it has 121 speed and regenerator as ability.
This thing is broken.
