Look at you go! Finally something easier and faster
Consider taking chimney out…have large open concept kitchen, den, dining….2bedroom 2 bath home…you will never regret it….it will be awesome…❤
We are wanting to remove it since it serves no purpose anymore.
What a load of work, but you’re really making headway! Kudos!
Good to see how much easier the floor came up this time.
I know I've razzed you in other videos but I have to give you kudos on your vids about working alone, especially doing carpentry (renovation even) or hot wire-fencing! It takes a keen and honed in mind to do those tedious tasks with a serious mind, yes, safety above all. My dad always said "A job is not worth doing, unless it's done right the first time!", meaning, you nor anyone else has to fix the flubbers! You're doing great on fixing others flubbers and doing it right the first time 😊.
I appreciate that!
i have to laugh Nate that carpet piece was haunting you lol hugsssss
The new method of taking the floor up looked a lot easier on you Nate
You are getting there 😊
Just FYI, other channels I watch do show clean up but do it speeded up.
The way of the floor removal this time was definitely quicker. Good Job. Nate did you say one of your neighbors was in construction? Maybe he could take a look and give you some idea of what you need to do. Always good to have another pair of eyes on a project. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed day.
Working smarter..not harder...😊...things r looking great Nate. ❤
I would remove the rest of the old chimney, yes, extra work, but easier now than in future.
We are wanting to remove it since it serves no purpose anymore.
Oh wow I liked that method
Since you have it all exposed I would take out the chimney .
We are wanting to remove it since it serves no purpose anymore.
Glad to see you are using a foam pad for your knees
He uses those every time instead of knee pads it is easier and feels better :)
One step closer Nate! Great job! Blessings!
Monumental
That new method sure looked like it was easier on your body! I’ll bet you can’t wait for demo to be over so that you can put it back together the right way! I love your positive attitude throughout the process. :)
Yes and his sanity, lol.
Celebrate, Set that carpet free to move on.
That went very well Nate!
It’s looking so open! ❤
Great Job Nate! Glad you found an easier method.
Keep up the great work.
Stay strong neighbor,
One day at a time !!!!!
Amazing work, Nate! You are a working machine
Yes, he really doesn't have an off switch.
Great thinking Nate,you got this.
Omg u r making such progress many blessings from North Texas ❤
So glad you are focusing on the house..not another winter in the camper ❤
At least 1 possibly 2 more yrs work to do on the house , actually its just a shell now. Warm weather is fast approaching so I fully expect outdoor projects will start taking precedent once again and rightfully so. I often think it would have been much easier and possibly cheaper to have bought a manufactured house of some sort.
Lots of hard work Nate. You are doing a fabulous job on that home. Good work on the floor.....definately a lot easier on your back and easier going. Have a great week!!
Blessings
Good afternoon Nate & Katie
It's interesting that you commented that the carpet piece was "gross" and "stinky," but you wore no gloves or hand protection...? 😮
I wouldn't think it would be necessary to remove the nails if you are going to pull up the other wood on the floor. That was a much easier way to pull up that plywood! Keep up the good work!
Wondering if it's time to just rethink how the whole house is configured keep up the good fight
🐓🐓
There a tool called deck demo that would help with floor demo, I mean there's actually a bunch of different tools that do this
❤❤❤❤
I missed the explanation about the flooring and the decision to take out the original floor....it's a lovely old floor. You can't keep it?
It has over 2" variations from it setteling and is also soft in many spots from rot.
❤

Your chimney is in that area of ceiling may be the pressure
The suspense of what's above the ceiling? Stay tuned 😀
LOL, I think he figured it out today...
A momentous occasion indeed Nate, I reckon you should frame that last piece of carpet mate. Just as a reminder of how manky it all was. I’m interested in your plans for the chimney, is it salvageable enough to be able to put a potbelly stove in for heating all that space.
No, it was cut off and doesn't go through the roof.
@@TheKraemerLife what a shame, if it dates to the 1930’s it would make good talking point.
Build laying boxes for chicken coop and the glue from the plywood is toxic
😊
👍🩵✌️
Wonder why you have to remove all that flooring can’t you just put new flooring over existing floor, if you already told us I missed it?? Any help on this people??
Several reasons, weight, variations of over 2", peace of mind, and wanting to match it to the addition. Nate has talked this a few times but I am sure he will mention it again when he gets to the removal and floor joists.
Where are your knee pads?
He uses a mat instead because it is more comfortable.
Eating the elephant one bite at a time.
If the chimney is not in use and serving any purpose why not remove it too? Or are you keeping it as feature?
We are wanting to remove it since it serves no purpose anymore.
It’s going to be an awesome open plan living area… 👍
Are you going to remove the chimney?

I'm curious about why you guys unalived 1 sheep?
She was not one we wanted to breed for several reasons. All 4 were originally purchased as feeders.
😅😃😃😃
Were these wall load bearing?
Yeah I am worried about that too
Nope, they are not.
Is that old hardwood floor moldy?
No
Do you feed the sheep at all? ?
❤
