Dave's voice seems to be the main topic in the comment section, but let just a random drummer focus on this absolute beast that Dirk is. Gar and Nick have their disciple
Dave’s has a lot of miles on him. He lived through the Killing Road. I think he does well putting a new twist on the song and improvising. Either way this song is as heavy as it gets. 🤘✌️🙂
This is pure speculation but maybe after the hardships in his personal life the last decade, his faith in Christianity has been eroded, which has led to the reversal of the decision to never play this song again.
@@joshsfox6266 well it's not speculation as it's from his own words. He said in an interview he would never play it,saying there is a real incantation to somone the devil..lol..which is comical but yeah his new found Christianity is the reason he wouldn't play.(his own words)
I was so pumped when they played this song, it's one of my favorite Megadeth songs next to skull beneath the skin, Black Friday, and five magics. This concert was so good.
@@joshsfox6266 he is still a Christian but the reason for him playing this live again is because he said he will do it as long as it does not hurt anyone so I'm guessing he would stop again if someone tried to use the lyrics in this song to cast a hex onto someone and it worked and someone got hurt from it
I know Lomenzo probably never played this in his tenure but he missed all the magical Ellefson licks in the first verse. Ah well...we still got 2:57 P.S I'd never understand why Dave doesn't sing lower registers of the notes when he has to strain so much given the history. The fans would understand, it'll sound menacing, he'll hurt less and it'll be in key!
I think this was the 1st or 2nd Deth song I ever heard when the I was about 12yrs old….for me it’s still the bench mark for what metal is all about….AWESOME!!!
Dave sounds a lot better. Glad they’re throwing this back into the set. He should open his mouth tho will sound a lot better IMO he’s singing with his mouth closed it sounds like. And yes the Gibson’s sound great. This line-up does smoke.
It would be so fucking awesome if Dave would do a set from killings my business , peace sells and so far so good.....just the old shit that made Megadeth. We rarely hear anything from the old days. However, I'm enamoured Dave has kept us with his ongoing works. Keep kicking ass Dave.

Of course, every venue sounds different as well, and Dave also might have changed his amp settings or whatever. There's so much going on live, so we can't possibly know what it is that we're hearing differently in this clip - whether it's the new guitar, the PA, the live mix, perhaps new pickups, etc. Or maybe just the mic of the smartphone ...in any case the band is sounding good!
Don’t get me wrong. I love Dave and megadeth. I saw them in Houston and the first few shows his voice was much better. It’s just a disaster now. His mic is so low and struggles on every note. :(
@@brad6812 he has a metal place in his neck that touches into his voicebox area and has made it difficult for him to hit higher notes especially, since about 2010-2011. That combined with age has roughened things but the dude has survived ODs, neuropathy radial nerve injuries, neck surgery and cancer. Be grateful for what we get while he’s here and the fact that his guitar playing is totally spot on.
After dealing with a fucked up hand and throat cancer Dave's not doing too bad but he needs to give his voice a rest. He's been struggling to hit the high notes for over a decade. They don't even have to get a new singer all they've gotta do is downtune the songs to C and he can hit the notes AND it'd sound heavy as FUCK
