Interesting fact. The Cimbrian Wars was one of the last conflicts where Rome fielded the Polybian Triple Acies Manipular Legions. The wars showed their weaknesses in relying upon an a legion made up of three different types of infantrymen, with different levels of year and equipment, along with the faults in excluding a large portion of their available man power by only allowing citizens with a certain amount of property to join the army. This led to the Marian Reforms, instituted by Gaius Marius, which created Legions that could be raised en masse, with a universal standard of equipment and training, but also created armies where the soldiers were more loyal to their generals than to the state, and helped lead to the downfall of the Republic.
So basically, it showed the weakness of having legions structured on wealth thus forming the roman war machine we all know and love?
In this Caesar I see many a Marius.
It begs the question, what could have ensured their loyalty to Rome, perhaps all spoils from all victories are tallied up and divided equally, seems harsh on the lads who earn it, but only the best generals would get the best Loot so, there was that

You can't have everything.
Can we appreciate that this person destroys there legos for this video
Brick dictator made most of the stopmotions not him
He just made some pieces out of clay or something like that
The ones that get destroyed are knock offs most likely. You can get them for like $1 a minifig.
@@steven1813 that’s what i do
True
Omg imagine all the time it took to make all the romans march. This animation shows that he is an amazing animator and a hard worker
Great entertainment - if your eyes need a break, try this Roman spectacle filmed in miniature featuring live insects, a lizard and the climactic CHARIOT RACE.
(In Latin with English subtitles)
Let us know what you think in the comments section. With winter approaching, I'm thinking about another miniature epic (not necessarily Roman) - leave us a suggestion if you want. ua-cam.com/video/V1Q6VcMsmS8/v-deo.html ..........................

Brilliantly done - both educational and massively entertaining. Thanks for taking part in the History Event!
Thanks for the inviting me in... actually I wasn't planning to make this film but after you wrote to me I've realized that it's a good thing to make a Roman video
The song at 5:00 was giving me shivers just hearing this as an enemy would made me tremble knowing so many people were on their way to attack us. That's an awesome feeling to be honest lol
It's from the movie Ben-Hur
Amazing editing and special effects

This was amazing. Great animation. Long live the glorious Lego Legions. Very accurate and brutal. Especially the village scene. The Smith was a badass fighter.
The marching and singing was my favorite part of the vid.YOUR so good at making these videos
Wow, man, it's amazing! I watched you videos about the preparation process not so long ago. You've finished the first episode so fast!
the march scene was my favorite part. it didnt look as dull as the loop you made, great work!
yeah, agree, it looks nice :)
Yep that was my favorite scene about the song and the marching
Nicely done, my friend. Keep up the good work!
Thank you man :)
A in love you lcm brick show
@starwarsstudio100 why you not uploading video now
👍👍👍 Keep up.
dang thsoe minifigures are very rare on the market now
I don’t know why but I mainly watch things like this because I just love The fighting effects and how good the motion looks being so smooth and clean.
But also I hope that my videos help you to learn smth new in history :)
My world history teacher had displays of some turning points in history made from different toys. Legos, the plastic characters like army men. He would have the display up for the duration of that subject. He would get so passionate in his explanations that the teachers next door would tell him to quiet down. Love these videos about history great job.
Must've been the best history teacher
This would be useful in schools for young children to learn history in a fun way.
I'd like to thank the creators of this! Very well-done. My son is obsessed with Lego and different wars - and now after watching this (God knows how many times) he's obsessed with history books as well (at least the parts about the Romans))
Cool! Hope he...

You know you’re in for a ride when a Lego video starts off with a 13+ warning
This is great! Romans are probably my favorite part of history so it's really cool that you made a brickfilm about Rome! I hope there are more to come!

The Barbarian attacks on Rome partially stemmed from a mass migration caused by the Huns' invasion of Europe in the late fourth century. When these Eurasian warriors rampaged through northern Europe, they drove many Germanic tribes to the borders of the Roman Empire.Jan 29, 2019
True but for this particular story it doesnt mean anything actually. We have just a fact of many germans near the north Roman borders. The initial reason of migration - hunger or weather... and they went down the map.
Loved the cinematic changes of focus on larger scenes. I don't see that very often in LEGO stop motion. Great job!
Thank you! Big scale mass scene is my wild card ))
That was suprisingly more accurate than I expected. Especially the fight animation.
You got a new supp.
welcome! :)
Nice story. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
thank you :)
Very professional. Just like the educational programs I watch.

The romans: the most fierce army the Germanic people : bro your weak
true :)
Romans were weak when compared to China or England
@@xiaotaoliang7787 a millennium after, maybe
@@xiaotaoliang7787 WTF? China had a brief period of strength (largely due to population size) but was otherwise dominated by everyone, Mongols, Japan, Western powers etc. England too only had a few good centuries and Rome lasted and dominated for how long??? Britains fate has been one of great luck. If any one of several key battles went the other way they would have been fucked.
Germans repeatedly got the crap kicked out of them. Clearly you dont know your history
I just keep on hearing the sound effect on 2:43 on every one of your battle videos XD
