Portugal is such a gorgeous country with amazing culture, delicious food, warm weather, stunning architecture, laid-back and relaxed lifestyle, vibrant colours, beautiful and sweet language, and warm and hospitable people🇵🇹♥️ Also cheers in Portuguese is 'Saúde'😊
Thank you for your video. The food tour seemed very touristy. Whenever I visit places in the world I like supporting the old legendary local stablishments instead of the trendy places.
Portugal é um lindo país. Cultura, gastronomia, história, enfim, maravilhoso. Se tiverem oportunidade visitem também a Ilha da Madeira, belíssimo lugar. Abraços de São Paulo, Brasil.
Hello Max and Jacqueline!!! Thanks so much to show my town Porto, Portugal! I'm was born, study and live on Porto!!! You're lovely couple! Congratulations!
Amazing Jacque and Max!!! That’s Beautiful!! Being a Porto local, I can tell you that you got the best things in town. Specially food Ahaha pastéis the nata are my favourite desert in the whole world 🤭 wonderful seeing the world through your adventures. Keep it up
Regarding Pasteis de Nata - there is a place in Cardiff, owned by a Portuguese bloke, that actually makes propper pasteis de nata, with a portuguese quality standard. It is called Bruno's Nata. For anyone from wales that might be craving one, I strongly suggest you check Bruno's place out.
I would visit just for the sardines alone. I'd also love to take a wine making class. I make homemade wine, but it tastes mostly like 1984 Chateau le' prison hooch.
The "quiet side" is actually a completely different city, called Vila Nova de Gaia. It's also its own municipality and county capital. The city of Porto is located only in the north bank of the Douro river.
You thought Lello was crowded? Your video looks like it was relatively calm. The day we went in, we literally were squished in up against other people. It was a nightmare. :)
@@MaxandJacqueline that was probably a skip for us. Our best, and off the beaten path, experience was taking a pastel de nata cooking class. It was really a good time.
From the website of Livraria Lello: "Having declared that when she lived in Porto, she did not know about the existence of Livraria Lello, J. K. Rowling provides details for her autobiography, recognising that the bookstore is very pretty and furthermore accepting that she would have liked to have visited («I wish I had»)."

Couldn't agree more!
When we toast with a drink we don't say "saúde", we say "à nossa". We say "saúde" when someone sneezes.

Thanks for sharing, we were also told all the good port tastings were in Gaia 🍷
I’m eating a can of Cod now. Got it over there in June. Hope it’s as good as the Sardines!
😅 so glad you mentioned that on this comment love ourselves a good comment like that 😀 thank you for sharing and watching
Nice video. Thank you.
Thank you too. Glad you liked it Jose 🙏🏻
How much was your trip to the Douro valley wine tasting?
Check the link in the description for prices. I can’t remember exactly but it was well worth it, the whole trip was so much fun!

Omg that’s horrible! I think as they’re charging entrance they should regulate it more… still not sure it was worth it but glad I saw it regardless 😅

It was really pretty and really busy 😅 But definitely worth a look
just booked breakfast tour
Fantastic! So excited for you 🤩
Great video guys 😊
Thank you 🤗
Which one is your favourite Lisbon or porto ?
Ah good question. I think Porto as it feels a little smaller. But Lisbon has amazing food aswell
@@MaxandJacqueline am planing to visit azores sintra and lisbon in mid sept
Oh wow, that sounds like a fantastic trip. Azores look out of this world, absolutely incredible. 🤩
Really touristy tour. Not traditional. Porto is one of my favorite places.
The food tour? Well at least it was tasty 😅
