- Porto is a charming city of winding streets and hidden gems. As Portugals second largest city there is so much to do but we found 48 hours was the perfect amount of time. Our favourite experiences were our day trip to the Douro Valley where we got to try Port Wine from the original Port Wine makers and our food tour where we discovered the VERY BEST Pastel De Nata. But we also visited places in the city like the famous Lello Book Store and Porto's Cathedral. In this video we share the best things to do in Porto.

Portugal is such a gorgeous country with amazing culture, delicious food, warm weather, stunning architecture, laid-back and relaxed lifestyle, vibrant colours, beautiful and sweet language, and warm and hospitable people🇵🇹♥️ Also cheers in Portuguese is 'Saúde'😊

When we toast with a drink we don't say "saúde", we say "à nossa". We say "saúde" when someone sneezes.
Regarding Pasteis de Nata - there is a place in Cardiff, owned by a Portuguese bloke, that actually makes propper pasteis de nata, with a portuguese quality standard. It is called Bruno's Nata. For anyone from wales that might be craving one, I strongly suggest you check Bruno's place out.

Amazing Jacque and Max!!! That’s Beautiful!! Being a Porto local, I can tell you that you got the best things in town. Specially food Ahaha pastéis the nata are my favourite desert in the whole world 🤭 wonderful seeing the world through your adventures. Keep it up

The "quiet side" is actually a completely different city, called Vila Nova de Gaia. It's also its own municipality and county capital. The city of Porto is located only in the north bank of the Douro river.

We would love to visit Madeira but it will have to be on another trip, unfortunately we just don’t have time to do it all!

I would visit just for the sardines alone. I'd also love to take a wine making class. I make homemade wine, but it tastes mostly like 1984 Chateau le' prison hooch.

You thought Lello was crowded? Your video looks like it was relatively calm. The day we went in, we literally were squished in up against other people. It was a nightmare. :)
Omg that’s horrible! I think as they’re charging entrance they should regulate it more… still not sure it was worth it but glad I saw it regardless 😅
@@MaxandJacqueline that was probably a skip for us. Our best, and off the beaten path, experience was taking a pastel de nata cooking class. It was really a good time.
