Pac had a rough life and from most accounts he was an emotional/confrontational dude. I think he played the juice character well because that was a part of him.

Pac had already embraced being a “rebel” prior to “Juice”; hence “Rebel of the Underground” on “2Pacalypse Now.” Beyond that, those who’re closer to Pac say he had the personality for the character “Bishop” which is what made him perfect for the actual role in “Juice.” So “Bishop” was more like Pac than Pac was like “Bishop.” Note Pac’s level of loyalty and dedication to the Outlaws versus the characters carelessness and disloyalty. Those closer to Pac, like Money B and Mutah (aka Napoleon) support this theory…

The Juice part definitely made PAC acutely aware of the strength of staying in character. Pac discussed at length of how he learned to hold his eye contact for longer periods of time Tom Cruise also employed the same acting technique. 50 Cent talked about how Bruce Willis would command a room by speaking in an almost inaudible level. So all the trolls and ignorant people, who comment on him being in ballet etc. Yes, he was. As an adolescent. Then his life took a dramatic turn! The kid you see in them videos, isn’t the same man you see on Hit em Up. For obvious fucking reasons !!! What I think is Pac got his influences being in Oakland peeping game being around dope dealers, pimps, hustlers, prostitutes and because pac being around that environment especially during that era effected his youth dropping out of high school at 17 to help his family anyway he could. He didn't really have no one else to go to even at time being homeless. But those who were close with him at that time knows pac wasn't no chump he had that personality of speaking out against things he would call out on anyone's bullshit. But the bishop character was something that he closely saw was a rebellious frustrated young man taking things into own hands.

The same old narrative being pushed by the people who didn't really know Pac like that, or hate his iconic larger than life legacy that keeps on growing. Therefore, anything to chip away at that legacy. Eiht, may be from Compton, but you can tell he's not built to go there like his records. The person that came up with the Pac/bishop angle, struck up a golden narrative for the people inside and outside the biz that hated or were jealous of the attention Pac got. Eiht trying to adjust his VLAD interview responses, he's coming off slightly politically correct, knowing where he's at. lol.
The angle of Pac's content changing from song to song has always been lame to me. He was a human being with emotions first of all. Then, he was a true artist who got inspiration from different situations, whether of his/those around him. No one feels the same way everyday. He just didn't pigeon hole himself as most of the rappers and so called " gangster rappers" back then who was tough on every song mean mugging. Pac expressed himself on every level, and that's why he lapped the rest of you. People saw /heard and could relate to him. Dude, was himself (a human going through it in the spotlight)and everyone trying to analyse him or call him fake.

Mc 8 is right I'm from Baltimore in pac lived up the street from me on Greenmount Avenue when he lived here he was totally different as a matter of fact he got teased alot around here people called him dirty he used to were staples at the bottom of his pants to keep the length up he used to ware other people clothes he used to ware this white boy clothes he went to school with down at the art school on Cathedral Street him in his mom in sister didn't have no gas in electricity in the apartment on Greenmount nigguaz used to run trains on his sister around here, I'm not trying to talk bad about him but his fans in the world don't no his real life went he lived here reason why I'm saying this because y'all cannot believe the media or TV they be lying just like they said that he lived here for 2 years that's not true he went to elementary school here and he went to middle school here and half of high school he wants to Roland Park Elementary School and then he went to Dunbar Middle School then art school downtown in Charles Village but yes he wasn't like this he worked glasses he was like a nerd when he lived here lots of people around here was mad when he did juice and kept that Bishop role that's what got him killed sometimes I'll talk to his best friend his best friend Dana used to always protect him around here Dana is in his videos and pac put Dana in the group thug life but Dana left and came back to Baltimore because he said that those Thug Life n****** could not rap and Dana kept on beating up people for him when he became famous but he been protecting him ever since he was 13 around here Dana used to beatbox while Tupac always rap you will always see them together around here I asked Dana I'm going to go yo why did you teach Tupac about the streets he said that he would not listen to him he was always hardhead but he said that he was not a street dude until it was too late but yes he did keep the bishop role because everybody in Baltimore know that he was not really like this I got pictures of him and Dana as a matter of fact I got pictures of him of him having a fade haircut the reason why he wore a bald head because pac 🔥 his hair when him and down try to put in some perms in the hair back in the days so Tupac has a bald spot in the middle of his head but my man Dana is writing a book about their life as a matter of fact the Tupac made a song about Dana the song called I'm not mad at you this is the person he was talking about his best friend because Dana used to knock out n****** for him ever since they were 13 and when he became famous he still was knocking n****** out for him but then you used to always tell him to chill out but he said he never listen to him but Dana just now got a park named after Tupac around the way around here and he's making Tupac ice cream now a couple ice creams is named after his songs or words the blacker the bird the sweeter the juice but yes he did I have a rough life around here the reason why he left Baltimore because Tupac used to hang around McCabe and old York and cater Avenue you probably heard this on the song called my block where he hollered out cater Avenue at the end of the song so the real reason why he left because McCabe and old York and cater Avenue had beef with all the other streets and Tupac boys was getting killed with five bodies dropping a day you probably seen him on videos talking about his friends died of Baltimore when he was 17 or something when he was young yes so his mother got scared and sent him to California but the last time he visited around here was before he caught that rape charge and people haven't seen him since Dana was trying to reach him but he said that death row was treated him like he was the president not protecting him but he was real busy but yes he did grow up really poor around here which was very sad Dana used to get some clothes all the time and then you used to live with him too when he went to California to do the videos with him he said pac will drop his clothes drawers in the middle of the floor and leave them there pants everything he always left his clothes on the floor all the time no homo no gay s*** but he was just sleeping on the floor and the reason why I'm saying is because again to his fans Stop Believing in TV and this s*** called the media cuz they be lying just like that movie or eyes on me and nothing but a lie sometimes I'll be laughing when I see some people say things about him that they don't really know him just like one lady Channel will not be strolling I see something about Tupac I just laugh one lady said on her Channel said that him and Jada Pinkett both was selling drugs together I started laughing I said Miss why you lying on Tupac you never saw no drugs the drug dealers used to give him clothes now Jada used to sell drugs yes I knew her father he used to be in the streets in the drug program called BBH down South Baltimore rest in peace to my man I never knew Jada but I knew her father but her mother still lives a couple blocks from me she be on TV at that red table but she still lives here in Baltimore

Pac's original "set" was the Black Panters. His "OG's" were people like Mutulu and Geronimo Pratt. Now what set was more with it than the Panthers? So he had that side. In his music he didn't focus on gangbanging. He talked more about militancy, being military minded, fighting oppression, and his response to people violating his code as a man.
So you get these jewels of pride and organizing; but your mother is addicted to drugs, your family is still on welfare, and you're growing up in poverty. So you relate to a lot of the plight of other young men growing up in the street. You throw in the performing arts school to cultivate his artistic/creative side and you get a blend. An intelligent, militant, artistic guy who is comfortable in the streets. Look at the role he played as "Birdie" in "Above the Rim". A true thespian could have done it justice. But I've never seen a pure thespian with limited street experience capture a street guy with that kind of authenticity and character depth. Developing a tough and hard exterior but also broken and emotional because of childhood trauma. He had to know that world to capture it like that.
