HOW DOES TIDMOUTH SHED TURNTABLE WORK? Thomas & Friends Bachmann Trains

How does the turntable work and the tracks in my Tidmouth sheds for my Thomas & Friends layout? The layout is Atlas track controlled by Atlas selectors but the turntable is Bachmann track as well as the track around the turntable. The motorized turntable and track requires very little wiring and is very easy to set up.

I have a suggestion. For your new layout, use dual gauge track. Dual gauge track in real life is basically normal rails, with a 3rd rail in the middle that narrow gauge engines ride on. Because bachmann is coming out with more and more n scale engines this would be a useful and really awesome layout.

If you make a bigger layout, one design I was planning was using the one you have, but connected to the Super pretzel layout in a way that it is shaped like a "U". Or you could make it shaped like an "L" by using that little siding in the back left corner to connect the layouts.

2 things, 1, you should get Hornby Arthur (yes there is a Hornby Arthur), and 2, you should do Thomas and Friends remakes with these Bachmann/Hornby models.

I like the electric turntable better because with the manual one if you didn't have the handle close enough to where you could turn it easily then you were kind of out of luck!!!!

Great Video! I would LOVE to see a bigger layout. You should try to base your next layout off the Island of Sodor (like ThomasWoodenRailway did with his Wooden Trains). I think that would be a cool base! Keep up the great work! 👍

I have this exact turn table and mine doesn’t replicate the power to each other track. I have to have multiple power tracks. Any idea what my problem is?

Question: so do the green things and control box that went on the manual tidmouth sheds turntable, go onto the motorized one? If so, I’m definitely getting one of these for my layout.

The way the turntable is supposed to work is there is wires that go from it to a switch then wires from the switch to a transformer. However I bought mine used so I had to rig it up. So the actually version is even simpler. The green switches turn on and off the power from the transformers to blocks of the track. The track is electrically divided into sections.

Train Tsar Fun I’m sorry, what I meant to say was, the little green barriers that go on the sides of the piece of track that spins around. They came with the original tidmouth sheds kit , also with the little box shaped attachment with the sloped roof that goes on the side of the spinning piece of track. Do those attach to the motorized turntable as well? I’m sorry for the misunderstanding and miscommunication on my part.
