On my 2001 civic, there is not enough belt to go around the alt pulley.
Update: The idiot at the parts store gave me a short belt. Got the correct larger belt and had it installed in a couple of mins.

Same here but an 03 was one number off on the part number on the belt and had to trade for a half inch bigger
