I just had this thought ...
I love how Steve wins a fight with a Demogorgon and a highly trained Russian guard but loses fights with 2 people his age who’s fighting abilities should be close to his.....
TV logic
I feel like he was holding back when he fought jonathan and billy simply because he just didn't want to hurt them, cause he know what he's capable of doing and afraid to let lose, that's why he won when he fought the russian guy and the demogorgon
Also he fought the Demogorgon and Demodogs with spiky baseball bat, not fists
Also, billy was WAY better than him at fighting, and jonathan had major rage, and as soon as he was able to get steve down, he didn’t stop hitting him. He caught the russian guard by surprise, and slammed their head into a counter and a microphone, not just with bare fists.
Dude then billy sux because he used a fking plate to knock Steve out and I’m pretty sure that plate was much harder than a telephone
Also the only reason Jonathan beat him because he was going through an emotional crisis
