For me, a home isn’t a home without art, so, needless to say, I LOVE her home! It is the landscape of her very interesting life experiences!
Your mother's needlepoint pieces are treasures with her exquisite handwork. The furniture built by your father is perfect for your home. This is a gracious, warm and welcoming home.
OMG! You are the perfect, perfect host! Your home is so classy, yet cozy. I loved all your DIY projects, TJ Maxx & Goodwill purchases, and sweet contributions from your mom and dad. Thank you so much for sharing :)
This homeowner is so lucky to have her grandmother’s, mother’s and dad’s silver ware, china, embroidered items and furniture. Just beautiful! Her TJMaxx acrylic table and silver chest are perfect! No reason to be ashamed to shop there!
She makes it so relatable to all of us who can't shop in Paris but can swing by TJ Maxx.
@@user-sc9lr6kz8tExactly. Well said.
Sad that people have to be ashamed that they shop at regular stores. No one wants a house that looks like it fully furnished from HomeGoods but mixing and matching is part of the fun when you don’t have a multi million dollar budget.
Many times when I’m shopping at Homegoods I get into conversations with designers. They are picking up home decor to decorate client’s homes. They aren’t ashamed to be shopping at Homegoods or TJMaxx . So many of the homeowners featured on this channel shop high and low! No surprise at all!
What a fun lady! I can’t believe her mother made those rugs! She must be so patient. What incredible talent!
I’m not a maximalist, but I’m on the verge, and when I cross over the line, I want to be just like this lovely lady! Stunning home!
I love how everyone is a dear friend or someone she greatly appreciates. What a people person she must be!
I couldn't help but wish I was her friend. She's so full of talent and personality that I bet she inspires those around her.
TJ Maxx...Trader Joe's and mom's needle work and dad's carpentry... oh my!!!! Shut the front door....I'm not leaving.!!! What a lovely lady! OMG her necklaces are beautiful!
I absolutely love Janet's elegant home. You would never know some of her furniture is from TJ Maxx. That bar is incredible and so cleaver. Her mom's needlepoint is so beautiful and special. It's literally a work of art. Janet's home is just like her classy, fun, and inviting. I love her home and Janet is pretty special too.
She was so refreshing! Precious pieces and not so precious, well curated and handsome and fun. I love the handmade as well as goodwill reupholstered finds. Such an amazing talented family. Gorgeous pillows and rugs and art. Nicely done HomeWorthy!
La-la-la-LOVE this house. That pink bathroom is epic! Her gallery walls are divine too
The Armoire Bar ... that is amazing. I love a home filled with well-loved treasures.
What a fabulous home, and what a lovely woman! Her parents' creations took my breath away!
She has excellent taste. I love her style!
Love how Janet mixes high and low pieces.
I love her! I feel like I have permission not to be shy about buying things from Lowe’s or Marshall’s
“I really have very little on my counter top”. Then proceeds to show us a cluttered countertop.😂
Love it !! There's a home for everything ( all essentials of course )😊
Gorgeous! And what a cool lady…thank you for sharing! Love that she was unabashed to reveal her TJ Maxx finds! What an eclectic mix. She’s a true artist.
As always these designers and artistically talented people DO NOT follow the trends at all! They alllll decorate with curated collections that THEY love........not a farmhouse barn door to be seen...LOL. I love it!!!!
Love her decorating style. Her maximalist decorating is special to me because I am a maximalist also. So many beautiful things all together, its perfection
I cannot wait to rewatch this episode. I love everything she has and I need still pictures to absorb all that fabulousness.
I loved her candor about entertaining and guests, etc. She’s someone you’d want to be friends with and hang out with. Love the bar and love how she created that beaded faux turquoise chandelier!!!
Many “Maximalist” homes can look like jumbles from hoarders. This one is too busy for me as are most, but it’s still beautiful. Nice job. I can appreciate a well done style, even if it’s not for me.
There is a fine line between being a maximalist or a hoarder. My mother-in-law has definitely crossed that line, and her home has gone from cozy to suffocating. 😬
@@annjohnson8437 My aunt was a hoarder. We called it the Adams Family house.
The two DIY busts, huge sea shell mirror, turquoise chandelier, silver chest, hercules table, bar, paintings. It's like a treasure trove ...
I absolutely love this type of decor
This video was crazy good! You get to see the interiors and listen to her stories without it being a looong explanation over every tiny single little item. It was superb!
Absolutely LOVE her Maximalist Style and all the Textiles.
I absolutely adore the mix of “trash” and treasures. Just the way life was meant to be lived!
I actually got goosebumps watching this. Usually, when one watches the homes of affluent people - soul, personality and and sense of being lived in is seriously lacking. No this home. There‘s love, soul, and so very cosy. Little treats all over. Beautiful.
Such a beautiful home… bursting with joy and creativity, much like the homeowner . Loved this house tour. Thank you Homeworthy. Thank you Janet.
I think I found someone who is actually more maximalist than I am. It works, beautiful house filled with lots of amazing treasures. BTW: I love her necklace & jacket. I need a necklace like that, it's so my style. Man, her style...we could be friends. Ha!
really like this place.... and Janet is very charming and has a good sense of humor.
Amazing art collection! Love love Janet’s style. The curtain fabrics were divine and the pillow art delightful. Thank you Homeworthy for this beautiful home tour 🙏
So obviously a soul, a personality vitally, gloriously - and without too much interruption - expressed in the contents of the home, the home's location, and all around lifestyle and vocation(s). Always respectful of this kind ofr vibrancy and strength of being. Wonderful place.
Finally some color.
I know right!!! So tired of the great American white out presented by a stepford wife.
Awsome video love all the needle work your mother made ! ❤️
Such a creative family -- Mom and Dad also do amazing work, lucky gal! Love your home, beautiful and eclectic.
Thank goodness -- finally an entertaining video with a well-spoken hostess showing us her beautiful home, wonderful artwork, and her mother's lovely needlepoint.
Loved absolutely everything about this home👍👍👍👏👏👏
That was really fun. She's a one of a kind and so is her home.
Janet’s energy is reflected in her beautiful home. I love how all of her things are precious, but not so precious, and the way she combines high end with low end, with things she’s made (that bathroom chandelier!). Janet isn’t afraid to experiment, and express her own unique style. Great video!
Her home matches her personality…bodacious! “You have almost overstayed your welcome”. Love it!😂
The blue console, the bar (oh the bar), her dining table, the flowers, the different glasses … I used to get corrected by family because I love mixing up glasses etc. for drinks but now, I finally have the green light, to be who I am, like what I like, mix how I want. Thanks to this lady‘s very beautiful, bold and unconventional style.
I absolutely love this home!! So my style! It's cozy, beautiful and fantastic. What I love is that it's not huge but she made it look grand! Love it! And thank you for loving color!
Loved this visit with Janet touring her lovely townhouse. Stunning. It's ok to be a collector...I am also❤
Beautiful home. Love the eclectic mix and family heirlooms. I think I need to check out TJ Maxx. 😉
I am thrilled this historic Charleston house is so loved, lived in, enjoyed and shared! Too often these jewels are more museums or trophies than beloved homes. Well done ❤
I don't believe this is an historic home.
What a talented family! Between her designs, and her father's furniture designs, and her mother's needlepoint rugs, wow, just wow. As an artist, I am fascinated by the needlepoint rugs. It looks like one rug would take a lifetime to create. The floral one in her bedroom is especially beautiful. My favorite room was her living room because it was colorful, whimsical, and fun, with sheer elegance thrown into the mix. I liked the bar and the turquoise chandelier and of course all of the art. Too many beautiful things to mention. I found her kitchen rules to be a bit quirky but that's okay. lol In some ways, she reminded me of me. A bit airy and out there but very together at the same time:-) I found some of those French vintage armchairs in NYC when I lived there too, I still have them:-) I enjoyed the tour.
All I can say is WOW!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
I love seeing the decor and treasures but here in the south the kitchen IS the heart of the home and that’s where we all love to gather. Maybe that’s why your guest like to go there.
Janet and her house are both absolutely fabulous! Love all the art and needlepoint. Exceptional talent and loved hearing about it all!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. You are so fortunate to have such stunning family pieces. That is a also a fabulous art collection.
Love here style, a woman with taste🤩😍
Not my style but throughly enjoyed seeing you cherish every inch in that house and so much creativity in the colors, the flowers, the artwork, wow!
Janet is a jewel herself, Thank you Janet for inviting us into your very own jewel box of treasures 💖🌹.. This here is my exact style of interior decorating. 🌹
WOW! Your mother is a treasure! Those pieces are so special. And the rug! I love your style. The pink is divine! I painted a vanity table and chair in a similar color, and it is the perfect neutral. IMHO. I love your art collection, and I will be watching again to take them all in. Love the closet bar, the lighting throughout and the windows add so much to the different spaces. Love your mix of high and low end. Stunning! :)
Wow. The need work of her Mum! Such gifted ladies. So beautiful. Can you tell i am in my element watching this?
Love the host and her beautiful home!
Nice home. I really love the art. You must have the best friends ever! they give you so many great gifts.
Janet....if youre reading this....please come to my house and bring your decorating friends! 😂 I love love this home tour! Fabulous use of color! The furniture built by her father and the needlepoint by her mother are incredible! Obviously their talents and creativity has influenced her fearlessness and creativity in design. Will watch this again and again!!!
Fun and fearless! ❤
I like her. Keep it Rollin Janet.
I “absolutely adored” this home and homeowner.
More is more! Love it.
Fantastic! So genuine and warm!
I love your home! I adore the hot pink bathroom and I especially love that you have pieces from TJ Maxx. I love when people decorate with all levels of luxury. Thank you for sharing your home.
What a creative mind, ironically I have a pillow that looks eerily like the one she patched together. Love everything about this home.
Loved her home. Her style is so lovely ❤
Clutter is in the eye of the beholder - love Janet’s style ❤
Blue console is absolutely beauitful.
I love your home, your style and elegance! You flair for grouping is outstanding! Thank you for sharing!
Great tour! So many treasures!
I loved living in Charleston. 😊❤. Your home is Judy gorgeous. You have quite an eye for things being together.👏🌟🏡
Beautiful! Love every element of this home 🩷
Full of color and personality!! Love, love, love!
So lovely!
J’adore aussi 🐚🌿🖼️🍸🩵
Great art work!!❤
Love her and her space !
The bust T the end😍😍😍 Going to have to try and replicate this one.
Outstanding! Thank you.
Love it. Finally a home not a house. A good designer always mixes inexpensive wuth expensive. Keeps people guessing. When people come to our home, they dont know what cost $10k or $100.
Lovely! Thank you for sharing with us.
I Love IT! 💖
So beautiful and soooo interesting
loved it all!
Preciosa casa, tan llena de personalidad, la disfrute enormemente!
Love it
Your Zebra stripe chairs caught my eye. Click. 😎 I'm going to pick up inherited furniture today. The Jacobean dining chairs that are part of the lot need to be reupholstered. Serendipitous me thinks haha.
Amazing 🤩
I love her home ❤
Beautiful ❤
Thank you for sharing your home and collections with us! Your home is wonderful! I’d love to be invited to a gathering in your home…lots to see and talk about, and you’re so interesting! Art everywhere!
Love it all
Wonderful host and home.
Beautiful home. Eclectic. She definitely doesn’t believe in Swedish death cleaning…..
What is Swedish death cleaning?
@@rmonson5002 , it’s a method of declutterring. Practical. Basically, it’s taking into consideration your loved ones and not burdening them with your things after you die, so you give away or get rid of many things.
@@angelirohival6270 This is exactly what my mom tried to do for me before she died. I didn't know it had a name. The hoarder in me wouldn't let her do it and now I'm regretting it. Mom knew best. And I'm excited to find out I'm half Swedish. 😉
@@rmonson5002 , wow! That’s cool!
I should hate the clutter but I don't. The tones work with each other. And foo dogs ! A first for Homeworthy tours !
I love your home, reminds me of many of my own pieces collected over the years. For colour, how about a smokey gray, bordering on silver or even plum? All of your artwork would pop and remain uniquely identifiable.
