I really wanna buy a vacuum like this Samsung, I was afraid it wouldn't be able to cope with my carpet, but according to your video it can! Thanks!

So glad you’ve chosen this machine to feature, I’ve seen it online and I was intrigued by the Cleanstation feature. Looks like a very well designed machine, can’t feel the plastics for myself but looks loads higher quality than my Dyson cordless. Like the metal listed cyclone shroud with its little perforations. Love the telescopic wand and extending crevice tool. The floor cleaner looks like a gimmick to me, I don’t like the idea of removing dirty pads from the base and because they’re circular I can’t imagine them getting into corners. As you observed if you have to vacuum first it’s a bit of a pain… I’ll definitely stick to my Bissell Crosswave Max cordless floor cleaner. Small turbo nozzle looks OK but look at the size of its base plate in relation to the small suction channel, I can imagine that leaving areas of stairs uncleaned. Most of all though I’m really disappointed with the Cleanstation and the manual interaction. I thought it was a sort of dock and charger that also automatically emptied the machine after every use. The fact that it’s a separate part that has to be operated manually makes it only marginally better/cleaner than emptying it into a bin. Also it’s only compatible with Samsung machines, I assume? I’m sure Dyson et al would be furious but if it was compatible with all cordless machines suddenly a messy job would be much tidier and you’d have your bin vacuumed out each time. It’d be an expensive investment for not much gain but I hate the cloud of dust and finger poking to get round the cyclone when I empty mine… it’s a shame the designs are all so disparate as to prevent a Cleanstation for universal use with all cordless cleaners. Without docking and charging functionality, I just think it seems like s gimmick but I’ll await Roger’s expert opinion and real world experience!

The new Henry Quick is a far superior concept for this type of vacumn cleaner,

it seems like a very convoluted (and expensive) method of emptying the bin

That's just ridiculous. Buying a bagless cleaner and then buying bags for a contraption that empties the dust bin into a bag? That's just pure consumptionism rigth there :D

I wish Dyson would update their design, their vacuums look like cheap toys, and cost as much as a Rolls-Royce.

I do not agree - Dyson’s have a vintage futuristic look to them. Like what you would have expected the future to look like in the 80’s and 90’s.
And i actually like that - because my Dyson hangs on the wall in the livingroom without looking like a boring vaccum - and nobody has ever said “why is your vaccum displayed on your wall?”
They would if this were hanging on the wall.
Also this Samsung thing - why does it have a cleaning station WITH A BAG!?!
For gods sake - if you wan’t your dirt to go into expensive bags, why would you buy a bagless vaccum then?
I do agree though that Dyson’s can have a flimsy feel to them, which i hope they will get rid off.

I bought the Dyson Animal V8 about a year ago $599 in Australia - each time they bring out new models the older models are reduced - I have an Electrolux & Bosch Stick Vacs. The dirt that the Dyson removes is incredible - I have 3 small Dogs & vacuum my 3 bedroom Villa every day (Carpet). It takes about 15 minutes & carpets always look great.

Dyson need to include a stand like this and offer a clean station too. Cheers Rog.

No, they are a waste of space.
The advantage of bagless vaccums is that you don’t need to buy expensive bags.
Here in Denmark 5 bags for this (shipping included) is 20 pounds.
      20 POUNDS FOR 5 BAGS?
On Samsung’s website they are an eye watering 40 US dollars.

The Clean Station is very reminiscent of the American Electrolux canisters. It's also similar to what a number of robotic vacuum cleaners have as well. Each time my Mom's Shark Rocket is used, I take it down stairs and clean it with my central vac.

Is it just me or is that mini motorized powerhead is that the smallest opening you've ever come across. How is that supposed to clean a large area and how you supposed to get up next to the walls on steps and tight areas when it has mostly just plastic As far as the nozzle area goes underneath

  • @Boodieman72

There are two things that I must mention to you. One: Facebook tracks just about everything you do on the site. Two: devices like the Samsung clean station have existed for years for robotic vacuums to increase their Autonymy.

I am well aware we are being spied on all the time by Facebook, Alexa, mobile phones and other smart devices. I also know about self emptying vacuum cleaners as I’ve had one for a while. This video was also recorded about a year ago when the Clean Station was relatively new.

I can't wait to get my hands on that new Hoover all-terrain stick vac it is awesome. It comes with as far as I know the first hand vac that also comes with the powered electric side hose for the mini nozzle instead of attaching it directly to the hand vac part you can attach it to the electrified hose to do small tight areas now and the power head looks amazing it looks more on the lines of like the shark but the brush rolls both brush rolls are designed to come out of the power head on this new Hoover. And the name of it is called emerge by Hoover it's the pet model. Cannot wait for it to hit the market I will be ordering one it's about $400 but I think it's going to be awesome

I don’t really get the cleaning station .. Why would you buy a bagless vaccum to dispose your dirt into expensive bags?
The advantage of bagless vaccums are that you save money on bags - here you need to buy bags, but you aren’t getting all the filtration and hygine that bags offer.
This vaccum gives you the worst of both worlds. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
