John Lennon 1980: The Last Days In the Life | Interview with Kenneth Womack

To mark the occasion of John Lennon's 80th birthday, in this video I interview Kenneth Womack, author of 'John Lennon 1980: The Last Days in the Life'. Ken Womack's Lennon book focuses on John Lennon's final year as he mounted a music industry comeback and recorded 'Double Fantasy'. Sadly, as we all know, the year ended in tragedy as John was assassinated in December 1980.
During this John Lennon book interview, I ask Ken to imagine the idea of John Lennon 80 years old waiting for postcards from his son Sean or how Lennon's career might have progressed if he hadn't been killed. We also speak about John Lennon's unreleased songs and how Yoko Ono is unfairly maligned by many Lennon fans when she should be celebrated as an influential figure in her own right.
