Encouraged? No. Are you allowed to say those prayers as private devotions? Absolutely! Both prayer are fine and even used in some Western Rite Orthodox traditions. If you are interested, check out the St. Ambrose prayer book by Lancelot Andrews Press. Lancelot Andrews Press is a Western Rite Orthodox publishing company. If my memory serves correctly, both those devotions are included in the prayer book along with some other western traditions.

The Lord has had and abundantly shown His mercy to sinners. The Word of God says the saved are new creations with “old things passed away and ALL things become NEW! Preach the Gospel of Jesus’ VICTORY over Satan, sin, sickness, death and the grave. And teach people they are more than conquerers thru Christ who loved them as sinners and calls them to be obedient sons and daughters of God!He died and rose to break the power of sin over our lives! Instead of pleading for mercy for ongoing sin, teach them to walk in the power of the Spirit and no longer in the flesh. Teach them to receive and to exercise Holy Spirit’s power to live holy and blameless in this dark world and to join in setting those still captive FREE! It is for liberty that Jesus set us free. “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.”

Determine to personally discover from God’s Word what many priests and pastors have failed to teach and preach to their congregations. As believers in Jesus, we have a responsibility to read, to study and to allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds with the living Word of God. If we willingly remain ignorant we will be judged responsible for neglecting the knowledge of the Gospel and also for failing to share it’s life-giving truths with our families and with others. Jesus told His followers to take this “good news” to everyone in every nation. We are either obeying or disobeying the assignment He’s given us! You don't need that to pray and wr should never hail Mary we should hail God, please read the gospels and repeat and believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ!
@@johnnylopez9268The reason Catholics and Orthodoxs pray to Mary and saints is because when a saint or holy member of the Church dies, they are still active participants of the Church, and to pray to them is actually asking them to pray for us. We especially pray to Mary because she gave birth to the living God and being part of the Holy Family, which gives her greater holy status.
Except our prayer ropes are different and far more powerful than any evil. Each knot of the Eastern Orthodox prayer rope is tied a specific way in the shape of a cross making it impossible for the devil to untie. Each one is made with deep prayer typically by monks. May the Lord draw you away from evil and bring you into true love with the One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic church.

Very nice. Just to add that the church Fathers advise that when praying the Jesus prayer the name Jesus should be in the prayer
I say lord Jesus Christ son and word of god have mercy on me a sinner

Amen
Is the rosary and Saint Michael prayer encouraged by Orthodoxy?.
