  • Hi all,
My name is James, I am an advanced life support paramedic. I am currently doing my Masters in medical education. I am passionate about EMS and make these video's purely because I enjoy doing so and in the hopes that you all will enjoy them.
In this video, we breakdown the 7 p's of RSI. They have been around for a long time and needed some editing. This is part 1 of a 3 part series. We will discuss Preparation, Preoxygenate and Pretreatment.

Good basic info.... As an ALS PARAMEDIC of 26+ years & still in full-time operations, I always say, one can have all the complex knowledge of ALS but in practice it's often the BASICS that save the day....
Truly proud & honoured to "meet" you.

Really appreciate the feedback. Any specific feedback or notes that would help me improve?

@@MedicalTraining The thumb nail gave me the impression that the 7 P's were going to be presented in a subsequential order. You mentiond the first three P's and then started to give your background info, which was great however it spaced out getting the other 4 P's. I listen alot while im doing other things and it would really help if you state out the full list so we can book mark that and watch it over and over. Lastly it would have been great if you listed out the 7 P's like you did the "SOAPME" On screen that would have been amazing for your viewers to write down or screen shot. Thanks I love your vids and I still take notes from them.

Good information - but poorly organized. You jump all over the map with your P’s. Don’t talk about pros / cons and reasons for intubation - after talking about prep - preoxygenation - pre treatment meds. For learners - make sure to present in a logical order. The reasons for intubation should be presented first - then pros / cons - reasons for failure - then go into the P’s - as the P’s attempt to mitigate the risks and increase success. You present Correct information - just presented in a very disconnected / rambling / non flowing manner.
