Hey! Everyone! PA elevators Said : Westinghouse originally installed this elevator. It got modernized by Schindler in the past 10 Years. It travels at 1100 FPM! For a freight that’s FAST! I can’t give the location if you do know where it is and DO NOT comment the location you will be blocked and the comment will be removed. I DID HAVE
I didn't even know elevators without automatic doors could or were allowed to go that fast. But I guess regulation on freight elevators is different. In the 90s this kind of elevators where the door side was basically open and you could see the doors and walls between the floors moving past you were quite common in the Netherlands. But they always went pretty slow and the fast ones always had automatic doors on the inside. Not sure if the automatic doors were by design from the beginning because many of them looked to be retrofitted later. Maybe they were fast in the past but for safety reasons either made them slower or retrofitted them with automatic doors as most are nowadays. Modern elevators have automatic doors on both sides.
This was an incredible fine despite the thing being modernized it was cool. That thing was fast. I would have loved to have driven this thing before it was modernized and manually run. However it was done Tastefully the modernization.
...puts the one we have in Fusionopolis (1.5 m/s OR 300fpm and capacity 6000kg OR 13227.74 lbs) to shame. But this is 4000lbs or 1814kg. Maybe 1100fpm or 5.5 m/s is kind of OK given that I have seen faster lifts at higher capacities.
It isn't enforced. It has to do with an archaic law that doesn't allow people to sneak up on people. Apparently this was considered dangerous when moose hunting years ago. Every state has weird, old laws on the books that mean nothing anymore. I'm in Minnesota... where it's "illegal" to eat a hamburger on Sunday... Also, just in case you were considering doing this, it's "illegal" to pawn your dentures in Nevada and "illegal" to kiss on a train in Wisconsin... lol
That elevator is a rocket, especially for a freight elevator.
That looks AWESOME and FAST!!
That's easily the fastest true freighter I've ever seen.. we have one that is about 800fpm here, but definitely not that fast! Quadruple thumbs up!
Damn that thing is FAST AF!
Wow that is one fast freight
Dang! This must have been a good find.
1:13 in subtitles lol my airship hops
That elevator is like a rocket. Why can’t all buildings have something like this?
Imagine if something broke the safety circuit while it was at full speed 😬
It’s fast as superbike

This almost equals the tower of terror for speed but without the sudden changes of direction.
That’s dangerous
Fastest freight elevator in freight elevator history!
Elevating Toronto by ToronElevators, I suggest you remove your comment. He literally said in the description not to say where it is.
