Yes mate. Thanks for this quick demo. I'm currently just looking for a cheap little box for Delay and Reverb for my Electro Acoustic and after browsing online there seems to be an infinate number of really cheap options and I've been going crazy over the last week or so struggling to make any kind of decission but after this demo I think I'm gonna purchace this one. Thumbs up my mate.
One thing: you should have opened the pedal. Inside there are two dipswitches, one for more gain/less output v.v, the other one works with the trimpot, shifting the mid/high range. This is a very nice pedal for a ridiculous price. I'm a professional guitarplayer for over 40 years, I had and have lots of stuff, both expensive and affordable, but I still am amazed about how much good stuff you can buy for little money nowadays. Lately I use a Mosky Golden Horse (wich you can buy online for under $25) as a treblebooster on my main board, that consists of mostly more expensive pedals. It's one of the many Klon-clones and it works great. I got me two, because the Silver Horse somehow went dead, probably because of a problem with the power supply. I also have a "affordaboard" that I use for jams, rehearsals, as a spare etc. with only a couple of affordable (what else...? 😄 ) pedals, but I think I'll get me this Mosky SOL918. No patch cables and no Pedaltrain needed. 😉
Yeah, this is an ideal thing to bring along for open mic nights. I didn't know about the internal trim pots, that just adds another layer of versatility to an already useful bit of kit 👍

i bought one of these i think 2 or 3 weeks ago, i really like the DS the most, if you crank the Reverb high enough you'll gonna have a nice ambience, worth the money specially i combined it with cuvave as a pre-amp it was very powerful
@@BudgetPedalChap I just picked up a Mosky Ch-Vibe, it's a really decent sounding "uni-vibe" style pedal for a really inexpensive pricetag, if you get a chance, check it out
Yep the zoom 505 was my first pedal also. Loved it and had my full set programmed into it. Unfortunately it was stolen from me when I quit playing for years.
I would invert the OD and DS order. Otherwise it seems like good stuff for travellers (last summer I set up a budget, simple board with OD -> DS -> EQ -> IR loader and it already takes up more floor space at twice the cost).
Yeah that was my initial thought too. Having a toggle switch for FX order would be great, but it's so inexpensive, it's easy to overlook this missing feature.
I agree with you regarding the order of the drivers (I would also prefer the distortion after the overdrive), but nothing prevents you from putting an overdrive pedal before the distortion of this multi-pedal. For those who see the need for this, the solution is very simple.
@@BudgetPedalChap Yes. I bought one of this multi-pedal from Mosky last month, after watching your video. My pedalboard is a little big (it has 21 pedals) but the basic effects that I use frequently are exactly those available on the Sol918, so it is a very cheap spare for my pedalboard. And the Fx Loop option is great for me to place modulation effects between the overdrive and the delay, if I need it, as well as the possibility of placing any pedal before the input or even after its output. It is within its price range, one of the best multi-effects pedals I see on the market, due to all the usage options it allows.
Me estoy convenciendo por este pedal pero tengo duda de la distorsión y el overdrive, Es q busco q el overdrive este ligero y el distorsión mas pesado si suenan asi los dos??
@@BudgetPedalChap Thanks for Your quick response! 👌 Im searchimg exactly for such a little pedal: Clean, crunch, distortion.... quick and easy. Do You have a tip for a preamp?
@BudgetPedalChap oh I just understand bypass fx loop . looper kinda fun so, I need to buy looper pedal and include it with this mosky too better than buy many separate pedals as beginners focus in few first then see what kind of music you like to go for more pedals
Guitar is a Variax, but only using the magnetic pickups. Essentially it's like a mid level Yamaha Pacifica. The amp is a fender model on the HX stomp 👍
Fuck that sounds good for the price. Ive been looking at reviews for similar units. This one SOUNDS analogue. Is it? I'm just guessing by the smooth sound. The digital ones sound digital and will probsably cause ear fatigue but this one sounds NICE! I don't know if it's just because your guitar sounds good to begin with.
Yeah, the verb and delay are digital but the rest are analogue as far as I can tell. It felt really good to play and was rather impressive for such an affordable unit 👍 You're right though, my guitar sounds ace 😂😂😉
@@BudgetPedalChap thanks, I just tried that on two amps and this thing sounds really good! I use a Boss GX100 as my main rig but wanted something small enough to throw in my gig bag to drive my tube amp at practice. I may be selling that GX!

I really like that od circuit. It's a very nice compact multi pedal, I could see it being very good for a fly rig
Yeah, ideal for an open mic night or a pedal board you need to have on hand luggage.

@@errorsofnovember6068can you explain to me why you used cuvave as a preamp and whats the benefit of using it
Great job as always 👏🏻
Gracias! It did a much better job than I expected and it's so well priced too
It is a very versatile pedal.
These are really cool, I almost bought one but went in a different direction instead, maybe in the future I might. Nice demo!

Yep can confirm a great pedal... 💥
@@luiscypher9844 indeed, really versatile bit of kit 👍
Now this is my good to go rig. Affordable & lighter 😀. Awesome video @BudgetPedalChap 👍🏻
I could see it doing a great job for that. Thanks for your kind words 👍
Not bad for a budget fly rig! Not a fan of the delay sound personally, but that's me!
With the loop, you could put in any delay you want. For £45 it's easy to forgive it
Sounds fantastic and for the price you can't get more :)
Even if you were to buy the cheapest version of each of those effects, you'd be hard pressed to get a delay, verb, dist and od for less 👍
When you compare this to the Zoom 505 I got when I first started playing, it's just in a different league!
Absolutely. It's easy to forget how far we have come since those days
Yep the zoom 505 was my first pedal also. Loved it and had my full set programmed into it. Unfortunately it was stolen from me when I quit playing for years.
Does the overdrive boost the volume of the distortion setting for soloing?
Yeah, you can use it that way 👍
Thanks 👍🎸
I think this would pair nicely with a Joyo American Sound plugged into the FX loop.
I think you're probably right 👍
I bought both models as they are great.
I didn't know they did smoother, thanks for letting me know 👍

Would prefer chorus to the reverb.
Sonicake has something similar that has chorus instead. I think it's called the black hammer or something similar
Mosky also have one, it's called mosky dc5. Its got a od, ds, chorus, and delay
why the distortion level was sensitive when increasing the volume?
Level and gain are linked in most pedals. The more gain, the more compressed your tone gets and so you might have to adjust the level to compensate

Can I use the drum rhythm in it?
To add FX to the drums? You could I would think, I'm not sure it's the best use for it though
What is the signal chain? First OD or first DS?
The signal chain goes from right to key, so OD first, then Dist, FX loop, delay then reverb 👍
