For some reason, the real-time planting of the Bottle Brush was extremely satisfying. That really was the perfect place for it. Nice video.

Laura, after seeing your Tiger Eye Sumac in its beautiful fall color, I added it to my extremely long list of must-have plants for my garden. You, my dear, have become my enabler! I love seeing everything come together on your new property. The number of changes to your property that have taken place this year alone is nothing short of mind-boggling! How wonderful for you and your family!

I’ve been admiring those Tiger Eye Sumacs every time they show up in the background of a video all summer and fall. I have to get me some of those!!!!

This video was so special - loved Benjamin in the garden using his auger to help plant the garlic just charmed my ole’ teacher heart, of course. But the part that I loved the best was when you planted the bush near your front porch. No music - just the quiet and the birds in the background as you spread the compost, fertilizer, and planted the little bush. I loved quiet times like that in my own garden - just the birds, quiet, Father/God, and me to commune in His beautiful creation. Thanks for posting this beautiful, beautiful video. Really touched my heart.

Oh I’m so ready for this video, I needed this. My fall decor was stolen, huge planters and all, yesterday. I need this motivation today to go tackle my bare display and start over. Thanks again for your videos and positivity, you really don’t realize how much they help some of us on some days 🙂

    • @BettyWhiteJr
      @BettyWhiteJr 3 роки тому +65

Thank you ladies so much, it was pretty devastating. They backed their truck right up and started loading super quick. Then when one saw my security cameras they jumped in the truck and took off…..forgetting to shut the tailgate and dumping all my stuff about a 1/4 mile down the road, busting it all to pieces. They were caught, thankfully, but my stuff was destroyed. I’m just trying to stay positive and count my blessings and smile. It’s a new day, all I can do now is fix it 🙂
I appreciate y’all, and I hope this helps everyone keep an eye on their stuff, folks will steal anything that isn’t bolted down these days 🤦🏻‍♀️

There is so much magic in this UA-cam community. I live in a zone 12a. Tropical and rainy!! We have no frost date. I get to experience a dry high desert climate without stepping out of my house. Our leaves also don’t change color, so I get to experience fall with y’all. I almost feel like a zone 6 expert from watching your videos :) thank you for sharing your life with us. Aloha!!

I guess I am lucky it has done so well. It is raining today so I will have to wait a day or fwo. Last year I did have to harvest a little before the 4th.

I planted a Tiger’s Eye Sumac after watching the video where you planted your three. We’ve had an extremely dry summer & early fall so the sumac and nearly all of the shrubs and trees have suffered. Fingers crossed the sumac - and everything else! - will make it through the winter and come back stronger than ever. Will be running drip to areas where it’s feasible next year but will still need to pull hoses (Hoselink + extra 100’) in some places! I have a large wooden planter that I want to try growing garlic in… best I can do until next year when we add in new raised beds! Thanks for another fun and inspiring video!

Good morning! 🤣 Laura shove the garbage in your pocket....I saw myself, I do the same thing...so funny! Benjamin was so cute working the soil he is such a soul soothing little boy😍.
Bottle brush and mimosas tree so invasive here in Georgia because is so wet....in California I didn't have a problem with them but here....shish! It came along so much, you guys really did a lot this year and I am fixing to start kind of the same process in about a month of so God willing, maybe I will start the vlog as well so I can have the before, after and the progress! So exciting, I couldn't sleep at all last night! Crazy! Of course now I am out of order.....ugh I would be good for much today. All my plans or most of them out of the door they go😣
Oh well it is what it is, good thing I have you guys! Hugs🤗💜🤗
    Ps. The cats....were really helpful😋😅
Can you get a rash from the sumac you planted and if you do what precautions can you take?
Oh, also....who the hack will give you thumbs down, really? Is beyond me...

Watching you plant the shrub in real time and with original sound was so relaxing and peaceful, good choice! And perfect timing with the garlic, I’m about to plant my garlic and needed that helpful information. Thanks Laura and Aaron!

Laura, you don't know how familiar it is to me to see you stuff that plant tag in your pocket! All my clothes for every season have to have pockets! I can't garden without them!

So nice when you show the natural planting of thd privet, with the actual sounds of planting. No music and no speeding up the process. It felt it we were planting with you .

Those Sumacs ARE gorgeous!!!! Such beautiful color. Will be interesting if the zone 6 grasses survive, if they do, can't wait to see what they look like next year.

My husband is going to try garlic and onions this winter. We are in WNC...zone 7 so we shall see. Just love to see you plant here and there and everywhere. Also, cant wait to see you and your Mom go out shopping thrift store next time. Reminds me of my Mom

You sure have done a lot this year. You all should be proud of yourself for a job well done. The real benefit is watching them all grow next year to their capacity. Can’t wait and I am so happy for you all. It really is looking real good. Kisses and hugs to the kitties 🐱. Truly thank you for allowing us to be part of your family. Many blessings. God bless

It is incredible all that you have done this year! Can't wait to see it all come together next year. I love that you incorporated the huge grass yard for kids to play in!

I have done so much this year too because of your inspiration! My yard is looking great and so am I. I've lost a few pounds and gained muscle too. I think about how you have impacted my life and then I think about the 1000's of others. What a wonderful blessing you are!

It's all starting to come together in the south garden. I can see it :-) And I have to have a few of those Tiger Eyes Sumacs, so beautiful; I just have to figure out where to put them! Thank you for all you do and all of your inspiration, my gardens have never looked better.

Putting a pizza slice shape garden at the starting point of your driveway and if you can at the end point!! They would look great there! FYI take the tiger eye a few feet away from the driveway so it don't grow over in the path of your car!!
