The funniest thing is Professor represents some of these men. Nikki character was hilarious, but as soon as she calmed down in some episodes and didn’t chase him it bothered him ! The older I’ve gotten this show along with a few others , I have realized this level of comedy just doesn’t exist anymore.
They had her marry the professor in the end. I hate that episode. They should have had her say NO! He treats her terrible throughout all their show's.
Nikki was the problem. The professor told her in words and action that he was not interested in her, and she annoyingly and aggressively wouldn't listen.
I still hate they made that stupid episode. How did Nikki really just drop Johnny like that? And get married to the Professor? I would have turned him down so hard. I have chased you after all this time and now you want me? BYE

The love Mrs Parker had for Professor was hilarious! Very iconic and legendary. No one will ever be able to pull this show off like Nikki did. The whole cast was incredible! I always loved getting up looking at BET and watching these shows. 💓

If you truly love someone you don't stalk them, you don't go up in their face, drop by unannounced, break into their home, ruin their relationships and don't take no for an answer. Stanley would probably fall for Nikki if she didn't try to hard. If you really love someone you don't bother them and ruin opportunities for them. You just wait for your love to come to you.

I agree!!! Nikki got on my nerves a lot throughout the show because of how desperate she was. People have the nerve to blame Professor Oglevee for how he treated her. It’s true that the Professor did eventually want to be with Nikki at the end but throughout the show, it’s agreed that Nikki did way too much by trying to win him over. Even at the end of the show, their sudden romance seemed rushed like the flip of a switch.

I use to watch this as a kid and really hoped that the professer would’ve fell inlove with Nikki but watching this as an adult. It’s like ‘if he don’t want you leave him alone’ 💀😂 he just wanted to be her friend.
When she met someone else got engaged and stopped pursuing him he realized..He missed her amorous attention... what a great catch she really was..Then he wooed and pursued her...He proposed and she accepted.

I love the fashions on these 90s shows.
This was more so "early 2000s fashion". The late 80s/early 90s(especially 1990 had more late 80s influences; 1991- early 92, but to a lesser degree) had the same style and were similar in many ways, late/early-mid 90s (late 1992-96) had its own style, that era of the 90s I think what most of us probably associate as the culture or the poster child image of "the 90s".
1997-1999 had it's own style and different look for that part of the 90s as well, somewhat of a "watered down" version of the early to mid 2000s, that came next. Aside from some things in the late 90s, I don't think anything from 2000-2005, had any resemblances or traces of anything from the 90s.

Too me, even though this show was funny back in the days from my childhood watching the parkers. I think Nikki would've been better off with that Johnny guy, cause Professor Oggleve has never in the past liked Nikki throughout these episodes from the time when he was with Veronica. I couldn't stand Monique's character in the parkers who kept harassing the professor, kidnapping him, pretending they were a couple, drove all the women out of his life, and had him and Veronica to break up, and worst of all using his social security number for a burial and having keys to his apartment which is stalking. But, nonetheless it was a good black sitcom show ever that has had it's funniest moments. 😅😂😂🤣

Yeah, he probably would have considered it had he not been in a relationship already...but Nikki was coming on to strong and that can be a turn-off.
People keep saying Nikki was a stalker and I agree to an extent but Professor Oglevee loved it deep deep down. For one, if he really wanted to he would of had Nikki arrested and even removed as a student from the school. Not to mention he would of moved as far a way from her as possible. All those times she broke into his apartment and he let her stay, eat and chill, that man was putting up a front. Watching the show now as an adult he clearly has thing for Nikki just trying to hide the fact the he likes bigger women. Besides, he also went to the student union everyday KNOWING she was there and would harass him and still made it a point to go there everyday. He could of went else where ya know?! Lol 😂 yupp Professor definitely has a secret thing for Nikki

Mo and Countess together were a TV slam dunk. The energy they brought to both their characters was unprecedented. I can't think of another ladies' led show, funnier than this one. The chemistry between these two ladies is unmatched. There was a bunch of full episodes here on UA-cam, but it looks they're taking them down, for so-called copyright ownership. BS!!

The both of them engaged in an unhealthy weird relationship.. she stalked and harassed him yes but there were plenty of instances where I think he got off on it.. She took care of him when he was sick, been there for him through every milestone in his life more than any so called gf he dated in the show, she was also a friend to him many times when he needed one he took her for granted plenty of times.
