- Die sechs dienstältesten Mitarbeiter des ZDF sind klein, bunt und Kult. Am 2. April 1963, bereits einen Tag nach Sendestart des Zweiten Deutschen Fernsehens, gingen auch die Mainzelmännchen auf Sendung - zunächst allerdings noch in Schwarzweiß. Es sind: Det, Conni, Berti, Anton, Edi und Fritzchen.

I lived in Germany in 1970. I could remember the name, had forgotten what they looked like till now I was 10, spoke no German and this was the best thing on TV for me
I lived in Crailsheim for two years as a kid, and fell in love with these cartoons. It's good to see them again.

Yeah I lived in Bonn at that time also about 45 years ago. My best one was where the airplane took off while they were still saying goodbye on the stairs. Simpler times.

I don’t get these short animations. For instance, @1:34, the kids meet up and walk away together. That’s it; on to the next clip. They leave wondering what’s going to happen next? Where are they going? Are these clips supposed to mean something or better yet, are they clips from maybe something else? By the way, I currently live in Bitburg
@@realWhy-not-DIY Hi - I don't believe all of these are complete. I don't believe they were meant to be that deep to begin with. I think the target audience was obviously kids and they were just meant to be a silly diversion of sorts.
I lived at Nellingen back in 1971-1974..loved these little guys..57 now.

Ich muss sagen, dass sich die Qualität der Mainzelmännchen Skits wirklich nicht geändert hat.
Sie sind immer noch sehr lustig und kreativ.
Trotz allem bin ich bis heute noch der Meinung, dass da stellenweise Gras im Spiel war.

Lived in Hemer (Germany) in the late 70s early 80s. Remember these characters on the TV when I was a kid.
Ach ja.....dar war einmal. Wie mann sagt.....nostalgie. Die Mainzelmanchen waren damals ganz komisch. Auch bij uns in die Niederlande (bezonders im Suden).
Deren Stimmen sind so markant,dass ich es als "mainzeln" empfunden hatte. Einfach zu lustig,diese Männchen!

I came here to practice my German comprehension by watching cartoons. I don't understand them very well. Maybe I should start off with something easier, like Die Sending hit der Maus.
Der Autor ist Miki Muster aus Slowenien. Er macht auch reklam spots für RTV Ljubljana. FÜr uns Er zeichnet Häschen. Leider ist Er am lezte Jahr gestorben.
Das ist nicht richtig. Der Erfinder und Zeichner der originalen Mainzelmännchen heißt Wolf Gerlach (inzwischen verstorben).

I don't have a figurine but I do have a blow up mainzelmannchen (the one with glasses) He stands approx. 32" . Interested?
I used to have them all. (made of some sort of flexible plastic-rubber) But my new puppy dog got a hold of them and chewed them to pieces.

Also ich habe eine echte Hammond Orgel, eine P-100S von 1972, und die klingt ganz anders. Das hier ist sehr wahrscheinlich eine Transistor-Orgel, diese kamen um die Zeit auf, um die alte Hammond Tonrad-Technik zu ersetzen, denn diese war aufwendig, teuer und schwer vom Gewicht her. Ich mag diese Orgel hier. Passt sehr gut.

this must be early 70`s i cant remember these ones as a kid, but i remember my parents chain smoking and cigarette burns in the carpets,bed sheets, sofa, blankets, living room smelling of disgusting stale cigarettes etc....recently i went back to germany, amazing how popular the obsession with nicotine still is with germans, despite the fact its a certified killer, these little guys wouldnt pass the politically correct lefty new order nowadays, no blacks, muslims, asians, gays, intellectually challenged, wheelchair bound, transgender mainzelmaenner-schen
