Wow it's hard having lots of enemies...
Felix seems way too enthusiastic when charging into fights or talking about future adventures in this short story compared to how he usually behaves. At least to me it seemed that way. Thanks for another great narration regardless!
Well, this is fairly early in their adventures. Prior to the last 4 or 5 books, I think.

That line is a classic but GDN narration of Gotrek saying it is pure gold and had a lot of fun with this video narration by GDN

Wish there were more adventures of Gotrek and Felix with Ulrika Vampire and Snorri Nosebitter before the events of Beastslayer. We could have had 10 in lore years of adventures with out favorite dwarves, instead, it took them almost 20 years to find Snorri again, and only met Ulrika once before the End Times.
Damn you GW for bad managent. And Damn you for destroying the Warhammer Fantasy instead of making it like 9th realm in the age of Sigmar where Karl and Sigmar priests can summon Stormcasts like chaos cultists can summon daemons! Damn you!
I don't think I could stomach Ulrika's obnoxious personality and Felix's lust/hate relationship with her for that long, lol.
@@GrimDarkNarrator good point. But we certainly could use more of Snorri. Gotrek and Felix haven’t seen him since Vampireslayer and until Beastslayer, so in almost 10 years if not more.

Been a long time since I read this short story but what bothered me about it at the time was that some of the characters were acting kind of out-of-character. Might not be a huge thing but it was noticeable, like Gotrek calling Felix by his name instead of his usual "manling" in "A Place of Quiet Assembly" (maybe he starts doing that later, still haven't finished the series). Anway, great job.
It's probably because some of the stories in this Anthology are really old. Like, Trollslayer and Skavenslayer old.
I think I'll drink to that also.

That immediately sounds like just the day befitting such a ceremony. It's what I'd expect in the grimdark Old World, and for a human-handled burial for this most (in)famous of dawi slayers.
Really, Felix? With all of your personal experience alongside Gotrek, you dismiss the possibility of being drugged in an unfamiliar town you've tracked an adversary to?
Somehow, I knew who joined Felix graveside before she was identified, simply by being described as somebody familiar yet neither mourner nor grave-dancer. Just as, anything rising into an Empire town from below had to be from the most likely of races, yes-yes. For an average, unnamed skaven clan, that's a lot of black fur.
I did find this to be the most predictable of Gotrek and Felix stories, if not also of Warhammer Fantasy stories. Since as soon as the Kislevite mistress of manipulation entered the tale I knew who had taken down Gotrek. That all made this no less an enjoyable diversion back into this world. With my thanks to you yet again for this great Narration work that you do, GDN, this story would be the final short for you to cover included in the G&F 'Anthology' according to the scanned copy I have. It's been a fantastic set and now I can see we're moving to another audio perspective next. As always, have a healthy, warm and comfortable rest of your day.

That was a pretty good short story. GWS doesnt realize the treasure they lost when they decided to ruin warhammer fantasy. No other settings compared to how awesome and lore rich this setting is with all its heros and villains. They need to retcon whf and get rid of the end times or come up with a way to revive the setting.

REALLY!!! ok see now Im excited. There are so many stories left to be told. Brunner could have had atleast 15 more book written about him and I love the Knights of the Empire series. The Carroburg greatswords need a story, im sure more could have been done with the Blackhearts. Stories with the main characters being Orcs or Goblins would be pretty dope, the list in endless. I just prey they dont drop the ball.
