I agree with most things, except for the retired soldier one. In my opinion they should be at least A tier. It's true, they will never be a good front liner with that fatigue, but they are an absolute beast as a backliner. My polearm users always consist of Retired soldiers.
I've recently given up my shunning of miners so heavily, and honestly I'm starting to think they're better than farmhands. Here's why: Avg HP: Miner: 65 Farmhand: 66 // less than a level more for farmhand Avg MAtk: Miner : 54.5 Farmhand: 52 // a full level more for the miner Avg Resolve: Miner: 41.5 Farmhand: 32.5 // 3 levels of resolve for the miner (rough estimate) Avg Fatigue: Miner: 85 Farmhand: 110 // 7 levels of fatigue for the farmer (rough estimate) Rest of stats the same averages. How important is fatigue if you're using a 0stam 2h build? Neglible. Unless you want to specialize in sword and board tanks, or duelist style builds, miners are actually better for 2h wearers in a lot of cases when comparing them against farmhands.
I agree, miners are extremely good IMO. I think they are one of the best backgrounds to go for early as they have excellent hp and resolve and have much more consistent melee attack. I think that farmhands can be good to spam out indom or shieldwall or whatever but would 100% put them at least a tier below miners.
I agree with everything apart from Sellswords. They’re so expensive, have garbage events and are inferior as frontliners or archers to other classes. I would put them as D tier.
I used to hate them like you but then I noticed I don't really care about money past midgame and they are really easy to find, meaning that you can find them with right talents quite easily, meaning endgame bro
Killer on the run is D tier? Like, I get the idea, he is extremely rare and stuff, but 10 more percents to hit the head is too overpowered, especially for a backliner with polearm
I am getting very lucky with beggars recently, and they are much better than farmhands in my experience (and twice as cheap!). All you need to do is to solve low resolve problem and that is not too hard with a banner, accessories or level ups.
I agree with most of the stuff but sellsword bastard and hunter Salsworth does not have very good events and I often find that they're too expensive for what you get I feel like bastards usually get pretty good rolls I've never had a terrible bastard And I feel like hunters should be STR if you get a ranged unit like a crossbow minor Archer or a musketeer I almost always get a hunter
I agree that retired soldier is A tier (no comment on swordmaster as I rarely hire them, I guess they would just be a more expensive but better stat version of RS) but completely disagree with the rest of your comment lmao. Backline melee builds suck ass compared to throwers and HP is an extremely important stat if you don't want your brothers to evaporate if they take an unlucky hit from a chosen or similar enemy. Retired soldiers are good for fatigue neutral frontlines as they have excellent resolve, matk, and mdef. -10 fat means nothing on these builds so you can literally just level HP every level and the negative in it doesn't matter at all.
Agree with most but feel farmhands are pretty much fodder. I can't remember, if ever, in over 100 hours of playing if I've ever had a three star melee farmer.
They can be highrol-ey. However, I'm getting them with triple stars in relevant skills quit often so they're A for me. But yeah, if I roll trash, they become fodder

Once had a retired soldier with good matk and mdef but low fat so i turned him into a lowstam bro. Best guy in my team.
Thats one way to use retired soldiers. I just never hire them because they are somewhat expensive and have low HP/ Fat

Thanks for the info helped me to think of trying the other back grounds for event purposes

we need time stampes.
Nice video. It's a really cool game.

When a Trait tier list?
"I think if he gets brain damage and converted by cultist". So....like all organized religions. 😁
1 question:
it it possible to start as peasant militia and than to slowly convert them in cultists?
if so, will there sacrifice happen later?
no : /
Well good job
Mostly agree, sellsword too high, B tier at most. Retire soldier/swordmaster easy A tier backline or two hander, hp is the worst stat in the game imo.

thx, that is helpful.
I think gladiator is good, S tier from me

Same here, recruit a lot of them, but they are just average!

Interesting opinions. Glaringly inaccurate in about 1/4 of it though.
why do you sound like stephen hawking in a wheelchair talking about battle brothers?
Because I am
