A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.

Even though I’m a child, I showed this to my mum because I’m one of 5 (3 boys and 2 girls) and we range from 3 years old to 14 and my mum found it so so useful because we go on lots of long haul holidays. I’ve been on several 12hour flights so I thought I should let you know on the flight they provide:
Blankets
Pillows
Headphones (Cheap uncomfortable ones though)
Drinks
Food
I’d recommend bringing neck pillows too
a potato with no subs I think they already left......

I would bring headphones 🎧 just because like they could ruin ur ears I been on alit of flights did not bring headphone my ears sometimes hurt after so ima start being headphones
I always bring extra food because I’m too picky for airplane food. SOMETIMES on Qatar airways I actually eat the food.

I recommend getting headphone separators.
You can buy them on Amazon and they are awesome because more than l person can listen to 1 iPad or phone through more than 1 pair of headphones.

I’m a mom of 3! This has really helped since I will be going on a car journey with my kids and husband. We thought this would be a great idea because one gets travel sick and it’s frustrating to clean it up. Hacks are very helpful for me because it can entertain the kids, as well as me having to pull over and get the activity for them! Have a great day or night
Tissues... another sandwich bag for rubbish to save you getting up and down lots, esp fruit rubbish :)

I love that you take dettol wipes! I do this and my husband thinks I’m bonkers. I also always use vicks first defence nasal spray before and during the flight. Might be a bit OTT but I always used to get poorly after flights and now I never do! Have a fab time team N! Xx

By far my favorite videos to watch. We travel twice a year from The US to Australia to see my family. So no stranger to long hauls 22 hours up in the air thankfully I only have one child. I honestly don't think you are forgetting anything. Beside maybe a blanket for when they are sleeping since I always feel like they don't ever have enough on board for everyone. But each airline is different. I also do the same thing with diaper and wipe in a zip log bag like you did with the food for the same reason. Last thing you want to be doing is fishing through a bag in the dark for diapers.
The US is so casual, very normal to see kids in pajamas at the airport. Have a great trip! Love all these tips!

OMG! Mrs Emily Norris you are my saviour, this video is amazing!! I moved to England from US 9 years ago and my little boy is now 2.5, we haven’t managed to go back to visit my family yet and they still haven’t met him 😞 but this year is the year and for a 10.5 hour flight, we have been bricking it!!! This is so helpful and has actually made me more excited rather than anxious, thank you so much xx
I’m a child and I never been on a plane but we go to Florida a lot so I found this very useful because I always forget snacks and if I hav run my bag I won’t forget! Keep up the great work

My family are going on holiday to China in the summer. We live in England the flight will be 10 hours and this video was so handy!
I would recommend (depending on the airline regulations) to bring a power bank that’s fully charged as if the iPads run out and they don’t like the movies on the screen

Those scooter suitcases are so cool and easy to use whilst travelling with many kids and suitcases I have one for my kids
Though I'm not a parent yet, I do love your videos a great deal.
Fun fact: Kinder Surprise Eggs are illegal in the US (because you can't have a non-food thing inside a food thing unless it is needed to eat the food thing) and a lot of us think this is utterly ridiculous. We get Kinder Joy instead which has the toy and the candy in separate compartments.

Yes, this! Im always pretty well prepared for the first flight but I struggle to be as organised for flying back

This is perfect timing! 💕 I'm flying 16hrs to Japan with my 16 month old (On my knees!!! 😬) this Monday. I've actually wrapped all of his activities like gifts to give myself that extra 2.5 seconds 😂 I love the comic idea, and the surprise egg is a wonderful idea, do you have a special one for little Jackson? I'm not sure about giving my son that much chocolate yet..... first baby drama! 😁 If you know of any good baby snacks for flying, that would be great, he doesn't get a meal yet so I've packed porridge pouches, fruit pouches and he is still breastfed, but.... I’m going on a 3 hr 40 min flight in one month. How in gods name do you manage an 11 hour flight with 3 kids under 10 years. I’m 12 and get super bored easily. Props to you for managing to survive that xD
Personally as someone who has been on really long road trips ( like 8 hours of driving in one day) I like to read books (please don’t if you get car sick) and watch movies.

My very first family holiday with just the 1 child we had at the time, 10 years ago. Omg. I wish I was more organised. My son was about 2 years old. I had no snacks, no games, no toys. Nothing. 4-5 hour flight to Dubai it was. (Hang head in shame*). I am so much more organised since then thanks to videos like this one!
Hi Emily. Thanks for the tips. I have 10 hour flight coming up and I am just so nervous going with my two boys. We had a very long flight with my oldest son but not with both of them yet. I just want them to be comfortable!
What do you do for sleeping set up? Any special airplane beds, pillows? How will they sleep? Also, what about toilet seats/covers for boys for #2? Sorry TMI. Please share your tips.
Tips:
Perhaps you should take some thin blankets to cover them up. If you are going business, then no need because it will be provided. It gets chilly during long flights.
Put additional socks and underwear. Perhaps actual pillow for little Jackson, he will be so much more comfortable and you will have less stress.
Have an amazing time in LA! Try “In and Out” burger shop, it’s quite popular there.

Great vid as ever, Emily! Don’t forget extra clothes for yourself, just in case there is an “accident” :))) After 7 long haul flights with bubba (she is 2 now), I forgot to pack some clothing for me and she pushed my evening meal in my lap 🤭 Fortunately, no-one got burnt, but I had to spend 8 hours on the plane with a huge, sticky, tomatoey stain on me. Wasn’t great...:))) Have a great flight and upload tons of photos from LA, please!
Yes!! I didn't know this on my first trip thought we'd nailed potty training and my little girl fell asleep on me and weed on me 🙄 lol poor thing, she had loads of extra clothes and I didn't and I had to collect luggage, get a transfer and check into a hotel wet with and smelling like wee... It was the worst!
That's why I'm packing PJ's for each as extra xx

As a child her are 3 tips
1. Snacks. We kids get super hungry
2. iPad/Phones or other kinds of device. These will definitely help you keep them occupied
3. Special something. If it's a toy/snack of even something special will make the flight easier. I love flight but something special is always better.

Good luck with your flight, I’m sure it’s going to go very well! I was expecting to see your tablet organising sweets hack, but I also think putting the snacks into a zip lock bag is great, keeps the wrappers all in one spot.

Not a parent but have had babysitting experience:
For traveling I would advise the following:
-Applesauce/yogurt squeeze thing
-water bottle
-any little game
-iPad or something like that
-any kids Tylenol
-colored pencils
-Papers
I wish I could have all of that when I was a kid

U can bring fruits on a plan but once U get to were U were traveling to and there's some left over U must throw it out
If the food isn’t spreadable (Ex. Peanut butter) hen it’s fine so like chips or gummies are fine.

These are so cute and hopefully everyone is feeling all good throughout this long flight! I would also bring gummy bears because they could be good for when the flight is changing altitude too but I guess any snack would work!
