- Finally got time to get some paint on the front bumper. Took a lot of work to get it this far but it turned out great. Went over the process of prepping the bumper for paint as well. #stoutcustom #c10 #painting

Another great video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks and thanks for watching!
That truck going to be nice
So far so good! Thanks for watching!
You gotta be getting close! I wrapped up my sons V20 a couple weeks back and about to start a 85 k20
You gave me an idea! I’m gonna fix and paint and old 10” drop bumper.
A really good upgrade to the Kombi putty is UV activated spot putty. It doesn’t shrink back and sands in less than a minute after 10 second cure with UV light.
I’ve seen the UV stuff demoed but never actually used it. If it’s bigger than a pinhole I usually use 2part putty
I am closer. Still have a bedside to straighten out but after that I should be ready to paint the bed.
That old bumper should turn out cool. Im thinking of an old school rear bumper for this C10. Maybe one with the dealer info stamped into the steel like they used to be. We will see
@@StoutCustom always look for your progress vids. Cool truck for sure.
Love the old stamped bumper idea! Was leaning that way until I seen your vid and realized I had one of the old painted steel drop bumpers.
Love seeing your progress as we both share similar interests , only I have no patience for making vids.
I ended up color matching the bed liner on the V20 (U7475). Of course, after I took time to dolly all the ribs as you did.
Was looking for you at the C10 nags in Nashville.
Was going to go but truck isn’t ready yet. 😖
The “C10 Show Truck Project” truck is there. Check it out if you get a chance.
That Black Widow laid it down.
It did really well. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Iwata SuperNova digital though.
@@StoutCustom that will be my next gun. I use the black widow also but I mainly use my iwata lph400lvx. I love that gun.
Looks like "new money" man,all that hard work paid off big time...NICE
@@MidnightCustoms111 hard to beat the Iwata for clear in my opinion.
@@StoutCustom yep I own a body shop and work for a local shop. I like the sata 5500 for base but the black widow sprays about the same just a lil slower. The iwata ls400 is a ok base gun the ws400 is like the holy grail. Im really wanting to try a sagola 4600. But I love my lph400 on clear.
😄the tag area on the bumper makes a face 😐
Lol
used a sata 5000 for primer then a 200 harbor frieght gun for base
Um…the SATA was used for base. Sealer and clear were sprayed with the harbor freight gun.
Great info Jim and good info. I have "Nickel" plated bumpers and after cleaning, a serious sanding lightly, I went with 3 coats of CRC cold galvanizing then a Matt or flat clear. With stock spacing, you can see some areas behind the bumper. I just wanted it to look factory for years. I did't drop steering knuckles, stock height and full bed. I am just want to haul full sheet of plywood or drywall. That is what trucks originally did.
