- How can we have a good life when we are suffering? In this video I talk about the name of my UA-cam channel, Incredible Anyway, and what it means. I review an old vlog from 2018 where I first publicly discussed my definition of warriortude and how to have an incredible life with very real challenges.

Gosh, Kelly, it’s so great to see the “current” you. You look great 😊! I was wondering, of all your health problems, which to you consider the most debilitating? I’d love to see you reach your every dream.
You were nice enough to ask about my health in a recent reply to a comment. Well, you know that about 10 years ago I had pancreatic cancer. I had a Whipple procedure, chemotherapy and radiation. Against all odds, I survived that and eventually thrived. Very recently it was learned that I have a new and distinct gastric cancer, unrelated to the first, but in the same area. I had a big surgery about a month ago. It has been rough, I’ll be honest. I begin chemo (something called FLOT, which is supposed to be pretty brutal) this coming week. I am trying to be brave and bold, and to maintain a sense of humor and hope. Enjoyed this video 💛🔆
So good to hear from you, Ginger! :) Hmm. Interesting question about which is most debilitating. When I'm having a Meniere's attack, that is by far the most debilitating. I'm unable to walk, communicate effectively or see to read my phone Intractable Chronic Migraine is a close second. I'm going to be putting out a series soon called Diagnosis Discussions and talk about each of my health issues.
I read up on the Whipple procedure - WHEW! Oh my gosh - so involved! you really went through a lot with all those when you had the pancreatic cancer. More than enough for one person! I hate to hear that you have been diagnosed with this gastric cancer in the same area. My heart goes out to you that it has been so rough and that you had another big surgery. (((Big Hugs))) Well done for getting through each moment. That is all you can do! I also read up about FLOT. You are a warrior! I am thinking of you and praying for you as you endure and and persevere through this treatment. Way to go for approaching it with the attitude you are. Humor is what keeps me afloat through the rough times too!

I've changed your name my friend! "Incredible", I needed every once of this video. I'm facing surgery in a week or so and even though I have "assurance" I still get discouraged sometimes. I haven't found another Therapist yet so it gets tuff. Seeing you, from a caterpillar to a butterfly has given me a little more faith. Thanks for being real, for sharing, and another awesome video.

I'm so glad the video hit at a good time for you! Thanks for sharing where you are. Oh my goodness, I will be thinking of you. When is your surgery? Did you already have it? I'll be thinking of you and praying for you and your recovery. I'm having a procedure on Monday. It is easy to get discouraged - especially with the unknown and the hope of how the surgery will go. That is too bad you haven't found another therapist yet. I know that can be hard. Rooting for you! :)
@@IncredibleAnyway thanks for responding, I pray your procedure goes well. I'm hoping my surgery will be in a week. I've done all I can do on my part so I have an enter peace which is all I need. You Tube has been my therapist lately and so far you guy's have really helped me along. I'll be praying for you Monday I can't wait to hear about the success of the procedure. Take care

It’s difficult to grieve and accept and have an Incredible Life Anyway not in spite of but with our situations. What an important conversation to have! A difficult one sometimes. I’m sure we all deal with it. I need to grieve over and over sometimes and that’s ok. Life is a process. Always finding value and embracing that joy life can offer 😊
It is difficult! Good point about sometimes we have to grieve the same thing repeatedly! That is so true. Grief is not a straight line and sometimes involves U-turns and loops. Love what you said about embracing joy and finding value!
Coming back to finish this video I struggle with whether or not I’m going to be a parent one day I know that I’m so young I’m only 24 but when you have a disability that you’re born with like me it makes you grow up a little bit faster. But I’m holding out hope that there is so many new ways that people can have families nowadays whether it be through IVF or surrogate or adoption or foster parenting I won’t give up I’m trying to be realistic but I would love to be a mother one day.
Thank you for your input and perspective. I knew you would have insight and perspective I don't have. I never considered that having a disability would make you grow up faster, but I can see how that would be. I was thinking about wanting to be a parent when I was 24, so I think that is perfectly normal especially when you wonder how it might look for you. I pray (and believe) that you find a man who loves you so much that he will go on the journey to become a parent with you and you two will discover what is the best option for you. I think you will be an amazing mother! You have so much to give, Em.
I don't know if you know this, but my ex-husband and I pursued adoption. I had a better year early on where we thought I was getting better and hoping it would be permanent state of "improved". So we went through the adoption process (6 months) at an open adoption agency, where they put us through the paces and had us take tons of classes. We took all the classes, completed all the counseling and paperwork and background checks and were about to put our names in the binder that birth parents look at and I developed Meniere's disease which completely debilitated me. So that ended abruptly and painfully. We even created a wish list of baby items (my parents bought us some). And when I got pregnant 2 years later, my parents gifted us some of those items. I had an early miscarriage, which in hindsight I believe was for the best (it was right before my ex attempted suicide). But I still have those baby items. Hard to let them go. But, I'm still thankful for the journey I went through.
No matter what direction God leads you on the journey to parenthood, I'll be here supporting you and cheering you on.❤️💪🏻 💜
