Fedora and Ubuntu are both great. Ubuntu was my first introduction to Linux and Fedora was a also a great experience even with those bumpy early Wayland days. I eventually settled down with Ubuntu on my desktop as daily driver, probably because I already had Ubuntu on my servers.
I recently try nobara (a fork of fedora) and I am amazed for the amount of staff that simply work out of the box, it is gaming focused but it appears really good even for every day application, I guess it could be an interesting review
It's not a fork of Fedora, as stated on the website and the repo. GloriousEggroll applies a bunch of patches, adds some repos, and does some other custom tweaks. Still very nice but it's not technically a fork
Fair, even I am not using it for gaming I needed a stable distro for a t480 for uni and this work wonderfully out of the box and bonus points it worked immediately with the original docking station other distro like mint and endeavour os did give me problem with the HDMI for some reason
both distros are amazing tbh and long lived. myself I like fedora as a system a bit more... the updates are very different between the two...ubuntu is generally slower were as fedora has its six month way of things and is rolling in general. great video ^^ will be pointing new users to this one also.
Fedora is faster at delivering updates.. sometimes I've seen new software just days after release. Cybersecurity folks also tend to gravitate towards it too. Anyway thanks for watching and commenting.
@@yunanux-xh6zs thx for the kind word , still I hope you get really viral, Your video are really great keep up with this masterpiece of work love it!!!!
Pop OS is a great distro imo. I always have a usb stick with pop os on it, for emergency etc. I'm actually very excited with what they're doing with cosmic too!
@@hrshlgunjal-1627 🤣 Maybe 20 years ago. Arch is a really good and easy to install or manage for me but to work, it's not really the best distro to use. Ubuntu is better in this domain. I made mine solid and super stable with the latest kernel.
Stop being negative and stop being a brainwashed user that doesn't understand enough. You can remove Snaps with 1 command and a second to stop it from firing off again, you can install flatpak with no hassle. Yes its backed by a corporation but Redhat and canonical have contributed a massive amount to the Linux project and without their devs lot of what linux is today wouldnt be possible, along with Linus
This video is amazing as always, thanks for adding gaming section. Please keep doing videos which I love to watch
I'm glad someone actually enjoys watching it. Thank you

I have the best of both worlds by using Ubuntu and Fedora on two different drives.Informative video and well presented
Thank you for watching!

I have looked at nobara before and it is very interesting but at the moment I don't have a gaming pc to really test it out.

What do you think of Pop OS distribution?

as much as i want to use ubuntu, i want to get the latest updates but thats not really possible
With snap or flatpak it's possible. Ubuntu provides one of last kernel now and try to be up to date with the kernel.
@@xritics19 what about tools like python, gcc?
@@VermeilChan With PPA it's possible to have the latest version of both. Yes it's not native but a solution exist.
@@xritics19 oh like another version of it? great, what can i search in youtube to better understand PPA?
@@VermeilChan if updates are your priority, I'd suggest you use an arch based distro.
ubuntu or mint?
Both are great but if I had to choose on my personal system, I'd prefer mint
Arch.
Ubuntu.
Good video as expected. What do you think about UwUntu
is that even a real thing lol?
Arch is the best from both ;-)
please link the wallpapers. TIA!
openSUSE is better
No. But it's not a bad distro either.
I use arch btw!
Yes and ? I use Ubuntu 🎉🎉

What do you think about Windows 10 distribution? 🙂
You mean Wubuntu?
@@XCAT1 Yes
Ubuntu has become the new windows. It spies on you. Forces you to use snap.
While fedora does not as its source code is public.
Where it spy on us ? Stop to believe everything you hear about Ubuntu...!!
You don't know what you say.
It does not spy on you unless you allow telemetry but even then its not the same as windows telemetry.
Its open source just like fedora.
