I honestly can't believe this right now.. For the past year I've been feeling on and off miserable and extremely from stuffing my face after having eaten enough food. Everyone always talks about eating enough and soo often I have eaten to the point of nausea and numbness. So thank you for these tips I really like your approach and tips it really gives me hope that I can somehow regain my health and fitness!!

Thank you for standing up on this issue. A person should eat according to their activity and weight loss/gain goals. It's technical.

Todd Johnson thanks. Yes, it's totally individual.

This made me so happy. I was seriously expecting another person saying it's not a thing when it clearly is... I've struggled with myself for so long. I have the anxiety disorder, social anxiety and a lot of stress. And I have to consciously tell myself not to eat things I crave, because I know it's not hunger. and I get so sad when these people that should know about things like that just go and tell people that emotional eating is not real. As if it wasn't hard enough without people ignoring these problems.

+Pumpkin Cat different brains experience the world differently... and those that don't experience emotional eating, don't understand it. Which is fine, but then they shouldn't be offering up opinions on it.

Oooh! I do sometimes have to deal with extending belly situations... And I do tend to try to make it look flat... Hmm... Am I emotionally eating? Woooh... I have to check in with that... Thanks for the clear explanation!

Its not only yours brain strategy, we are trying to escape, from emotions we dont want to feel, to face, i had and still have a lot of unexpressed emotions from the past, and this is my main reasion for not being healthy, there are things you cant fix with diet, i slowly let go different emotions, its like pilling an onion, but much harder, and each time i feel better. Also from my experience there was one more factor in overeating/eating bad stuff = CANDIDA. When i started taking candida supplement most of the overeating is gone.

Totally relate to your extended belly experiences! Its miserable and I would end up hiding inside all day just like you describe. I think when I went through my "carbing up" phase of raw it made my emotional eating much worse and encouraged binge eating. Didn't fully realize it at the time. Eventually I figured out I was making excuses and it was damaging to my health. Now that I'm back to eating less and recognizing when I have true hunger, my health and mood are so much better!

Thank you for this video. I self sabotage with food when life is to hard and am so ready to check out. Your videos are so calming and peaceful even on the hard topics like this video. Thank you for helping in my fight to hang on. I am new to the vegan lifestyle and was doing well for awhile but due to challenges I recently binged on horrible junk food. I have always been a vegetarian but no matter what lifestyle there is so much junk and sometimes to hide my pain I consume it. Again Thank You it seems to be a slow learning process but I am learning and trying to fight.

+Running Raw yes! I actually found lately through self-discovery that my trigger is being out of control. Whenever I'm out of control, I feel the need to overeat on raw vegan food, and I totally agree - it's unhealthy regardless of what you actually eat. So what I've been doing is just saying to myself: you are out of control right now, that's ok. I think just acknowledging it makes a wold of difference! We are so used to suppressing our feelings and not just experiencing them and letting them happen and be. :) Thanks for your work!!

I am not raw vegan so after eating and full I am craving something sweet and because it's not easy to walk in to a shop and buy ready to eat fruit I end up buying something full of sugar food and drink, this is a habit since childhood and really hard to fight

  • @ShitDontStopYEAH

I thought I would stop overeating once I went vegan, or that I could eat as much as I want, but I still eat until I feel sick and get bad bloating. Especially now since I have Achilles tendonitis and am having trouble training just as my senior year of XC starts... My goal for 300 miles in the summer is already compromised. I'm so stressed that I won't PR this year or make it to regionals, so I just eat whenever my Achilles keeps me from running or is hurting after running. Anyway, thanks for acknowledging this issue.

Do you think Tim, that distension can be caused of the food is not chewed enough when we are stressed?
