I had great success with a much finer bracelet using Miyuki 11/0 Delicas for the base (instead of 8/0), and gorgeous 3mm Swarovski Cubes (instead of 4mm), and using Miyuki 15/0 (instead of 11/0) - I had to play with the bead-count a bit, including adding a round 11/0 in the centre on the sides, but it worked out beautifully! So then I made it in two more different but complimentary colour combinations that go with a particular outfit I'd bought, for a set of 3 'stackable bracelets' - and a fabulous result for which I receive many compliments! Thanks so much for sharing - I truly appreciate the wonderful inspirations from your videos. Happy beading!
I am so grateful that you have said before “there is nothing that can’t be fixed” and don’t stress about it. Also, once I stopped fighting the pattern and really saw it - it becomes so simple!
Awww, and I mean it!! Beading shouldn't be stressful. If something doesn't work, it's okay to take it apart and start again. I still do it all the time. Thanks for watching! 💜
Oh yes about the guardians. When I first learned to wire bead the guardians were a must so I’m very familiar with them on all necklaces and bracelets. A must!
Love, love, love this pattern. I made one this evening in just 2 hours. It turned out beautiful and I will be making many more for my fall craft shows. Thanks for all the great tutorials! Patty
Thank you so much, Kelli! It's so important to me to be able to share them in a clear and concise way, so I am glad to hear that is how the instructions come across. 💜I am resting my voice and throat now! 😊
Your tutorial is so thorough. Even though you say your voice is a little scratchy, it is very pleasant. You did a great job. I loved watching it. I've never done beading before but you made this look simple and I would really love to try it. Thanks, I've subscribed and saved your video. Will watch more and will go to your web site.
Simply amazing! I'm here watching your video and just feeling so impressed with you coming up with the pattern. You made it easy to follow with your instructions! 👍
Hi Gina, I love the bracelets. You are a great teacher for the beginners. I will be getting cubes so i can do this one. I hope you feel better.Thank you for sharing .
Hi Gina. Thank you for your creativeness!!! You are an excellent teacher!! I made my first bracelet tonight. I used bugle beads instead of 8/0 seeds beads. Turned out beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration. Hope your feeling better.
Beautiful! That’s my birth stone. I would love to find 4 more colors to make each sister of mine a bracelet that looks like their birthstones and give them as Christmas or their birthdays.
I absolutely love your tutorials & how thorough you are with your instructions! I've been wondering what to do with my cube beads... hoping I have enough of one color in my stash. If not, I may have to alternate colors on my crystals, but that would look good too!
Yep! Found some 4mm cube beads in my stash and wondered what to do with them. I think I'll just use silver beads throughout for more of a tennis bracelet look since that's what attracted me to this tutorial to begin with.
That's fantastic! I hope you enjoy making one of these bracelets. I think your color combo with mainly silver will look gorgeous. Thanks for watching! 💜
Really very interesting bracelet! I have many cubic beads, but I didn't know what to make of them. I'll definitely try this. Big thanks for the beautiful subject. Congratulations! 💐
Interesting combination I have been looking at something similar to this lol but using 11/0’s and 15/0’s but maybe the 8/0’s will be a better jumping of point after all, my cubes are 6x6mm in size so with a few adjustments it should work well. Thank you for sharing your ideas 🤗🤗🤗and I hope by now you are feeling 100% better 😊😊

Hi Sharon! That's a really neat idea. I would definitely suggest you would need to start with a wider base from the very beginning if you want to expand the width of the bracelet. Thanks for watching! 💜
Thank you for this tutorial it's the best I've seen yet that I could follow along. I've been so afraid to try any seed beads bracelets because it looks so difficult till now!!!
Gina, Gorgeous bracelet, will have to make one of these real soon. Love your color combinations. Thanks again for an easy to follow tutorial. LOVE IT!💙💙😀😀
GREAT PROJECT!!! I'll have to wait until my credit card is paid down a little bit. (Just got back from the Whole Bead Show held at Hotel Pennsylvania and DESTROYED my budget.)💖
Lovely bracelet. If you really want a big spool of fireline you should get the 1500 yards. That lasts forever. You can get it from amazon, and some fishing stores.
I just wanted to thank you for such an easy to follow tutorial. I'm so excited that I made one. Once I finished putting toggle clasp on I noticed I put the wrong 11/0 color next to the wire guardian, supposed to be white and I did gold. Oops! (I'm a newbie) Thank you so much!
Hi Gina, nice work! The green cubes are so pretty, and thanks for teaching the ladder stitch. It seems like a nice basic that can be used in a lot of situations, right? Take care and feel better.💟😘
Watching you bead just astounds me. That you do it so easily. Remembering where to put the beads🙀 also that you have access to all those seed beads. I didn’t know there were 8.0’s. Bought the cubes now need to find the 8.0’s. Or can you use 6.0 ? Love the bracelet❤️
Hi Jeaneane! Thanks so much! I've been beading for such a long time, a lot of it is second nature, I think. :) You could use 6/0's, but you may need to adjust the number of 11/0's you use on the top. Definitely give it a try, though. Always great to try to use what you have available first. Thanks for watching! 💜
Gina, I love the bracelet. Have made a couple so far I'm wondering is it possible to use the same design with a 6 or 8mm cube bead for a necklace?? Instead of 8/0 maybe a 6/0 and then the bigger cube. Could you let me know or give a suggestion . They are beautiful bracelets!!! Thank you
Hey there! Yes, I am sure you could, although you would have to experiment since I haven't personally tried yet. I would just increase the sizes/qty of the seed beads to accommodate the larger cubes (like you mentioned). It is something I would like to try, so maybe something to come in the future. So glad you've been enjoying this pattern! Thank you for your comment!
This is beautiful. Hey Gina, can I use bugle beads for the ladder stitch since it looks like you only use the top and bottom of the ladder rows? I have a bunch of bugle beads that I am trying to figure out something to do with them. If this won't work, any ideas using bugle beads? Thanks
Hi Lynn! I think that's a great idea to try bugle beads for the base. I have actually been floating ideas around regarding bugle beads as a future video topic because I know we're not the only ones who probably wonder the same thing! 💜
Ok Opal I’m put a order in through amazon . Wink let you no when I finish or need your help thank you for help me to learning something different. But if I remember I have done something like this before be it have been a long time thank you for all you do.
Got everything you recommended in to try this for myself. But does the camera make the seed beads appear bigger? I ordered the right size and mine are so small
Also got very confused about the threading of the needle for this tutorial. Do I make one tail longer than the other when I work? When you said I hope this isn’t confusing-to me it was heh
You keep the tail very long in this project, so you can thread a needle on the other end and continue working. That way you aren't working with too long of a thread at one time, and you also won't have to tie extra thread onto the piece. It can be equal parts tail thread, and equal parts working thread.
I was looking for wire guardians the other day and there are different sizes. What size do you use or how do you determine which size you need. I love the color of beads you used on the one you made online. I was thinking about red, white and blue for the 4th of July. tyfs Mary
@@ORCHIDandOPAL Thanks Gina.....I was going to look but I have a one track mind. I watch my videos one after the other. If I would of went on with my videos I would of forgot to go back. Mary
Have you ordered other cubes from Amazon other than the one that you showed the link for because I found a secondary one that gave you more Cubes at a better by and also have you tried doing this with something other than cubes with your design
Hey Bobbie! At the time I ordered mine, they were the best deal I could find per qty/AB Finish/free prime shipping, but Amazon's stock tends to change frequently. If you see another option that is comparable, please feel free to leave a link in reply to this, and I can take a look. Yes, ladder stitch is a great jumping off point for many designs, and I have done other bracelets that start that way, but the designs are different. You could use the same theory of this design, using other types of beads in place of cubes, but you'd probably need to tweak quantities of seed beads around them, etc. Thanks for watching! 💜
WOW MRS. GINA UR SO AWESOME WHEN I WATCH UR TUTORIALS AND LEARN FROM U IT'S FEELS LIKE UR TALKING 2 ME 1 ON 1 TEACHING ME & WHRN I MAKE A MISTAKE UR THERE 2 CORRECT ME THANK U SO MUCH
I am so happy to hear that! No worries about the mistakes - I still make them all the time. No harm in taking something apart, and having to fix - we're all human. Have a great day! 💜
Hi Patty, you could use Nymo thread, if that's what you'd prefer. Here is the info I pulled up regarding the differences: Size B is .2032 mm and one of the most commonly used thicknesses. It is suitable for a wide range of stitches and bead sizes includes beads in size 8, 10, 11 and 15.Size D is .3048 mm in diameter and suitable for similar purposes as size B.
Hi Rosa! Thanks so much for asking! Please feel free to e-mail me at orchidopaljewelry@gmail.com, with all of the details of what you would like in your bracelet - colors of the crystals, colors of seed beads, length of bracelet, type of clasp, etc. I will then respond to you, and send you an invoice. If you're in the US, shipping is free. A custom bracelet in this cube design would be around $20-$25. I hope to hear from you! 💜
I am wondering if this bracelet is somewhat stiff because mine did I'm not sure what I did wrong but I ended up getting a stiff bracelet somewhat stiff
Hi Bobbie! Mine was only stiff when I used 6mm cubes instead of 4mm. Also, did you use size 11/0 seed beads around the top, or larger? The stiffness would typically happen if the beads used are larger than the ones shown in the video. Hope that helps!
love the bracelet !!! and the pattern of it , but I find u sometimes confuse me with bouncing back n forth with the completed bracelet vs the one ur making , just wish u would tell us what ur doing as ur doing it ... I find that easier then telling us what ur doing with a completed piece
Hi Karina! I'm glad you enjoy the pattern of the bracelet. I'm always open to suggestions, and constructive criticism; however, I can say that's not something I've heard from anyone else before. Not to say that you're wrong - it's just your opinion. Kind of like a map, though, I like to briefly show where you are in the grand scheme of things periodically during the process. It seems important to understand where you are in relation to the final destination before blindly undertaking the journey. I do these tutorials for you all, so if the majority of viewers don't like me referring to the completed piece periodically, I can certainly adjust. Anyone else feel the same way as Karina?
Hi Aida! You can, but the bracelet will not be as flexible as the one I made in the video. You may also have to adjust the number of seed beads that you are beading around the cubes on the top. Thanks for watching! 💜

Where do I get cube beads? Looks like you are out. 😕 I love your bracelets!! 😻
Here's another listing on Amazon, but it contains less beads than the original kit: amzn.to/2Ej6G7S Hope that helps!
@@ORCHIDandOPAL thanks so much!!😽
I like the bracelet.
Awesome artwork, Your seed beads are the some size?
Thanks, Lily! I am using 8/0 on the base in the ladder stitch, and 11/0 on the top around the cubes. 💜
Thank you for the reply.@@ORCHIDandOPAL
Question - could nymo thread size B work for this? Or the size D? and can you tell me the difference between the two?
Hi Patty, you could use Nymo thread, if that's what you'd prefer. Here is the info I pulled up regarding the differences: Size B is .2032 mm and one of the most commonly used thicknesses. It is suitable for a wide range of stitches and bead sizes includes beads in size 8, 10, 11 and 15.Size D is .3048 mm in diameter and suitable for similar purposes as size B.
@@ORCHIDandOPAL perfect - thank you so much!
I am going to make the whole rainbow for me :)
Yes!!! I just posted the necklace tutorial version today too. You'll have to check it out. Thanks so much for watching! 💜💜💜
How can I purchase one bracelet from you? I would like it be white and yellow stones.

Muy bonitas mil gracias Jehova Dios te bendiga
¡De nada! :)
Can I madewith 6mm cube? Thanks
Hi Aida! You can, but the bracelet will not be as flexible as the one I made in the video. You may also have to adjust the number of seed beads that you are beading around the cubes on the top. Thanks for watching! 💜
