Can't say anything that won't sound belittling. So moving. God Bless You for playing so well and wishing you all the Best for a Happy Life. Thank You. G.
So much respect and admiration to those who have fallen for this country during the 1st World War, and same goes to all those who have have lost lives during any battle, and to do it with pride as they did, is remarkable. An amazing, haunting and emotional tune. I salute you all
My grand-grand parents and uncles were trench soldiers and couldn't speak about it after the war. They were traumatized but won the war.A Fleming. Victory!
Tbh mate you know there will always be idiots, maybe not their fault i.e rubbish in > rubbish out - I think your comment puts it in the right perspective though hopefully a few of the clowns might grasp that a little cheers
I can't understand thumbs down either! I happen to know this guy was self taught , and was Prince Philips personal burglar at least 3 times. You only get to do that through being the best!💂♂️👏
Haunting! One of the best performances of the Last Post on UA-cam! This is one of the performances I take as an example when I'm rehearsing in order to play the Commonwealth Last Post myself. I would like to know which brand of bugle this is because it sounds awesome.
Look on ebay for a BBIM or Mayers and Harrison - The one used is a high pitched B flat bugle with a low pitch shank added. However you do need to be careful as there is a lot of junk out there. Not all these bugles are identical and you will end up with one that you like - when you find one treasure it.
It is a solid silver Durham light infantry bugle. No where on the market will you be able to buy one. They are all regimental propertie so never for sale.
I always like to read the ''English'' comments and transliterate them into ''American English''. Yes, a similar culture separated by a shared language.
Hello Gareth, this is a fantastically well played and emotive rendition. Would you mind if I played it at the end of a forthcoming local performance on Armistice Day? I will be performing some popular songs from both of the world wars and would like to end my piece with the Last Post as a tribute to those who have fallen. If so, I would like to credit you properly. I can see that this was recorded at the Cenotaph in 2011, but what was your regiment (excuse my ignorance I am not familiar with the uniform) and rank at the time? Thank you for sharing this.
A GREAT Last Post bugle call. I heard many badly performed while serving. . But that was Excellent .
Now THERE'S am man, who knows how to play the bugle!
Still sends a shiver down my spine and brings tears to my eyes.
To those that didn't make it home, gone but nver forgotten
Excellent... felt the uniform on my body again the moment he blew the first note and vividly saw the sun setting again on my military base... superb!
Respect to you, I know this is four years late but still.
@@lolup9 ... its ok. Still here... Like a soldier true to his post!

Excellently played.. Cede Nullis
Actually sounding the call and listening to the acoustics, instead of just punching out the notes - That's why buglers should do it not bandsmen
Right on mate.
