Is it safe to land during strong crosswind ? Yes, it is safe to land during strong crosswinds, but it requires the pilots to have extensive training and experience in handling such conditions. Pilots are trained to make crosswind landings using a technique called crabbing, where they approach the runway at an angle to counter the crosswind. @Topfelya she's not flying today thankfully. She's just not great with flying in general although she's got a lot better over the last few years. One of the main reasons for this was her watching the TV programme about Easy jet pilots training.
Now she knows what's actually expected of a airline pilot.
