*Bought for my son. We have had one for years, works great. Can cook indirect and smoke meat. Done chicken, ribs, turkey, and the regular **MyBest.Kitchen** hot dogs and sausages. Excellent grill*
Penny, you are going to love the outdoor grilling life! Food cooked this way is delicious, and such a rewarding experience. Please stay in touch so we can celebrate your triumphs along with you, and if you need support along the way, we’re here for you!
Good stuff! I have used mine for years. With charcoal you can adjust the heat way more than with gas. The shape let’s you indirect cook anything that will fit. Folds up like a tackle box for travel with tools inside! Tips: saw the cooking grate in half to store it flat inside and to slide food from direct to indirect without lifting it. 40 coals is very hot and 30 does it usually. Cast iron grill and 8” DutchOven go inside. The lid defeats rain, wind and a Canadian winter. Grill on ladies!
Many thanks watching and appreciating your informative, fun, simple video from AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺 . Now because of you both I understand & realise how practical and easy to use. Thanks for the knowledge.
This is a great grill I make chicken thighs on mine slow cook them for two hours never have to change the charcoal... That was a fun video thank you.. A little tip... take the bottom grate out and put some aluminum foil on the bottom it keeps the grill so nice
Love your enthusiasm, Grannies! I own a few go anywheres. The lid has two little hooks that hold on to the back wall (either side) of the grill so it does not need to be set on the ground and works as a wind breaker :) Happy grilling :)
Hey, 🙏 thank you! 😊 we really were having a good time, and since then have upped our grilling game beyond our expectations! Now that summer is almost here again, grilling adventures will commence once more! Thanks for your comment! 👍
I have never used a bbq with coals, I always used a gas bbq. Today I am going to buy a bbq which takes coals. Thanks for the free tuition ladies. I too am a grannie and it’s taken you two ladies to give me the confidence to use coals.
Hooray! 👏 You’re going to love how easy and fulfilling cooking with charcoal (coals) can be! These key tips will help: let the coals get a bit ashen, sear the meat on both sides for 2-3 minutes to lock in flavor and give it those wonderful grid marks, when flipping the meat try to put it in a new spot on the grill so it will have a fresh start, remember if the meat is sticking to the grill it’s not ready yet to flip- it will release when it’s ready, after searing move the meat to the indirect (off the coals) area for the remainder of time til desired fineness, don’t forget to put the lid on the grill for the oven affect of indirect cooking. We wish you great success, and happy grilling! Drop us a shout out and let us know how you fared! Cheers!
Greetings from MN. Just found your channel. I use my Weber Go Anywhere year round, yes even in the snow. Love the flavor of the charcoal over gas as well.
Great to get your message. I love the image of the Weber Go Anywhere out in the snow and sizzling a yummy meal. This is truly a versatile and practical grill welcomed any day of the year.
Hey @ Smokey Canuck, thank you for watching, and for your comment! We appreciate your time, and hope to be making more grilling videos once the weather turns to Spring. Please check out our channel again in the coming months?!
I’ve got the same Weber charcoal grill. I also take it camping with me. Fits perfectly in my my ‘87 Jeep Wrangler, and I don’t have much space for storage in my Jeep! A tip: You girls can can cut the cooking grate in half and by doing that you can actually fit your grilling gear in the actual grill itself. The cooking grates can rest on the charcoal grate and then you can store the chimney, small tongs and a small spatula, even some charcoal etc. I got the idea from a UA-cam video also about the Weber go anywhere grill
Les Thompson you can just use a saw and be sure to sand off the edges. On eBay there is also someone who sells stainless steel grates for the go anywhere grills, and he will cut the grate in half if you ask
You don’t even have to cut it in half. I just saw a guy on UA-cam slide one side under the leg pegs and the pull out the leg pegs slightly to allow the other side to drop down to the bottom. He the was able to store a small chimney, two freezer bags of charcoal (one tucked into the chimney), fire starters, spray can of oil, tongs, spatula, small wire brush and a small bottle of dish soap. Pretty cool huh 🤔
The veggie basket is amazing! We just add a slight bit of olive oil to the veggies to help so nothing sticks. It is also a Weber product, but I’ve seen other companies variations that would also work. Thanks for your comment! 👍
Hi @Perfect Smoked! Thank you for stopping by and for your comment! We love your UA-cam name, do you smoke and grill too?! Grilling (especially while outdoors and camping) is one of our favorite things, and attending a Weber Academy tutorial was one of the best investments we made in our abilities. Cheers!
Uhm, hamburgers and green beans for breakfast?! We'd be happy to grill you up some sausage, bacon, onions, potatoes, cheese and eggs... and call it a "Mountainman Breakfast"?! Sound good?? Cheers!
Glad I found your channel ladies! So refreshing to see women behind the grill. I absolutely love grilling but most of the stuff you find is like a sweat soaked man cave. You grans rock!
That one you showed is actually the jumbo joe 18". They do make a 14" smokey joe thats smaller but still round. I use them bith but go anywhere with mods is way more versatile
Hi and 🙏 thank you for your comment. We appreciate your stopping by and watching this video. We’ll also be featuring more Weber grill episodes in the near future, as the weather is more conducive to cooking outside now.
You can "park" or hang the lid of the Weber Go Anywhere grill on the bottom part of the grill instead of placing it on the ground or table when you want to mess with whatever is cooking.
@@granniesonthegrow it keeps the hot ashes off the bottom so it will last longer and of course when cool just lifts out with the ashes on so it's easier to clean, I'm pretty sure yours should have come with one, they definitly do over the pond in the UK. 👍👍
I put the Go Anywhere Grill on a heavy duty plastic table and with the proper set up of legs underneath (provided by the grill) I have never had any problem with the grill damaging the table.
I just loved seeing you two enjoy your Weber Go-Anywhere Grill! I just received mine and am looking forward to the first meal. I noticed that you'd packed your Weber empty. You might enjoy this site - ua-cam.com/video/zFwmCgUESt0/v-deo.html - where a fellow shows how to pack your grill. What grilling basket is it? Great video!
So nice
Love the video thanks. Plastic table?
The table is a durable material but not metal. The grill sits very high and does not damage the table in any way.
Good looking burgers!
They were very tasty burgers. Nothing comes close to that authentic grilled flavor, don’t you agree?!
@@granniesonthegrow Looks like you took the low-carb option which is a great idea!

Nice! You did terrific, indeed! Cute ladies.... Greetings from Costa Rica! ;)
1:27 That's actually the jumbo Joe. Which is 18 inches The smokey Joe is the smallest Weber kettle at 14 inches.
That is the go anywhere. The smoker Joe is round 😁
No ash tray? In the UK they come with a lift out ash tray.

So much attention to technique and searing, but all to cook pre-made burgers with no added seasoning. Confused.
