...why should people support them no matter what? I wouldn't buy something I don't want, so that is illogical. I personally prefer their older sound... their new sound isn't bad but it's just not the same and if someone doesn't like it then they don't have to like it OR support it. It's the band's choice to go in new directions; it's the fans' choice to like it or not like it. Everyone gets choices in this. Everyone wins. That's the way it's supposed to be. :)
"Screaming is a form of vocalization, most commonly heard in sub-genres of heavy metal and hardcore punk, though screamed vocals also feature in music genres such as alternative rock ". ..a little Wiki there :) In layman's terms, people tend to say "screaming" to encompass the entire vocal spectrum of the technique, as there are grunts, growls, hell there are pig squeals. Or we can say harsh vocals and end it there.
I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon and say I saw them at Sakura Con also. Naoto shook my hand when I told her she's the reason I'm picking up bass again and that she really influenced me. She smiled and thanked me, too. ;-; It was beautiful.
have you ever heard of arch enemy, now there is an amazing female vocalist. I thought she was a guy at first but she's actually a petite blonde lady, really caught me off guard. U should check em out. We will rise.....good song.
