Hi Marina! You are such a sweet soul, I wish I could meet someone like you. I think a lot of people can relate to the desire to get outside after a long cold winter. I have that same mindset of wanting to GO GO GO! To do as much as I can do outside. These last two days I have {finally} started to work on my goal of starting a garden. My first tasks have been cutting dead cedar trees on my property to use as fence posts and to make compost bins (6 ft x 6 ft) In the middle of that project I began building a stone wall which involves traipsing through the woods digging up stones and then carrying and rolling them down through the woods to the drainage ditch. Anyway, I’m trying to make up for an unproductive summer last year. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and videos! -a friend in Maine
Marina! Nice to see a new vlog from you It's completely understandable that the sunny days make you want to charge outside - looking forward to seeing your garden/travel/life/dog updates. Best wishes from Scotland. 🌞
The plastic tree guards are fine. Used commercially worldwide. The bark gets enough light. BUT, the metal mesh ones will not protect against squirrel damage (they strip bark) and the deer will poke their noses through your mesh and nibble. Squirrels can't climb the plastic guards but the metal mesh is easy for them. Jerry
I love your chatter, gorgeous lady, and you were describing my life exactly here in Central Victoria, Australia. We have long cold winters (no snow, thank goodness), then the Spring comes and all is well in the world. 😍🌈🌿
You gotta bad case of Spring Fever, like many of us. I must say, you're living a nice little life there Marina - good for you! BTW, that's a really cool song in the middle of the video. Can't believe it's free😊
I have an allotment and I feel exactly the same as you - I want to get everything done now! Except my tired winter body will not oblige! 😂 we will get fitter and stronger and continue in the many weeks and years ahead. Gardening is a continuous joy because its never done! Constantly evolving and changing, like us. ❤ 🌱 🌺
Lovely part of the country Marina. Spring has finally sprung here in NE England, temp up to 14/15c. It's going to get colder again towards the weekend 7/8c and maybe some hill snow! Hope you get your driving licence soon.
Ha! 😆Ha! 😂Ha! 🤣 Love the ending! 🏃♀Look at all the extra exercise you're getting! 😉 I feel the same way about enjoying each season! I like finding the differences in each time of year and I watch for the changes that are going on in nature. 🌳I love standing in the sun and letting it shine on my face during the darker days! It's like a little spa treatment and it just warms me up! 🌞 Glad to see you have some gorgeous daffodils popping up! 🌻Looking forward to seeing more springtime beauties! 💛
Your scenery is spectacular ❤ and I'm 100% with you about projects, move at your pace and when your able/want to do a bit. It's so easy to get fed up on a project and just rush it to get it out if the way and then we sit back, look at it and think...I don't like it 😂.. bit by bit and when it suits you 👌. Glad puppa found there furever home and I hear you about not having a partner in crime 😢 I lost Charlie over a year now and still cry almost every day,😢 but if I could get passed that part I would definitely rescue another baby. Those raspberry canes will grow anywhere ! They are really invasive if you don't keep on top of them,I chose to get mine up and put them in huge pots so I could deal with them, great however if you want to grow a hedge around the property as they grow like wild fire. I love your cream jumper it looked so cozy, lovely to see a upload. Take care and enjoy your daffodils & spring sprinkles ❤.
Tu as raison, il faut profiter !
I feel the same way come Springtime, my gardens are mostly greens and herbs. Love arugula, it grows like a weed, needs little maintenance, this annual plant is the best green. I also get overwhelmed by my to-do list and am also trying to get as much done as possible in the garden on the dry and sunny days. To fit everything in, I'm having to get up at 7am. Rewarding but also tiring. xx
Missed you, it maybe spring for a lot of your viewers but I'm desperate for cooler days in Australia. Recently our overnight temps have been 27c..hard to sleep. Have a bandaged nose, from a skin cancer op, 😢. At 65, bit late for sunscreen for me, but protect yourself is my message 😊
yep, that's me going out every morning with my coffee to see if the flowers i planted are open yet. And defending against the deer. Bane of my existence. An 8 foot fence around my garden. My first corn flower bloomed this past week. Planted it because i saw them in your video. I have willow tree sprouts too. Busy as heck since January, even more now. Greenhouse over flowing and daily hauls of plants up to the garden. Such thoughtful video's you make. thank you.
Always a treat to see you posted a new video! You could never be boring. I planted some raspberry bushes last year and I did them in their own box, as the gardening place said they like to push their new growth under and up through the soil. I noticed already that this is true with mine this year. I see little new growth coming up everywhere in the box. So if you want to keep them contained this might be a good idea, especially once they get tall and you have to stake them. What could be better than a bike ride in Spring 🌱🌼!! Yes!! Spring is my favorite season, so I want to take it all in. The flowering tree and the return of sunshine, especially the colors of light it brings, so I take my time.💚
I’m a go-go-go person, but I’m slowly learning to enjoy the process of getting there too, and not just the end result. It’s taken me waaaaaayyyyyy too long to get here, but I’m enjoying it 🥰. Happy Spring 🐣🌷🌼🌞
I laughed when you said “ gotta get it all done now!” 😂 Avid gardener here, with tons of ongoing projects I’m itching to get back to yet also overwhelmed at how much I have to do. So I try to work smart. I make sure to cover any freshly dug soil and use a lot of mulch from grass clippings and wood chips to save weeding and watering. This year I bought a large roll of weed barrier to grow my lavender and basket willow without having to weed or mow. FYI, you’re going to need a bigger fence as the deer will nibble on the tips of the branches . Rabbits will chew on bark. At least around here they do.🇨🇦
Marina I am the very first time looking forward to Winter. Our Summer was very wet and hot and humid so I could not do a lot in the garden. So I am hoping to catch up in the colder month. Wonder if I feel like it in the middle of our winter. Looking forward to see your Tulips blossoming. 🫂⚘️⚘️⚘️
Nice to see a new post. Was concerned that I hadn't seen a video of you recently and had to look at your past uploads to see if I missed one. While nothing I would be able to do, but knowing you live out there alone, I worry if you are alright. Glad to see you are keeping yourself busy and healthy. Keep learning.
Your vlogs are always nice. Have you tried to get a smaller dog, they are easier to travel with, less mess and less food, but the same amount of love and company! ❤
Thank you for this good video, i am a bit behind with planting veggies at the moment and my flowers have yet to bud - i have one Daffodil that is flowering and plenty of blue iris and crocus. I wish youa good week and happy planting.
Sorry you've been without your licenses, can't imagine how that's been over late winter. Always enjoy seeing what you're up to. When you talked about being dog less, I thought you said Douglas, had me wondering who that was...lol. Enjoy those flowers.!.
Hello marina your onions should be fine in rocky soil as long they are watered regularly & fed well until they begin to bulb when i plant i only plant the roots in the soil leaving onion its self above ground how ever iv never planted from onion starts( what u have there) i have only grown from seed and seedlings as i hear onion starts have a likely hood to go to seed and i like to have long keeping onions that i can store and use thru to end of spring. Hope that helps and i havent just confused things ☺happy gardening 🌻
Couldn't help noticing that your bike seat is still a bit too low, it's not a big issue because the bike is electrically assisted but you will be putting more pressure on your knees and it is not that efficient 😀. You could have cycled straight across that stream, maybe next time😀 Enjoyed the video and look forward to seeing your new furry friend.
Thank you for the feedback I'll raise it! I had electrical stuff in my bags, I was afraid of damaging it! Otherwise I think I would have tired to wing it 😂
what a lovely spring you shared with us. i'm looking forward to the flowers blooming here (still a month or more away, probably). i enjoyed the outtakes at the end!
Yup I feel the same way in the spring, as if I've been waiting all winter to finally start wearing myself out and ofc I'm overdoing it! 😁🤣 Can't wait to see your new (soul) mate, like you, I just don't feel complete without a dog. I trully enjoy every vid of yours, thanks Marina..... actually I wish there were more 😜🤣, but please no pressure, enjoy your spring, flowers, reading,gardening...... 🌿🐾❣️
Lovely to see your flowers blooming. Bought you a coffee the other day, l enjoy your videos and want to support you living your enviable life in beauty 😍
Hi Marina 🎉great to see you back, lots of potatoes, you will be ok for chips later in the year. 🍟Sandwiches look nice as well, any chance of coming for lunch 😊😊I don’t know if you can get catch up on British TV, if you can there is a program on channel 4 called “The great British throw down” all about pottery, you might find it interesting. Great video as ever, don’t leave it as long next time. ❤️🇬🇧Tony xx
Ahhhh I'm so happy to see your video! Definitely get a raspberry trellis made ( very easy, I promise!) so that you get nice strong canes that won't flop over and makes picking berries WAY easier! Ask how I know. Lolol! I definitely feel like I have to do EVERYTHING all at once when spring arrives for gardening and I definitely sometimes plant crops that shouldn't be planted yet in my excitement. Hahah! Ah well, sometimes a few seeds need to be sacrificed for instant gratification! ;D What crops are you going to plant this summer besides potatoes and onions?
They're a very good tip about the trellis! I'll get that done. Ohh what am I not planting 🤣 for now the staples zucchini, tomatoes, salad and squash but I also already started on kohl rabi, cabbages, and different flowers! Really hopeful for this season 🤞😁
Lovely to see you :D I think I'm right in saying that raspberries spread all over the place, so you might want to contain them somehow. I love how you admired the daffodil! Flowers make me happy too :) X
Marina! You're still in the land of the living ! Good to see you again AND you took the words right out of my mouth: about your wood stockpile. But you still have ice on roadsides .... Brrrrr too cold for potatoes yet - We've already had 18C, but nights are still cold ( without frost) but can still get some before end of March. Take care on that Bike - have you a Licence to tow such a big trailer ? ;-)
@@WildSheGoes As an afterthought on the potatoes, WE have planted some to sprout early ( since Christmas) in a deep Planter type pot and this year we will put that pot with the 5 or 6 potatoes into a black rubbish bin liner bag outside in the heat and keep filling it up as they grow and get fed watered, just to see how many tubers we can get altogether. Normally we plant our potatoes by the end of the first week in May, and we have seen late frosts nip off the shoots if there has been too much early growth. Good luck with yours!
Marina, the things you have to do to film for us. No wonder you are tried at the end of day! Your positive energy is infectious! Thanks for adding bloopers at end, laugh out loud! Will it be difficult to pick fruit on hill side? My uncle had an almond orchard on side of hill, however they shook the trees to have nuts fall, on to tarps. Good use of your land though! Carry on….
Luckily it's not too steep! It's full of old roots though I trip all the time. I saw they make tree shakers, they use them for olive harvest. Quite rough but interesting to see them in action!
Cara Marina, era dal mese di gennaio che non ti vedevo e quindi sei ancora viva. Vedo che anche tu cominci a curare l'orto. Dal video vedo che la tua zona è + indietro di UDINE. Come sempre tu fai qualsiasi lavoro. Ti mando i miei complimenti e i miei saluti. Pierino. In friulano, "Mi plasares cjapati pe panole e ti saludi, Pieri."🍆🫑🧄🍇🥔
Hello Marina, I'm wondering if your potatoes are what we call 'first earlies' ? Before planting if you 'chit' them, gives them a head start, keep indoors in a light position not too warm, stand them in trays or boxes, after a few weeks the 'seed' potatoes will have sprouts (shoots), then plant outside as normal ! This gives them a head start ! You mention travelling again would be better with a dog.......just wondering wouldn't it be good to also travel with a partner/guy ?
I can't imagine how much work you have to do to film your travels into town. Set up the camera, film, then go back to fetch the camera! All of that for us 😊❤
You are a beatiful human being! Do you speak some spanish? If you ever come to Argentina you have a place in my home with me and my female partner to start your adventures from here. You will need a whole year to wander around here. We live in Patagonia .
Hi,driving licence thing do they not give you a paper to cover you like they do in Portugal while they sort it out, here in Portugal new people it's taking upto 8 months to get it changed over
Of course, I am not asking specifically (that would be a little creepy) but what region of Italy is your little homestead. It sure does look a lot like my home region of the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, USA. Are the land prices there somewhat reasonable??? Thanks
My dog is dying. I aint ever wanna see a dog again this is horrible the more you love the more you suffer. This fostering makes sense tho. You got a dog yet they dont die with you (hopefully). Seems like an all benefit
Saw this video popping up 2 days ago and deliberately didnt watch. Saved it for the public holiday in my country today. Now cosy, drinking tea and dreaming my life will one day be like yours❤

Everything looks beautiful and the springflowers is about to bloom.
Exited about your new dog 🥰🐕

Love the beautiful images of the mountain in spring ❤ good luck with all your projects 😊
So nice to see spring in bloom in your corner of the world! :)
I feel the same way about traveling! I'd rather stay local and be with a dog than go to exotic places without one!

That is so great. I'm really looking forward to seeing the garden in bloom.🙂👍
Another glorious video….
So excited about your decision to get another dog ❤️🐾❤️
I’m with you all the way! Enjoy every moment

Hi Marina! Deer do love willow leaves and branches but they may not bother with the bark. Everything is looking awesome.
It’s so exciting when you post a video! I love to see what all you’re getting up to!
If you're enjoying what you're doing you're never wasting time❤❤

I feel the same way come Springtime, my gardens are mostly greens and herbs.
Love arugula, it grows like a weed, needs little maintenance, this annual plant is
the best green. Herbs, especially French Parsley cover my whole garden with onions and garlic.
Grow Hosta plants, they're edible...people have been eating hostas for hundreds of years.
The whole plant is edible. The shoots taste like asparagus, while the leaves taste like lettuce,
both just a tad more bitter. The shoots can be cut up and served in a salad or used in a stir fry.
Any hosta is edible, though a popular variety to eat are Montanas.
Hostas are annuals, so that's a great money saver. Beautiful too.
Take care and thank you for sharing. ♥ ♥
That's so interesting, didn't know about this plant!
So nice to see you!
Great to watch your bright new Spring attitude😁😁😁 I also got a few things done on a rare dry day.
I also get overwhelmed by my to-do list and am also trying to get as much done as possible in the garden on the dry and sunny days. To fit everything in, I'm having to get up at 7am. Rewarding but also tiring. xx
Hi Amy! Hope you'll have a wonderful gardening season!
Love your videos. It's a nice little treat seeing all your projects. Keep it up 😊
I really love these videos like this you make..😊
Then you Betty 🤗
coming for videos i missed to start the week well :))
Thank you for this message! You're right I need to remember to apply sunscreen. Sending you healing thoughts!
Mara, U have a Wonderful day❣️🤗
Your videos are so beautiful and meditating. Thank you!
I was just thinking we haven't heard you for a while! Lovely to watch one of your videos on the train home ❤
yep, that's me going out every morning with my coffee to see if the flowers i planted are open yet. And defending against the deer. Bane of my existence. An 8 foot fence around my garden. Oh wow you already have a corn flower bloom? so pretty!
Marina, Never stop beeing awesome!
Spring makes my hart jump, flowers even in the city, pop up everywhere. Your home looks amazing.
Ah Marina, you are such a delight! I love your videos. Thank you! ❣
I love your place. It looks homey and serene.
Wild She Goes, you're like a breath of fresh air.
Yes, I feel exactly the same every spring. I must be outside and get all things complete at once! 🌱🌿
The bark should be fine, especially as trees get older, rabbits may try in winter, but deer do like to trimm all new growth from the branches..
Always a treat to see you posted a new video! You could never be boring.

Love your videos! Hope you get another dog soon 😊
If you are in the vlog it will always be interesting. You light up the screen.
♥️♥️♥️
Marina, the things you have to do to film for us. No wonder you are tried at the end of day! Your positive energy is infectious! Thanks for adding bloopers at end, laugh out loud! Will it be difficult to pick fruit on hill side? My uncle had an almond orchard on side of hill, however they shook the trees to have nuts fall, on to tarps. Good use of your land though! Carry on….
Luckily it's not too steep! It's full of old roots though I trip all the time. I saw they make tree shakers, they use them for olive harvest. Quite rough but interesting to see them in action!
I love the ending xD
Cara Marina, era dal mese di gennaio che non ti vedevo e quindi sei ancora viva. Vedo che anche tu cominci a curare l'orto. Dal video vedo che la tua zona è + indietro di UDINE. Come sempre tu fai qualsiasi lavoro. Ti mando i miei complimenti e i miei saluti. Pierino. In friulano, "Mi plasares cjapati pe panole e ti saludi, Pieri."🍆🫑🧄🍇🥔
Hey hey hey 👋
That was really great. I was just wondering how much extra mileage you were doing setting up and recovering your camera!
Hello Marina,
I'm wondering if your potatoes are what we call 'first earlies' ?
Before planting if you 'chit' them, gives them a head start, keep indoors in a light position not too warm, stand them in trays or boxes, after a few weeks the 'seed' potatoes will have sprouts (shoots), then plant outside as normal ! This gives them a head start !
You mention travelling again would be better with a dog.......just wondering wouldn't it be good to also travel with a partner/guy ?
Yes the potatoes are sprouting in the window sill atm 🤞 yes a traveling partner is also great but I still enjoy solo trips here and there 🤗
I can't imagine how much work you have to do to film your travels into town. Set up the camera, film, then go back to fetch the camera! All of that for us 😊❤
❤
I love 🌺🌹🌺🌹
Where did you get that hammock? Did you make it yourself? I would love one for my yard too!
It was gifted! I'm sure a quick search online will show similar ones, it's a fabric one
@@WildSheGoes Thank you!
You are a beatiful human being!
Do you speak some spanish?
If you ever come to Argentina you have a place in my home with me and my female partner to start your adventures from here. You will need a whole year to wander around here. We live in Patagonia .

Hi,driving licence thing do they not give you a paper to cover you like they do in Portugal while they sort it out, here in Portugal new people it's taking upto 8 months to get it changed over
Oh boy, let's hope it won't take this long!
جميل جدا رائع LOV❤❤LOVE❤❤جدا❤❤
Of course, I am not asking specifically (that would be a little creepy) but what region of Italy is your little homestead. It sure does look a lot like my home region of the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, USA. Are the land prices there somewhat reasonable??? Thanks
Carpe diem 😊👍
How cold was the water on your barefoot stream crossing out of 10? 🥶
8 🤣
My dog is dying. I aint ever wanna see a dog again this is horrible the more you love the more you suffer. This fostering makes sense tho. You got a dog yet they dont die with you (hopefully). Seems like an all benefit
Saw this video popping up 2 days ago and deliberately didnt watch. Saved it for the public holiday in my country today. Now cosy, drinking tea and dreaming my life will one day be like yours❤
